Multi-timbral / Multi-Voice FM and sampling demo on the Percussa mSSP

"Layered FM and sampling multi-timbral demo, in which we tweak ratio/detuning parameters of FM operators of the FM part of the patch. Each voice in the patch consists of 2 sine oscillators with amplitude envelopes, as well as one sample player, looping a vocal sample. The voices go to an internal bus and reverb module. In the second part of the video we switch to a different FM patch without sample playback in the voices, where we tweak amplitude and modulation envelopes of the FM operators. All sound synthesized on the mSSP and recorded on the big SSP.

What the Neuron actually does is it analyzes audio files (samples) and creates digital computer models of these sounds which can then be re-synthesized and processed using the extensive amount of on-board data-wheels and joysticks with control of more 'musical' sonic aspects such as instrument shape, size and acoustic behavior. The joysticks allow for real-time tweaking of up to three parameters at once - 3D modeling in a true 5.1 surround sound environment. "We're proud to offer this amazing ARP Quadra for sale. This synth has been painstakingly restored and upgraded to 11 in every way possible. Before we get into specifics on its electronic restoration. Cosmetically speaking this synthesizer is in great condition a solid 8/10 overall. There are signs of use as it's from the late 1970s. The button panel had a few areas which began to split (this is a notorious problem) unfortunately no companies produce replacements. We've fabricated a clear vinyl overlay using quality 3m material which is affixed atop the existing button strip, effectively bolstering the button strip. Both wooden sides have imperfections, metal work overall is clean, few touched up areas. Please be sure to check out all the pictures.

ARP dove head first into the Polysynth race combining the OMNI and SOLUS into one single unit with ADSR, phasing , chorus, arpeggiator , after-touch ,and basic preset memory. These were almost unheard of features in a single unit during the late 1970's- quite ahead of its time. Tonally this synth sounds vast - it produces a massive analog expanse of lush string tones layered in chorus and phasing. Has the signature ARP lead sound as well. Overall it's hard to beat! Independent 1/4" outputs for each section bass, strings, poly and lead synth or stereo left / right output or mono. Lots of output flexibility.

"Workout for the 208 Toolbox.
Using random voltages to change sequence length adds interest and animation to a simple sequence playing on the complex oscillator. Waveshape and timbre is being modulated by a slow, self-cycling envelope.
Lead is from the Mod oscillator being modulated by an external Eurorack oscillator. The shape of the external wave and the modulation depth is controlled by the same envelope as the sequence.
Keyboard touch voltage is slewed to act as the envelope source for the lead voice, freeing up the envelope for its LFO like functions.

CVGT1 provides communication between the easel and the Euro module. There is also a clocked delay in the mix. Otherwise, recorded live and loud."

"U-he Repro 5 vs Prophet 5 rev 3.3.

Low keyboard is Repro 5. Higher is P5. They are sounding pretty damn close. It is really matter of if you're synth nerd or not :) Other way there is no reason for spending so much money for real thing. You must just love it like I do.

Differences are in details. It is not about more low end or anything like that. Resonance filter is sounding different. Repro 5 pulse oscillator is sounding like in new Prophet 5. In my Prophet 5 pulse osc didn't sound like pulse anymore. Osc B detuning sounding more aggressive. Also Prophet 5 has something more 3d in it. But Repro 5 is a genius VST. Sometimes I like sound from Repro 5 more as from Prophet. I really wish Urs Heckmann would like to make Jupiter 6, 8, Arp 2600, CS-80, RSF Kobol or any other analog synth which is very high priced or rare.
