"Soma Laboratories Lyra 8 analogue synthesizer drone machine.

I created this soundscape and short film for Halloween 2021. A friend and I went for a walk around beacon fell to do some filming and sound recording a few weeks ago, but the weather was far too wet and windy to do either!

However, I managed to get a few shots of the spectacular foggy atmospheres on my Osmo action, and thought they would pair well with the otherworldy sounds of the Lyra 8... so here we are.

The samples are from some radio show about haunted woodlands I recorded late on night on my field recorder.

"DX7. And lots of it!
When looking for a good tune for my annual Halloween cover, I began by looking through John Carpenter scores but found it difficult to pick one that I havn't already covered on this channel. I needed to cast a wider net, so began searching out other cult favourites, when suddenly it occured to me that I'd never seen any of George Romero's classic zombie movies!
After watching Night Of The Living Dead and very quickly burned through the rest of the franchise, I found that I loved this groovy entry into the series.
Though the 3rd installment in Romero's "Dead" works is considered one of the weaker films, John Harrison's synth-heavy score has swiftly become one of my favourites and I'm glad to present it here.

The (mostly) true tale of what it took for me to get my haunted Akai AX60 back home and working.

This was intented to be a halloween special, but I missed the deadline and now its a Friday 13th special, this also serves as my 200 subscriber special.

With a few exceptions, the whole soundtrack was made with the AX60, an RE201, and the stock compressor available on reaper. Samples for drums of course, and a few screams.

Something lighthearted that took a lot more time to create, as a way to say thanks to those who think I'm worth their time. Thank you."

"We take a quick look at making two spoOo0ky sounds for the Halloween season.

The first, a growling bass, uses a stereo oscillator's unique stereo field to create evolving and animated filter movements and behavior.

The second, a classic Theremin sound, uses slight vibrato and reverb to create a warbled and eerie sound!

The AWM-3 is a 3 channel mixer, with additional features such as wave folding/shaping (for both independent positive and negative folding), per channel.

Channels can be chained together to create multi-folding, up to triple wave folding. A compressor allows for dynamic signals (VCA driven) to fine tune a wide array of new sonic character.

Bias is adjustable (threshold for wavefold action), as well as a level trim (6 total) for each channel's positive and negative bias modulation via the additional CV inputs.

Each channel also has a buffered output.
