Macbeth Synthesizer: Elements 2 (EL2) demo. Short demo. No talking.
video upload by Andromeda Music
"Quick noodle on the EL2 from Ken Macbeth. Sequenced by Orthogonal Devices ER-101/102 combo. What you hear are the dry outputs. No external FX, no post processing. Ableton record & bounce. Quite a beast of a machine and my desert island synth. Enjoy!"

"Second video and slightly longer than the first. A rudimentary sequence on the magnificent ER-101/102 combo. The purpose of the video is just to show how it sounds, without external FX, or any post processing. What you are listening to are the dry outputs. Enjoy :)"

Bad Gear - The 90s called...
video upload by AudioPilz
"Welcome to Bad Gear, the show about the world's most hated audio tools. Today we are going to talk about the Korg Electribe EM-1 Music Production Station. Can this all-in-one music production tool from the year 2001 give us the sound of the 90s??? Is it on par with its more famous sibling, the Korg Electribe ER-1 rhythm synthesizer and can it keep up with contemporary grooveboxes like the Korg Electribe 2, Akai MPC One, Roland MC-101, Elektron Digitakt or Teenage Engineering OP-1??? The 90s called... they want their crunchy lofi samples back."

Beast-Tek Transmuter - Drum Machine and Groove Box Interface Eurorack Module
Beast-Tek
Playlist:
Beast-Tek Transmuter Volca Drum Test
Beast-Tek Transmuter VS MC-101
Beast-Tek Transmuter VS ER-1
"Transmuter is a bi-directional 8 channel MIDI to gate/trigger AND gate/trigger to MIDI packed into a single 10hp module. Transmuter was designed to get your external gear working together with your Eurorack modular so that you can expand your creativity and sonic palette without having to move to a bigger rack. Unlike most other MIDI to CV converters, Transmuter does not have a 1V/octave output for pitch which may seem weird at first .. BUT this is because Transmuter was designed to get external gear jamming alongside your modular without a DAW, instead of providing external control of your modular by a DAW, sequencer or keyboard.

twinCUSSION 4
Published on Oct 18, 2018 vermonagear
"This video presents a small patch using only the available space within our Modular Case 104. If you follow our performance, you will find us mainly playing this patch using the modules’ switches and buttons. While we were pleased with the sound of this patch and found it worth being published we also found it worth showcasing such method of patch control where we cannot mess anything up as switches and buttons allow for jumping between settings at no risk.
twinVCFilter
The twinVCFilter is driven into self-oscillation on both sections, forming a dual sine wave oscillator. The first sections’ frequency modulates the second section for enhanced timbre control.
Both filter sections are controlled by the ER-101.
The filter’s output is fed to the Morphing Terrarium’s (MT) sync input while the output of the MT is used to amplitude-modulate the twinVCFilter’s output. Mostly we let the MT run at lower frequencies to misuse it as an envelope generator in this patch. This does not work just perfect, but it also shows how flexible modular can be.
twinCUSSION 1 (left)
Section A is pitch-modulated by a mix of its envelope output and its sine wave output. This allows bending the waveforms symmetry while retaining the pre-patched pitch bend. Toggling the frequency range switch to HI while shortening the envelope’s decay drastically down gives a nice and sharp click sound and makes up for an excellent alternative to the voluminous kick, that we achieve when setting the range switch to LO position while increasing the decay again.
Section B receives CV-data from the ER-101 sequencer. We also routed a voiceover into the square wave output, where it gets mangled with the internal waveform. By toggling the waveform switch, we can drastically change the final output of this section.
twinCUSSION 2 (right)
Section A receives the noise output of twinCUSSION 1 which is being amplified using the twinVCAmp. This way we trim the mix ratio between internal and external signals. Thus we can select between clean and noisy sounds to switch between drums and snare.
Section B generates the hihats and is amplitude-modulated by its sine wave outputs resulting in some tremolo-like effect.
The sum of all drum sounds is amplitude-modulated by an envelope to achieve global dynamic control over the drums itself and the inserted voice sample.
We hope you enjoyed this patch and that we could lift your imagination in modular ways.
Thanks for watching!

Update: some pics and details captured. I made the mistake of trying to capture them all and then realized how many were listed. :) I ended up switching to the more esoteric models. Quite a few have never been featured here on MATRIXSYNTH before. What's a little bit interesting, is only two new labels were needed, one for Domino and one for Side-Kick-Er. All other brands have been featured before. See the labels at the bottom of this post. Side note: Blogger limits the number of characters to 200 for labels, so I wasn't able to capture them all for this post. You can always search for the brand names featured for more. I assume most do this anyway. The labels are more for maintenance and for finding posts that may not feature brand names in descriptions.

Mixjam1 movie
Published on May 29, 2018 e-pleasure
"A Jam with a mixture of Instruments, this time only a small modular part with the Arpeggio sound from the fantastic lil'Erebus from Dreadbox. This sound is a little mit compressed by a sidechain-gate coming from the deluge to a wmd compressor.
The Arpeggio is programmed in the ER-101, transposed over ER-102 by a cv from the Deluge. Drums and bassline also programmed in the also fantastic Synthstrom Deluge. Lead played by a nonskilled player on the Dominion1 for MFB.
There's a Limiter on the sum and in the end I had to made a little volume automation because of the high output of the feedback in the echo of the erebus ;-) What a cool little echo!"

ER-301 / Morphagene / Eurorack Ambient Guitar Synthesis
Published on Dec 18, 2017 Drink The Corpse Vomit
"DRINK THE CORPSE VOMIT PRESENTS - GORE GAS
Patch Notes:
More guitar tones made from scratch. Raw tones through a few ER-301 Convolution units sound really convincing to my ears. The pick sounds are pitched independently to the sustained notes adding further depth.
The sounds for each of the 2 'guitar' voices are 4 voice polyphonic and triggered with the new Bump unit to let the notes ring out. I think this is called 'hocketing' and works similarly to the Intellijel Shifty. The lead voice is played badly by hand, the supporting voice is sequenced by the ER-101 via the ER-102 real time record function.
The lead voice is through the Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water and Lofi Junky. The supporting voice is through the Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl 2.
Morphagene is graining a pre-prepared 'string' section of some wavefolded sines. Into a Cwejman saturation chain ( MMF-6 etc. )
Each separate track is printed to an Orion 32 via a Praxis Snake Charmer - A pristine audio route that is wasted on this filth."

Cwejman Journey
Published on Nov 7, 2017 Dudadius
"All sounds from Cwejmam. Orthogonal Devices sequencing.
Patch Notes.
This patch was inspired by Maho Cwejman asking if anyone had some ADSR-VC2 or CTG-VC videos. I didn’t want to do a demo, but I had the idea that I would do a Cwejman-centric patch and use those modules as the back-bone.
All of the sound sources are from the Cwejman family. Just supplementing with the sequencers and some modulation sources.
Drone is Monome Ansible controlling the PH8 as an oscillator in the QMMF4. 2 of the Ansible channels are modulating the QMMF’s frequencies to create a shifting chord sequence. The whole shebang goes through one side of MMF2, the and FSH-1 for effects. Malekko Varigate-8 is running the rhythmic modulation on that.
Rhythm. Kick is the CTG hitting the MMF6. Release time is modulated by the CV out of the Eloquencer, which is programming all the of the rhythm tracks.
‘Snare’ is the BLD. Hat is the RG6 going into the VCA-2P, which has it’s panning being modulated by a Batumi.
All of the percussion goes into a MX4S. One side goes to the main mixer, WMD Performance mixer, and one side goes into the side-chain input of the DP2.
Melodics.
Still wrapping my head around the Orthogonal Devices ER-101/102, but they are driving three voices.
Bass is a VCO6 into the MMF1s.
Middle and upper voices are the two sides of a VCO-2RM into a DMF2. They both go to the VCA_4MX into the input of the DP2. The percussion is side-chaining all of the melodics there.
Then they all go through the SPH2 for a little stereo fun.
I’m using Intellijel Rainmaker and Audio Damage EOS reverb for effects.
There is a slight amount of Electron Analog Heat on the whole thing. Mastered with Izotope Ozone 8, Vertigo VSM2 and Fab Filter Limiter.
Whew…."

The rig rundown videos give us a chance to speak to the artists, check out their approach and gear talking about their performance and how they did it. VCOADSR performing a blinding modular techno set, that certainly in the room sounded like multi-tracked, produced, compressed and EQ'd electronic production.
