ALM Dinky's Taiko - cyrusrex
ALM Dinky's Taiko - cyrusrex from Muff Wiggler on Vimeo.
Follow-up to cyrusrex / LS019
"Patch by cyrusrex of MW Store.
Recording Using only the Dinky's Taiko as a Main Source.
Clock from 4MS QCD to RCD.
Channel 1 of QCD is sent to RCD and is being modulated by Pressure Points thru a SISM, It Is also triggering Dinky.
Channel 2 of QCD is routed to Xaoc Moskwa Sequencer 1, which is modulating Pressure Points Play Direction and Run/Stop.
RCD div2 is headed to Moskwa 2 Sequencer, which is modulating ErbeVerb Mix Amount (via SISM fine tuning). It is also going into a OptoMix to gate the modulation to only occur at certain times which is modulating Dinky's End Freq Control and Noise Control Input.
Channel 3 of QCD is controlling tempo of the FX Modules used. ErbeVerb and Echophone.
Channel 4 of QCD is controlling Brain's Tempo.
Multiple Pressure Points and Analog Memory Channels are Controlling Dinky's Wave, OSC Release, Noise Release, Spectrum, Mix. This is the root of the patch as it gives the variation to the drum sounds.
Dinky's output heads to a Malekko Mult, then gets split to the main routes:
Copy 1 goes Direct Out
Copy 2 goes to The Echophone, then to a MMG. MMG filter is modulated by Pressure Points and a 4MS QPLFO. Echophone's Mix, and Feedback Control modulated by Pressure Points.
Copy 3 goes to ErbeVerb which is having its Decay Control and Mix modulated by Pressure Points.
Copy 4 is from another of ErbeVerbs's outputs through BL Mr Blue's Wave-folder section then to a WMD Compressor. Compressor Side-chain is being used with the Original Dinky Sound. This gives some distorted Sounds which further get processed an Eventide Space ten cwejman compressor, then into a Macbeth BackEnd Filter which has its cut-off being swept by a Cwejman Envelope triggered by Moskwa 1's Gate Output in random mode."

"Little jam with Twisted Electrons Acid 8 and Teenage Engineering PO-12 Drum Machine. Just programmed both really quickly for a jam to show the kind of sounds the Acid 8 can come up with.
This is by no means a finished song and just touches on what the little Acid 8 is capable of. I cannot recommend this little Acid machine enough. You need one in your life. Such fun just to jam with, patterns etc can easily be copied and pasted on the fly as you jam."

"So a while ago, we linked to a video that you all seemed to like very much.
It was from the extended TV version of 1983 documentary Breakin' n Enterin', and featured Egyptian Lover, one of the masters of the Roland-TR808 drum machine, giving a brief tutorial on how to use the box (filmed, we believe, around 1981). You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqXayq... [embed above]
Now, given how popular FunkinEven's recent MPC tutorial for FACT TV also was, when we heard that the Egyptian Lover was in London this Summer, we asked if he was down to recreate the scene for 2012. Being a total gent, he was up for it, and built a beat live for us in his hotel room after performing at Blunted. Of course the speakers that we brought didn't work, so the Lover ended up plugging his 808 straight into the hotel alarm clock, which made it all even cooler.
Filmed by Kamil Dymek"

AJH Synth MiniMod - VCO

"Here's the oscillator from the AJH Synth MiniMod voice which is truly one of the best synths I've heard (modular or otherwise). Not something I take to saying lightly as I'm not one to announce something big like that but really it's awesome!
I've tried to demo how the raw character of the oscillators are while showing how these go much further than the Minimoog Model D that the circuits are modelling.
I'll have videos of every module in the MiniMod series as well as system overviews looking at the voice as a whole.
As always hit like and subscribe for more videos every week and check the Patreon link in the description to see how you can support my channel.

"This auction is Keio Electronics Lab (Korg) Mini Pops 5 analog drum machine. This unit was built by Keio Electronics Lab, which was the original name for Korg! This machine was originally designed to attached to your favorite organ where it could then be connected up to a speaker and set to accompany your playing with only a touch of the "magic" metal bar on the front of the unit! Today, these are very popular for "circuit benders" and other modification to create very cool drum machines!
This unit is unfortunately untested due to the lack of the power cord and the fact that I don't want to ruin one of these very, very rare units! The unit is in great physical condition though, having only minor scratches and dust..."

"Synth works perfectly. Fully calibrated.
Cosmetically its in good shape. There are a few minor scrapes on the rear but nothing major.
The RCA jacks have been removed and replaced with 1/4" jacks. The output has also been modified for proper line level. The other jack is Audio In. The Gate In has been modified to accept standard gate signals, instead of the S-trig Moog standard.
All of the faders work but could benefit from being reconditioned. Some of the fader caps are missing the silver foil and 1 cap is missing.
There was a knob added to the left of the keyboard for PWM of VCO 1, but is fairly limited. There is also a jack that sends it to the LFO, but again this effect is fairly limited and I just never had the time to look into it further."

This is one of the early Prodigy's that had some issues with tracking, but this one was professionally modified by Deltronics following Moog's official mod procedures. Both VCO's track perfectly!
The wood case is all original but I took it apart, sanded, stained and put on several coats of polyurethane."

"All faders have been rebuilt (removed, disassembled, cleaned & lubed). VCO & Filter have been calibrated. Some minor signs of wear but nothing major. Both power LED & LFO LED have been changed from red to orange. There are 2 3.5mm jacks at the rear. One control the VCF Cutoff. I am unsure what the other does. There is a 3rd hole that was controlling the envelope but I removed it as it affected how the envelopes triggered from the selector switch on the front. Also, I internally wired the headphone Out to the Audio In jack's unused switch, so when nothing is plugged in it feeds the synth back into the filter causing some insane overdrive. When a jack is inserted it breaks this connection."

Thought this was an interesting one. Note the "laser harp" sound comes from the Analog Rytm.
"Solfeggietto in C minor (H 220, Wq. 117: 2) (yeah they used to name music like we name software) composed in 1770 by C.P.E. Bach, son of J.S.
Skinny Pete plays it in the music store scene in Breaking Bad season 5 episode 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQlAmt...). [below]
The instrument is a Kawai VPC1 controlling a Clavia Nord Stage 2 using a sampled Clavinet D6, a simulated Farfisa organ, and a few touches of dark virtual analog synth. The beat and "laser" sounds are from an Elektron Rytm controlled via a Yamaha MFC-10 pedal board.

"Here is a very rare KORG FK-1 SYNTHPEDAL in 100% functioning condition. I bought it without the original pedal and had a brilliant technician go over it and check everything. He modded a new moog ep-3 pedal to work as the controller for this unit and added a TRS jack to replace the old weird multi-pin connector. The thing sounds phat and amazing with some massive sweeps possible as well as nuanced sounds to dial in. It has the same filter as the old 700 series korg synths. Use this thing in a live rig or in studio with drums, vocals, organs etc. Im sorry to see it go and hope someone enjoys this. Ill pack it extremely carefully and ship it to you like it was my own. Cheers!"

"HOTTEST SALE! KORG music apps are up to 50% off until August 21!
A complete reproduction – and more - of the legendary M1 that defined an era
Mobile Digital Synthesizer for the iPad
Since it went on sale in 1988 the legendary M1 music workstation rapidly achieved record-breaking sales, becoming a mainstay of the music scene from the late 1980s and beyond. The common element of electronic instruments that have left their name in history is that they had a unique sound that was difficult if not impossible to replicate. Sounds such as the “M1 Piano” is instantly recognizable and have appeared on countless hit records over many years, and yet these are sounds that could only be produced by the M1. And that’s what you can now have on your iPad!
● A faithful reproduction of the original M1 Sound
The PCM data provides the library of the original M1. For the hardware, we analyzed the circuit diagram of the original design, and completely replicated it in software down to the last detailed parameters. Engineers with an exhaustive knowledge of the M1 made careful adjustments in order to obtain the sound of the original unit, something that cannot be obtained simply by sampling the original sounds.
● A continued evolution of the M1
Not content with simply reproducing the original, iM1 provides further evolutionary developments. Synth parts now have the Filter Resonance that was requested at the time of the original. The effect parts, originally consisting of only two effects, have been powered-up to 18 effects. The user interface has also been refreshed with additions such as a KAOSS pad. iM1 is the ultimate version of the KORG M1.
● A gigantic library encompassing 3,300 sounds and 34 cards*
In addition to all 19 of the ROM cards originally released for the M1, iM1 also covers the sounds of the M1EX which expanded the internal PCM of the M1, as well as the sounds of the T-series which appeared as an evolution of the M1. There’s also 'BEST OF M1', a selection of 100 great M1 programs. The new 'Smart Sound Browser' makes it quick to find the desired sound. You can also view the sounds ranked by how often they are selected by iM1 users around the world.
