Moog Muse Desktop Test Machine Spotted

This one is in via an anonumous reader.

If you click on the image and zoom in you will see what appears to be a desktop test machine of the upcoming Moog Muse and some circuit boards. Also note the boards on the table in the foreground. They appear to match the boards in the test machine w/ keyboard on the desk to the left of the desktop unit. A little bit of synth history in the making.

An Experimental Soundscape Synth for Eurorack // ONEIROI from BEFACO

video upload by DivKid

"Here we have the highly anticipated ONEIROI from Befaco who say that it is a “experimental synth voice focused on ambient pads and drone-like soundscapes”. Working entirely in stereo we have oscillators, sines, supersaws, wavetables, a varispeed looper, input instrument interfacing, filtering, combs, resonators, echos, ambience, reverbs and lots of CV control.

In this video we take a methodical approach to going through Oneiroi’s features and sounds with lots of musical examples throughout. Check out the timing index below so you skip through the chapters to listen to and learn everything you could desire."

"New module soon:
The DUAL UNDULA OSCILLATOR.

It's a full synth voice (means: don't need anything else)
With 2 VCO that can works as VCF too.
for each VCO/VCF:
- A Wave Folder
- A bipolar VCA (almost like a dirty ring modulator)
The 2 VCA can works Left-Right or Mid-Side (!) mode.

And to have a full synth voice, tere is one LFO and one AD envelope.
And a lot of inputs and outputs to cook noodles ;)

The module was presented at SynthFest and SuperBooth, and should be available on september/october.

I just like these pics. Waldorf with the help from Axel Hartmann made some of the most colorful synths, both in looks and sound. They definitely stood out when released.

Das Trautonium: Ein Musikinstrument zwischen Orgel, Synthesizer und Raketencockpit | Capriccio | BR

Too Much of a Good Thing? // GForce Oberheim OB-1

video upload by Starsky Carr

"Review and demo of the GForce OB-1. In collaboration with Oberheim, GForce have released an emulation of the rare vintage OB1. The hardware will cost you over £4000 so this is an absolute bargain.

As we've come to expect from GForce it sounds fabulous, plus it has all their additions like the XLFO and XADSR.

I do, however, have reservations... and that's because after making this video and spending so much time playing with it
1. I now would love to get my hands on a real OB-1, even for just a few hours, and
2. with all the additions on this you realise quite how limited vintage synths and lots of hardware synths can be.

I'm glad I picked it up, but would like the option to have a bit more of the vintage experience - remove all the extras and leave me with the limitations of the original - its art of the fun of these emulations (for me at least)."

Korg DW-8000 Ambient Patches

video upload by Espen Kraft

"Korg DW-8000 Ice Cold Ambient Patches from Espen Kraft.
64 brand new patches meant for ambient soundtracks, soundscapes and everywhere you want some moods going. Floaty, airy, frosty and ethereal movements. Strings, pads, bells and leads meant to be drenched in delay and reverb. Initial release price is $15USD or €15Euros if you're in Europe.

This is my third Korg DW-8000 patch bank and if you want a nice bundled price for 2 or 3 banks in one go, just contact me on email and I'll take care of you. Buying directly from me will always be your best option in terms of price. I can give you a discount every time.

Apart from that, the patches can be found here as well:
https://thepatchbay.io/product/korg-d...

Patches come as sysex, but I've also included a fully compatible FB-7999 bank as well, so if you don't own the hardware you can use this excellent emulation of the real thing instead and still enjoy my patches. Visit Full Bucket's site to download the FB-7999 emulation.

Drums in the demo video are from 'Triaz', a plugin drum machine from Wave Alchemy. A video about it is on my channel. https://www.wavealchemy.co.uk/product...

These patches are not "bread and butter" patches and almost all of these are made to be used with delays, reverbs and full-on effects. Then they come alive. Many of the patches have "dips" in them, or LFOs making the sound start slow, or doing strange things during its key-on. Used totally dry might not be the best way to harvest their potential."

Additional Nightlife Electronics Listings

"The Roland Juno-6 is one of the most sought after synths ever made. It has a sound that is instantly recognizable and has been featured on countless songs spanning all genres since it was released in 1982. Punchy bass; no problem. Strings and pads; no problem. Sound FX and general weirdness; no problem. The Juno-6 is able to do it all.

This particular Juno has been fully tested and calibrated by our synthesizer rejuvenation and wellness centre, and works perfectly. It is in exceptional condition for it's age, and has seen very little use over the years. A vintage synth in this beautiful shape is truly a RARE find!"

360 Systems Digital Keyboard SN B-311

One pic of the inside below.

"One of the earliest multi-sampled synthesizers. Less than two hundred were produced between 1982 and 1984.

This particular unit is in very good condition, and was used for an in-depth sample pack, so you can be sure it functions very well and sounds fantastic. All patches & sounds work. All outputs work. All buttons and knobs work.

Even better, this unit doesn’t have the piano sound that takes up so many EPROMs. It comes with 20 of the best patches:

Cello, Strings, Clarinet, English Horn, Flute, French Horn, Muted Trumpet, Oboe, Saxophone, Trombone, Electric Guitar, Nylon Guitar, Clav, E Piano, Trumpet, E Bass, Slap Bass, Mallet, Timpani, Vibes

The sound of the 360 is a combination of beautifully captured samples and the inherent lo-fidelity crunch of EPROMs passing through a CEM3320 analog filter. Its sound is comparable to that of a Mellotron, Chamberlin or Orchestron but has higher fidelity, and the 360 has more parameters and options.

Issues:
There are some issues with key contacts. Some keys double trigger. We’re happy to clean this, which will very likely resolve the issue.

Cosmetically, it's in amazing condition. Very clean and pristine.

Cosmetic issues:
Some keys aren't level. Some dirt on the keys. Random small scratches and wear around the unit. But overall, in wonderful cosmetic shape."

Check out the stack of manuals below.

"Complete system, optimized for midi. Did not have VPK keyboard.

Has tons of spares, complete spare set of computer bin cards, updated hard drive, FULL set of bound manuals. Serial to usb connector and minimac with TermulatorX software. You will need to register and buy the license dongle. No comp keyboard or monitor, was used with a KVM switch from my workstation.

Vintage monster synth, always needs prodding and poking but sounds godly when it works."

Lyricon Wind Synthesizers

Lyricon II below via this listing

"Computone Lyricon Wind Synthesizer Driver, Serial # B279. Recently refurbished New Old Stock (NOS), not previously sold. This instrument has been in storage since 1980, and is in beautiful shape. The transducer has been re-built with new, state of the art optical sensors that are more sensitive and reliable than the original 1970's era components. The membrane has been replaced. It has been calibrated and tuned and is ready to ship. It is truly a rare and exceptional instrument. Included is a power cord, users manual, case key and expansion port connector.

The build quality of Lyricon instruments is un-matched by modern (or vintage) wind controllers. Utilizing chrome plated brass housings and spring loaded key pivots on the controller, the action is similar to traditional acoustic wind instruments. This type of action is familiar and preferred by many musicians. It is strictly an analog instrument. There is no MIDI, though the analog control voltages (CV) can be converted to MIDI with the purchase of a CV to MIDI converter, if desired.

The Wind Synthesizer Driver outputs analog control voltages that must be patched to a separate synthesizer (not included). It will not produce sound on it's own. There are many modern and vintage synthesizers on the market that can be controlled by the Driver, including units by Moog, Behringer, and many Euro-Rack modular synths. Numerous 1/4" jacks on the Wind Driver are present that provide Pitch, Wind (volume), Gates, and Pitch Bend (lip) control voltages. If you require an instrument that has on-board sound generating capabilities, the Lyricon 1 or Lyricon II may be more appropriate."

VERMONA meloDICER with 1010music nanobox | fireball

"Since we released the MIDI companion module MEX3 for our meloDICER, you can use it with any polyphonic synthesizer that has MIDI inputs. In this video we have connected the eurorack duo to a ‪@1010music‬ nanobox, specifically the Fireball wavetable synthesizer. What a great sounding little box! Enjoy this little performance. If you like it, please leave a thumbs up, a comment and/or a subscription.

Special thanks to our friends at ‪@tomesoTV‬ for lending us the Fireball!"

UVI Introduces HX-ODDY

"Discover an esteemed classic that bestows dual analog oscillators and modeled filters for a powerful modern instrument with vintage hardware sound."

Playlist:
UVI HX-ODDY | Trailer
UVI HX-ODDY | Preset Showcase
UVI HX-ODDY | Overview

via UVI

HX-ODDY is based on the world's first duophonic analog synth, a capable and expressive 3-octave keyboard instrument with design heritage from the renowned 2500 and 2600 modular synthesizers. With heaps of configuration potential, oscillator cross-modulation, and its ARP 4023 SVF-like filters, the ODDY explored a broad and unique sonic range, notable both for its ability to mimic natural instruments, and an exceptionally rich analog character. Portable Powerhouse

Debuting in 1972, it was ahead of its time, offering powerful performance features, outstanding analog sound, color-coded controls, preset patch panel overlays to aid in programming, all contained in a small and portable form-factor. Its unique voice quality and analog character has kept it a sought-after instrument, and while it has seen numerous evolutions and reissues over the years, for us nothing beats the original white-face Mk1, which we used exclusively in the development of HX-ODDY.

Pet Shop Boys West End Girls ~ Vintage Synthesizer Recreation ~ RetroSound

video upload by RetroSound

"One of my favorite tracks from the 80s.
West End Girls by the Pet Shop Boys from the album Please (1984)
produced by Bobby Orlando

Featured the E-MU Emulator II (Marcato Strings, Voices, Bass and Drums)
And I tried to copy Chris Lowe's impassive facial expression as best I could. 😉

This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.

My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers.

Thank you.
