"Serial # 46xx, dates from the early-mid 70's, (I believe).
Original Spartanite case has perfect working latches, all rubber feet, excellent logo, & normal scratches.
Normal cosmetic wear, some of the graphics are worn on face of the synth, please see photo's.
Knobs & pots are all working fine. The joystick works fine but has a bit of friction on the extreme right side as compared to the left side.
Speakers work fine.
Includes ten (10) White Pins, seven (7) Red Pins, & four (4) Yellow Pins.
Includes power cable with European connector & adapter for use in USA.
Includes cable with Cinch Jones connector & three (3) 3.5 mm plugs labelled CV, GATE, & TRIGGER. (I've never used this cable, may be for keyboard connection)
Includes a Moog heavily padded gig bag.
I've used this synth for three years & have tested all functions before listing. This synth plays & sounds great. The filter is fantastic !!!
Checked all knobs & pots, joystick, Inputs, outputs, speakers, all jacks, OSCILLATORS, FILTER, ENVELOPE SHAPER, RING MODULATOR, NOISE,
& REVERB (Note: I rarely used Reverb because I used rack effects. The reverb works fine when patched correctly but some patches cause controllable
feedback when Reverb Level is set between halfway & full.
I believe that this is due to my experimental patching which can cause some interesting results."

Roland System 100 ( 101,102,103,104 ) In Their Original Boxes

via this auction

"These items appear to have been stored in a clean, dry, nonsmoke place for a long time.

The items look to have had minimal/no usage and almost/no signs of wear.

Other than yellowing of the keys and slight wear on the boxes no tarnish or oxidation is present.

For its age I would describe it to be in mint condition.

Other than the box(s) they appear to be new. I do not know if they function like new.

I have no way to test..."

"The Ekdahl Quad Massager is a quad VCA, joystick-controlled mixer / quadrophonic panner for Audio or CV. It comes with a voltage-controlled quadrature sine LFO and no less than 18 x 1/4" ins and outs.

In short, the Ekdahl Quad Massager can be used to "move" a signal on a 2-dimensional surface, giving the effect of quadrophonic panning. In reality, the joystick position only sets the volume of the four outputs. At center position all outputs are at their maximum output volume, the further the joystick moves from the center, the less the amplitude of the opposed outputs of the travel.

Each output is controlled by a VCA, each VCA has one signal input, one signal output and one CV input. If connected, the direct CV input breaks the connection to the joystick and LFO routing so that the VCA can be used as stand-alone. The Ekdahl Quad Massager also has CV inputs for both the X and Y axis, serving the same function as the joystick movements.

The Ekdahl Quad Massager is equipped with a voltage-controlled quadrature LFO that can give both sine and cosine outputs. Traditionally, the LFO is used to move the sound in circular or elliptical patterns as well as back and forth along either the X or Y axis. The LFO also has two CV outputs (Sine / Cosine) and one CV input (Speed). The X and Y axises CV input goes full range on +/-2.5V, the direct VCA CV inputs reacts to 0-5V.

Example 1 - Setup for quadrophonic panning from a monophonic source
VCA A In - whatever sound you wanna pan
VCA A Out - Left front speaker
VCA B Out - Right front speaker
VCA C Out - Left rear speaker
VCA D Out - Right rear speaker
Combination Out - subwoofer (optional)

Manual panning: set the "cosine to y" knob to 0 and the "sine to x" knob to 0 and move the joystick around.
Automatic panning: to have automatic panning controlled by the internal LFO, set for example the "cosine to y" knob to 25% and the "sine to x" knob to 25% and set the "LFO Speed" knob to 25% - this will create circular panning. By changing the "cosine to y" knob and "sine to x" knob to different values from eachother, eliptical panning movements will result. By setting either knob to 0, panning will only happen either left-to-right or front-to-back.

Note about patching: by putting an audio cable into the "VCA A In" jack and leaving the "VCA B In", "VCA C In" and "VCA D In" jack disconnected, the audio from the "VCA A In" jack will automatically be connected to the other inputs - it's like if you had four cables, from the same source going to the four inputs. The way it works is quite simple: audio from "VCA A In" goes to "VCA B In" which in turn goes to "VCA C in" which then goes to "VCA D In", this means that if you connect two sources, one to "VCA A In" and one to "VCA C In", it works like this:
VCA A In -> VCA B In and VCA C In -> VCA D In

Example 2 - Setup for quadrophonic panning from a stereo source
VCA A In - Audio source left
VCA C In - Audio source right
VCA A Out - Left front
VCA B Out - Left rear
VCA C Out - Right front
VCA D Out - Right rear
Combination Out - subwoofer (optional)
This setup might seem unintuitive to some.

Example 3 - Setup for mixing four audio sources to one monophonic output
VCA A In - Audio source 1
VCA B In - Audio source 2
VCA C In - Audio source 3
VCA D In - Audio source 4
Combination Out - to your amp, mixer, stereo, whatever you got

Example 4 - Setup for having one dedicated sound per speaker in a quadrophonic system, using the joystick as a quadrophonic volume control
VCA A In - Audio source 1
VCA B In - Audio source 2
VCA C In - Audio source 3
VCA D In - Audio source 4
VCA A Out - Speaker 1
VCA B Out - Speaker 2
VCA C Out - Speaker 3
VCA D Out - Speaker 4

Example 5 - Setup for using any or all of the VCAs as a stand-alone unit
Inserting a cable into any of the "VCA [X] CV In" will disconnect the VCA from the joystick action and make it work as a standalone VCA.
VCA A In - Audio source
VCA A Out - To your amp, mixer etc.
VCA A CV In - To your CV-source (ADSR, LFO etc.)

Example 6 - Setup for using any or all of the VCAs as a ringmodulator
Note: This requires the "carrier audio" to be a very loud signal like that of a modular synthesizer, a preamp could be used to bring a line-level signal to the desired volume. This does not result in "true" ring-modulation but is close enough and sounds awesome, no complaining.
VCA A In - Audio source to be ring-modulated
VCA A CV In - Audio source that is the "carrier audio", that controls the modulation
VCA A Out - To your amp, mixer etc.

Alesis Andromeda A6 Analog Synthesizer

via this auction

"Alesis Andromeda A6 Analog Synthesizer. Also included are a sustain pedal, power cord, and original manual. All of the voices tune, all of the LEDs and buttons work, and everything else seems to be working well. The only functional flaw I can think of is that a few of the potentiometers are a little jumpy, but they all work and pass the diagnostic test. Many problematic pots were replaced with new ones by the Analog Lab in NYC in early 2015. Cosmetically, it is in good condition. The main flaw is that the plastic end piece on the left of the keyboard is somewhat damaged. There are also a few scratches here and there, and the underside of the front right corner has a slight dent..."

Blue Lantern Assist Percussion Module Demo and Phobos VCF

Published on Dec 11, 2016 Flavio Mireles

"A demo of the Blue lantern Modules APU Percussion Module,
Phobos Lunar VCF, and new TPC SLim VCO."

Some info via Blue Lantern:

The assist Perc. Utility Module (APU) is currently available. The other two will be out in 2017.

The TPC Slim VCO, is just a slim version of my Buchla Tri Core TPC vco. Price still close to $300.00
The Phobos Lunar VCF is a ssm2040 discrete core LP BP HP Notch with CS80 inspired HPF on the input path. Price probably $199.00

On the Assist Percussive Utility:

Drum utility module, percussion

Current: +18mA, -18mA

Depth: 1.5"

Decay Envelope Generator, HI-FI v2164 VCA, and Booster circuit.

What does this do?
This module gives you all the tools needed to make kick drums or percussive sounds using your own vco modules that you have lying around. There is only 3 patch points required to connect this to your VCO module. You connect (2) patch cables to your vco cv inputs, and connect the vco wave output into the ASSIST jack audio in.

Think of this as a drum maker module for dummies. It makes it idiot proof for you to get 909-ish kick drums easily.

The PIEZO jack input allows you to connect drum pads. The ROLAND V_DRUM pad is recommended.

PRICE: $199.00

"The main audio track for this composition began as a ring modulation experiment. I fed various oscillator sources (signal generators, modular) through modulation effects pedals (chorus, flange, vibrato and phasers) through the Moog MF-102. Effects depths and oscillator pitches were controlled in real time. A second audio track was added to go with the film. As the modular, tape, Pro2 and King Korg machines appear I added sound sources from each one to go along with the picture."

Buchla 200e 291e Patched as Slew Processor

Published on Dec 11, 2016 djangosfire

"Buchla 200e 291e Patched as Slew Processor!

Well kind of :) Here is the concept to try:

250e cv split into: 261e VCO CV input, then (using a banana to tinijax converter box) into the 291e ALL input. Then patch the ALL output of the 291e into the FM audio INPUT of the same 261e VCO. Then as you raise the VCA of the 291e.. you can add a sort of slew to the 261e sequence.

I also patched a 210e between the 250e and 291e input... this was to serve as a buffer - which helped stabilize the blending of the 2x CV's back into the 261e.

Of course, more experimentation is required - especially to find the "sweet spot" for the 291e filter cutoff and bandwidth settings. Also - the slew effect is really not very extreme - BUT it works!

I expanded the patch, and used a synced 281e channel to have a sort of rhythmic patch programmed slew.

Thank you for checking out the 200e experiment! I hope this leads to more possible sound for you to discover and use :)

The DelphiChord Synthesizer complete demo

Published on Dec 10, 2016 Todd Murray

"This is the DelphiChord Analog Synthesizer. It is based on the Mini Synth Mk II from Ray Wilson and Music from outer space. It has also been modified to provide CV or Gate input and output of each section or 'module' in the design. Instead of building a single circuit board, this design used a handmade and wired vector board for each circuit. I have also incorporated a Thomas Henry (of Nuts & Volts fame) design for wave shaping, particularly triangle to sine wave conversion.

The concept was to build a synthesizer that was imagined in the mid 1800s. Not steam punk, but more like the physicists of the day would have built. I chose the Mini-Synth Mk II over his Mini-Synth Ultimate, because this design came after the Ultimate was released, and I think it is a better synth overall. Schematically, the two designs are very similar with some subtle differences with the EGs and VCF however, the ability to modularize the MkII meant I can incorporate this easier (and less expensively) with the upcoming drum synths and sequencers I am also planning.
