1960s Fairchild 658 Spring Reverb / Ace Tone Rhythm Producer Dub Demo
video upload by foleytronics fx repair
"This is a Farchild 658 Spring Reverb, a very cool verb with a built-in optical compressor to achieve different reverb tail lengths. All three spring tanks are active at once, and they are positioned veritcally on the grey rackmounted panel. We used Mike's Ace Tone Rhythm Producer to test it after repair and I must say... it's a lot of fun.
The reverb was sold as perfectly working, but the compressor circuit had many faulty caps, two dead transistors and a burned out lamp. It's working great now!"

PATTERN GENERATOR PG303 by DATAPRODUCTS of NEW ENGLAND

"Data Products of New England PG303 Teletype Pattern Generator
8 ch pattern generator with variable character sequence length
If you think of some of the earliest electronic rhythms ever made, you can’t avoid mentioning morse code. The Data Products PG303 is designed to send these patterns for telephone/radio testing, and is one of the strangest rhythm machines I know. It is probably half broken and gave me a nasty shock or two as I wired the power wrong, but it is always inspiring. On the album, this drives most of the rhythm, and in the library you can hear it also at higher Baud rates oscillating.
- HAINBACH ...from the "Landfill Totem" collection
does it music?? yes!
Not for the faint of heart, the PG303 has an ability to create the strangest gate sequence and fuse morse code and musical logic... ping filters or make a strange clock source!! This unit works on pure intuition!! no operation manual, just turn it on and make the slowest of trigs to audio frequency screams and spastic pulses!"

Roland MKS-20 for the Prophet X add-on patch/sample bank | Download now
video upload by Espen Kraft
"Prophet X add-on pack | Roland MKS-20 Electric Pianos. Around 1000 multi samples and custom made patches with and without the analog MKS-20 chorus built into the samples.
These samples are recorded by me, out of a vintage Roland MKS-20 I have in the studio.
The price for this add-on is $12USD (or €12Euros if you're in Europe) and I think this is well worth it.
I will only sell these add-ons (more are on the way) directly through email. My CONTACT email address is this: espenkraft69@gmail.com If you want to purchase this pack please send me an email and I'll give you instructions on how to order.
If you want a bundled (discount) price for multiple packs just let me know.
In the download you will find 12 individual patch sysex files as well as the full bank of these 12 patches.
For your convenience I've added two different locations for the patches. The U1 bank from patch 71-82 and the A2 bank from patch 1-13.
If you want to transfer the patches SOMEWHERE ELSE on your own PX, you can do so manually, by editing the individual sysex files. Here is the link to my video where I show how you can do that. It's quite easy: • Prophet X - Overwrite factory memory ...
I can also make a custom sysex file for you if you have a specific bank or patch interval you want to use and you don't feel at easy editing sysex files yourself. This will of course cost extra, but let me know and I'll give you my price for this.
The samples will go here in your Prophet X: u17
You can of course change where you will put this folder as well.
Pack also available as Bitwig, SF2 and Wav files. Price upon request.
The samples and patches I've created are originally meant for MY Prophet X, for my live needs. A way of having all my vintage synths in one keyboard when doing live gigs, doing MY own songs, as faithful as possible to my albums. Now you can have them too.
I've also added the Clavi, Harpsichord and Vibraphone samples and patches in this pack, but these are not multi samples. The main focus was the electric pianos and pianos."
Tone Explorer: Technology Preview for GALAXIAS
video upload by Roland Cloud
"Tone Explorer is a technology preview from Roland Future Design Lab, made available for music creators to try as a GALAXIAS Labs Experiment."
Press release follows:
Roland Future Design Lab Introduces AI-powered Tone Explorer Technology Preview
Group seeks feedback from progressive music creators on workflow-enhancing AI application.
Los Angeles, CA, November 12, 2024 — Roland Future Design Lab, the horizon-scanning R&D group of Roland Corporation, has introduced their first-ever technology preview called Tone Explorer. Focused on the challenge of finding the perfect sound for a musical part, Tone Explorer uses neural networks to analyze the characteristics of a recorded MIDI phrase and presents an array of matching options ranging from safe to surprising. Offered as a functional but unfinished “technology preview,” Tone Explorer is a unique opportunity for early adopter music technology fans to directly influence future Roland development.
The Tone Explorer Technology Preview is being offered through Roland Cloud as a “GALAXIAS Labs Experiment.” Existing Roland Cloud Ultimate members have immediate access to the preview, while newcomers can sign up for a 3-month trial by visiting the Tone Explorer information page and completing a brief onboarding questionnaire. While participating in the preview, newcomers will enjoy the full range of benefits a Roland Cloud Ultimate membership has to offer.
Paul McCabe, leader of Roland Future Design Lab, said, 'When Roland and Universal Music Group established The Principles for Music Creation with AI, hearing from musicians as we consider and develop AI applications was made fundamental. With the Tone Explorer technology preview, we are honoring this as we seek input from innovative music creators on everything from initial concept to execution. If we move forward with Tone Explorer development in the future, it will be based directly on the feedback we receive over the coming weeks.'

HAP - Eurorack dual Bernoulli gate logic utility
video upload by DecadeBridge
"In this patch I'm using HAP to trigger 3 Prok drum modules, 4 Rample samples 3 envelope generators and seeding Mutable Instruments Beads. The trigger input is taken from Pam's pro workout through the Coeo passive mult. One of HAP's outputs is also sent through Coeo to gate the doepfer A140 and 1 of Rample's samples.
HAP is a 1 in, 10 out, dual Bernoulli/AND gate logic module for eurorack. When HAP receives a gate or trigger at it's trigger input it randomly selects (based on it's settings) to set one of it's outputs high (2 x 2 Bernoulli gates).
It features probability (1|2) and Skip for both Bernoulli gates and switchable CV inputs for both controls.
It also features 5 AND gates that are set high depending on the state of the Bernoulli outputs and 1 extra random output that is on or off for 50% of the time."
Make Noise Bruxa delay "experiment"
video upload by John Schussler
"After a long wait, Bruxa has arrived (apparently it's pronounced 'broosha').
In theory it's a mostly a delay, but the way the feedback and filtering has been implemented, it's really a texturizer. No bouncy-bounce here.
The first couple sections of this vid use a combo of VCOs through a Fourcaster to shift between them, and some different sequence speeds. But frankly the most interesting bit is the third section, where it's just one note coming out of a Befaco Octaves VCO that's the real winner.
So if you want to go straight for the money, skip to the 19 minute mark or so.
The only additional effect is a bunch of reverb, mostly here to spread out the stereo field.

Seven Sisters Percussion Synthesizer From Recovery Effects Demo
video upload by recoverysounds
"Seven Sisters is a percussion synthesizer with seven voices that aims to capture the essence of late '70s instruments like the Syncussion and Syndrum. This instrument offers an expanded number of voices, with six playable simultaneously and one switchable voice. The editable parameters are limited to essentials like pitch and decay, making them easy to control in a live setting without the need for menu diving.
Each voice is equipped with multiple oscillators, noise generators, and filters, providing rich, complex tones beyond the capabilities of the original devices. This allows you to recreate classic sounds or craft more realistic snare, hi-hat, and cymbal effects. The result is a powerful percussion synthesizer that blends the essence of early drum synthesis with modern flexibility.
You can trigger Seven Sisters using the buttons at the bottom of the unit or trigger inputs at the top. It's the perfect companion for your Beatstep Pro, Korg SQ-64, Eurorack, or other trigger sequencers. The compact design leaves ample space for controlling the unit in a live setting. Seven Sisters is the perfect tool for integrating vintage and classic synth sounds into your music production and beat-making, whether in the studio or on stage.
Designed and assembled in Seattle, Washington.
Operates on a standard 9Vdc Boss-style power supply (not included, but available for purchase).
Includes a one-year limited warranty if registered within 30 days of delivery.
Output is line level 3.5mm mono or stereo (dual mono)
Dimensions: 12” x 4 5/8” x 1 3/4”
