"The Rohde & Schwarz UBM Abstimmbarer Anzeigeverstärker is a filter with a lot of gain. Driven by tubes. Old and for sure not serviced for a long time, but still working.
It’s really cool for distorted sounds.
In part 1 i put first a Moog DFAM sequence through the UBM and later a string and vocal sound from the Behringer VC340 . No talking only playing around and searching some cool sounds.
Direct recording without mastering.

"It is virtually impossible to do a fully comprehensive video of all the aspects of a filter. This video is not trying to achieve this goal, but to document just some of these variations.
All filters do not lose or add gain over frequencies the same way, and even though I tried to normalize the gain as closely as I could to one another, there are always differences, especially at the early stage of filter oscillation. The type of speakers you're listening this video with will also make a huge difference in the perceived tone."

Microwave XT Acidic Trance Wavetable Basslines Pt. 1

"In this video, I used a single bassline patch on the Microwave XT and quick midi pattern + cc automation I programmed in Logic which I then recorded at 132 BPM with different wavetables/waveforms for the purpose of noting how the different choices affect the overall sound along with which ones I may use within the context of my music. For a couple wavetables, the filter resonance (which I kept at around 109 I believe for these recordings, using the 12db LPF) tends to stick out a little much and could be dialled back a bit. I chose my favourite 8 results for this video. For part 2 I'll be using a different filter and more complex midi CC to really pronounce the wavetables - let me know if you have any requests!
I think my favourites are the simple Sawtooth as well as Fuzzsync and Sawsync1.

I've been using this for the last year and it's a fab little synth. Quite Rolandy in sound and a smooth round sound, rather than some of the other less expensive synths from this period (thinking thinks like the JEN SX1000 which is pretty nasty in comparison)."

"Yamaha DX5 digital FM synthesizer - An ambient improvisation on the DX5 synth using Eventide Timefactor delay and Space reverb effects pedals. This music is titled Lothlórien and reminds me of Lord of the Rings, Middle Earth, the Elves, and Celtic influences.
In this ambient music piece I used a Yamaha DX5 synth harp patch that had built-in delay, and then enhanced it further with Eventide Timefactor and Space effects to create a soundscape revolving around a repeating motif and buildups.
The Yamaha DX5 is a 76-key vintage FM synthesizer and when paired with effects can create some nice soundscapes. Hope you enjoy the music and Yamaha DX5 synth demo.

"The fight against pandemic is on the turning point, more and more people arround the world are getting vacinated. Unfortunately the tempo of vacianation in Germany is very slow, so im still waiting for my turn. Hope it would be done soon, so the life would slowly return to normal, after months of lockdown. Untill than, i´ll be in my basement , making music, hope you would like it.
