Modulated bandpass filtered chord stabs, deep delays and long reverbs, it's a trance inducing experience. "A friend of mine brought over a Roland HS60 for repair. I decided to fix up my personal Roland Juno 106s at the same time - then made a track using both of them!

Roland HS60 - basically a Roland Juno 106 with speakers and different button/switch color scheme. Took out the speakers to make the whole thing a little lighter, replaced the voice chips, battery on the CPU, some of the tactile switches.

Roland Juno 106s - Basically the same thing as the HS60 except same exact color scheme as the 106. I believe this model was sold in Japan only while the HS60 was for the US market. Replaced the speakers, needed a new LED display, new battery for CPU.

I also added a bunch of guitar perc. and body sounds (claps, snaps, knee slaps, stomps) as is customary for the style.

"Oberheim Matrix 6R with Tauntek OS upgrade and Alpes Machines midi controller.

The 6R as a polysynth oozes vintage sound for a decent price - beats all new analog polys i have tried in that respect. Unlike Matrix 1000, the oscillators on the 6R are clocked individually, lending to more characterful drifting and phasing sounds. The Alpes controller integration is very immediate and well done. Can control up to 4 Matrix 6R or 1000 units at once!"

Anyone confirm there's a difference in clocked oscillators between the M6 and M1000? I don't beleive I've heard that one before.

This one was bought from Tauntek and installed by Greg the Sequential specialist at Vintage Synth Repair. The best in business and highly recommended for your Sequential synth needs.
