Sequential Prophet 6 , BLUE ORIGINIC, analog synth, Preset 008

Bob I. Gomez

"My original tune, I call Blue Originic, performed on the Prophet 6 synth. My edit of Preset 008 ."

Audio gets going at :27.

"New STG Soundlabs Oscillators in 5U. These are excellent sounding vco's with a few unique tricks up their sleeves. So happy to have them in the large format modular synthesizer realm. This was a hurried first patch to give me a quick listen to the sound of them.
I'm using a pair of STG Voltage Mini Stores for the pitch cv to them. Both are mixed then sent to an STG PostLawsuit LPF. The lower pitched VCO is unmodulated with a sawtooth out and the upper pitched VCO is a square pulse wave out. The upper pitch VCO is also sending a sawtooth out to an Oakley VCADSR and STG Sea Devils filter which is pulsed by the STG Trigger Mini Store. Both VCO's are amplitude shaped by a pair of STG Envelope Generators with their decay (T3 stage) voltage controlled by LFO's.
Additional sounds are from the Dove Audio WTF and FM from the lower STG VCO triangle wave, and a kick drum sound from the FSFX Macro Oscillator (MI Braids). A tape delay rounds out the final mix without the kick drum.
Recorded straight from the 5U to Cubase. No post processing."

Sequential Prophet 5 Rev. 3 - Pure, dry and raw - 85 sounds

synthlegends

"This Video is a cutting mix of a two hours session of my Prophet 5 Rev. 3, I played along all my self programmed patches. I demonstrate here around 85 sounds of brass, piano, lead, bass, strings, pads and sweeps. I wonder if the Rev. 4 is sounding as great as this orginal. I suppose yes, although it is not a 100 % replica due to modern production methods. I have no opportunity to compare them. It's great that Dave Smith did it again and made this fantastic iconic synth as a future classic. So the legend will live forever.
I know that my videos are all too long;-). I tried to get enough variety to all my sounds, so you shall get surprised and enjoy the whole video.
I didn't use any FX and mastering in this video. I just recorded mono into my audio interface and created a stereo channel strip in my Logic Pro X. So there is no additinal work in the DAW. Just recorded life.
My Prophet 5 has some mods from synthtaste, a small company for refurbishing synths in Bochum, Germany https://www.synthtaste.com/en/. I have a fatar keyboard with aftertouch and 7 banks of the original 120 sound memories.
Thanks for watching and listening again, have fun and stay well. Rüdiger"

"Great example of this rare and desirable Teisco 110f duophonic analogue synth.

Its in outstanding working condition having been fully tested throughout. All siwtches, pots and knobs function as they should. Pots are crackle free. Keys all contact correctly.

Cosmetically it is very tidy, with hardly a blemish on the front, rear and side panels. Its as clean as it looks in the photographs.

Its a 100v model, so a step down trnasformer may be required depending on your location."

"The Split-Eight is an unusual synth. The MIDI split functionality is fun. It is good for a lead sound that cuts through a massive bed of organic synth without sounding too digital, and it's a good controller."

Which one? ASM Hydrasynth or Roland MC707 Synth discussion

Synth & Sundry

"I've been very interested in both the Roland MC707 and ASM Hydrasynth synthesizer instruments recently. Here I discuss what the synth features and design approach that draws me to them as well as how they contrast other synths I have or have seen. I'm looking at these two electronic instruments from the point of view of my current studio set up and how they would potentially fit in. Thanks for watching!

Erica Syntrx vs Synthi AKS (Part One)

Allinaire

"Part One of the shootout between the Erica Synths Syntrx and an original Synthi AKS. Simple patches are compared highlighting a single Oscillator, FM, RingMod, Filter, Reverb & Noise. This video simply compares Sound and Timbre, not the functionality, extras or differences in the Matrix implementation.
(Part Two will look at a Putney VCS3 and some more complex patches).
Thanks to Djjondent for co-hosting the comparison. Check out his excellent blog here: https://djjondent.blogspot.com"

Lushest sounds for Minilogue combined with deepest fx of Supermassive wonderfull free of charge effect by Valhalla DSP.

We love Korg with all our heart aswell as Valhalla DSP Virtual Fx.

We used a lot Valhalla effects in our past presentatinos & answered countless messages - what kind of vst fx you are using to process hardware?

We are thinking that Supermassive is the best one for any hardware synth & its totally free one, thanks to Valhalla.

Minilogue really lucks lushness in tone - a good chorus effect & deep reverb for cosmic pads & soundscapes.

Inside of Supermassive you will find silk choruses, ensembles & deepest reverbs (period)

And this duo work really great together - giving you incredible lush & deep sounds for your Original Minilogue Synthesizer

We made 18 Presets for you with our own settings of Supermassive Fx
And combined them with our best presets for Minilogue via DAW -
Cubase,Logic,Ableton or any other one which supports VSTi format.

Trautonium Subharmonics With AJH Synth Next Phase Modules.

Ghost Money

"Improvisations using two of the rather excellent AJH Synth Next Phase modules I recently acquired. One for each manual/subharmonic generator. Lens focus leaves something to be desired but the camera is an SLR with only basic video facilities and the only angle I could record from. Not intended as a module demonstration, just exploring some of the timbral possibilities and sharing with you. For in depth demo and review see the Divkid video" [posted here]

Alesis QS8 Synthesizer - All 5 Demo Songs (1996) Vintage Gear

John Delta Raver

"John Raver Presents:

ALESIS QS8 SYNTHESIZER
'All 5 Demo Songs'

This Keyboard is Discontinued.

The QS Synth History -

QS6 Release Date: 1995
QS8 Release Date: 1996
Discontinued Date: 1997
QS8.1 Release Date: 1998
Discontinued Date: 2001
QS8.2 Release Date: 2002
And that was the end of the QS....

----------

Product Description:
The QS8 came out on the heels of the QS7 and was an even more professional quality version - it was Alesis' flagship model! It featured a full 88-note weighted keyboard with piano style hammer-action and a strong all-metal chassis with black solid oak end-pieces. Otherwise, it's identical to the QS7, with 16 MegaBytes of sample/synthesis ROM (expandable to 32 MegaBytes), 4 stereo outputs, 4 control sliders, discrete MIDI OUT and THRU ports, a third Expression Pedal input, ADAT optical digital output, 48kHz clock input, and a second PCMCIA expansion card slot.

The QS8 is undoubtedly a powerful and flexible synthesizer capable of creating rich sounds - both acoustic and electronic. There's 64 voices of polyphony and 16 parts multitimbrality and tons of memory and expand-ability! The QS8 uses digital additive/subtractive sample playback synthesis to create high quality stereo grand pianos, organs, strings, drums/percussion, brass, woodwinds, new and classic synth textures, General MIDI, and rhythmic/sonic loops. Most of them sound pretty darn great too! Keith Emerson wrote the demo for it, as well as some patches."

J3PO tries out the DCO-106 Juno-106 emulator

J3PO

"Thanks to my friends over at Cherry Audio for sending over their new Juno-106 emulator. This thing is really fun to make sounds on! Light on the CPU, and the FX are great. This is an overdubbed jam with some of the first sounds I made on the synth when I got it. Pardon the shaky camera on the keyboard, this was the first video I made in my new studio!"
