๐ฆ Get these patches: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/micr...
‼️ Compatible with Microkorg 2 only. Not compatible with the original Microkorg 1.
๐ค The author of the soundset is skendi (Arseniy Pushkov).
๐จThe soundset spans a wide range of tones, from dirty, noisy, lo-fi, punchy and detuned to more atmospheric and smoothed.
The sounds include various combinations of oscillators in different modes, as well as different types of reverb, delay, distortion, filters, and modulations.
๐ ModWheel adds expressiveness — brightening the sound for dynamic performance.
๐นThe soundset is suitable for many genres: industrial, electronica, cinematic, darkwave, synthwave, IDM, bass music, progressive, techno, breaks, jungle, and others.
๐ก To import presets, connect the MicroKorg 2 to your computer via USB and set the synthesizer to USB Mass Storage mode (press and hold the Function 1 button while powering on the unit—this is the left/first button below the display).
The storage contains a "programs" folder. Locate the user presets—their names start with the letter "U". Delete all 64 user presets: from U_A1 to U_H8 (or back them up to a folder on your computer).
Copy the files from the "programs" folder in the downloaded soundset and paste them into the "programs" folder in the Mass Storage.
Once completed, eject the USB drive and exit USB Mass Storage mode (Function 5 button).
The synthesizer will restart automatically.
I added pads to the demo. They are not included in the soundset."

Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave first impression and walkthrough
video upload by MIDERA
"A few notes: I think it's clear that the OS version on this unit is not current. I'll figure out what it is later and post it, but looking at the website it appears that it now has poly unison - something I wasn't able to use in the video. I'm also hoping it fixes whatever happened with 'Make Waves' where it crashed twice. I read up on it later and this is for recording incoming sounds to 'make waves' and was arming the input. However, I do think it should allow me to exit, so I hope other owners can chime in and say whether that's been 'fixed' (if there is indeed something off with what happened to me).
Again, please realize I basically spent zero effort looking into this before playing it. Think of this as your friend testing this out in the most likely way that you might do so yourself before using it.
Also note - that because I didn't spend any money on it (this is borrowed) it's very easy for me to be dismissive of certain features. If I pine after something for months and then get it, I usually feel like I can 'trick myself' into believing it's the most amazing thing in the world. Although - that's possibly not entirely accurate, because when I got the Prophet 10, I kind of hated it for how much I spent. I have grown to love that thing as a top 5 synth I've ever used... but when I don't put any money into it, I can see myself saying 'Well, cool, but what's the point?' And that sort of thing could give it a negative spin on something, especially when the only thing I know about it is that it's like a modern PPG.
I'm now sitting here wondering if I could have held the source and destination, LFO, and other buttons and twisted the controls to 'connect' things easier - that would be nice, but something that didn't occur to me during this first video.
No external FX used. I chose not to in this video because, well, it has FX."

Erebus Orifice from Zerosum Inertia
video upload by NOISEBUG
"A. Description:
The Erebus Orifice is a synthesizer module designed for processing audio signals.
It is also capable of generating audio which can be manipulated with Control Voltage.
The Control Voltage is made possible with the help of a VTL5C3 vactrol.
Modulation sources providing 0-10v signals are ideal, 0-5v signals will work too.
The basic design of the Erebus Orifice is a tube preamplifier with a tweaked feedback path.
B. Inputs, Outputs and Controls
There are 3 jacks available:
Enter is where audio signals are to be inserted.
Exit is where audio leaves the module.
CV is where Control Voltage signals are to be inserted.
There are 2 knobs available:
Top knob controls feedback.
Bottom knob controls gain.
The purpose of a knob is to manipulate the behavior of the audio signal being heard.
Twist the knobs and observe the results.
Choose your own adventure.
There are only 2 directions to go: left or right.
C. Power details
The tube used is a 7 pin 6CB6 sharp cutoff pentode.
The use of the tube requires the user to have a power source capable of providing
150 mA of +5 and 30 mA of + and -15 on average load.
The plate voltage is 48 volts and there is no risk of injuring the user.
D. Mounting details
The module is designed to take up 1 space in a synthesizers.com cabinet
sometimes referred to as "MU" for Moog Unit.
The Erebus Orifice is not designed to recreate or emulate such circuits.
It is an addition to the large format modular system, not a clone of any other design.
Rear depth of the module is a shallow 1.9 inches.
Power connection is provided by a 6 pin MTA connector compatible with Synthesizers.com power distribution systems and QPS1 and QPS3 supplies.
The panel is 3mm thick aluminum with machine engraved print.
Panel will not flex or bend and print will not flake off."

Can Plants Make Music? (Clatters Machines Garden Listener Demo)
video upload by Poorness Studios
"I found this really cool Eurorack module which is designed to interact with plants. The Garden Listener from Clatters Machines creates bioelectric gate, trigger, and CV (pitch) signals from any living organism. In this video, I test it out with a pothos plant.
Intro - 0:00
History & Overview - 0:17
Hooking up the Plant - 1:51
MIDI Test w/Volca - 2:33
CV Test w/Modular Synth - 3:26
Final Thoughts - 6:09
You can find out more about the Garden Listener here: https://clattersmachines.com/prodotto...
See the podcast I referenced during the video here: https://www.synthux.academy/blog/desi..."
"The Garden Listener is a random control messages generator from biometric signals. It detects conductivity variations on living beings’ surface and transforms them into MIDI notes, ranging from C-1 to C8, and CV signals (0 – 5V). Its behavior can be tamed through the one-knob menu from which you can choose and modify:
probes’ sensitivity (making it more or less sensitive to current variations);
scale (chromatic, major, minor, indian and arabic);
MIDI channel (from 1 up to 16);
LEDs’ brightness.
Conductivity variations are detected by the Probes Input and converted into MIDI notes in real time according to the Main menu settings. Each MIDI note exits through the MIDI output, allowing you to take advantage of the sound of either any synthesizer equipped with a MIDI port or any VST in your DAW, and gets converted into an analog signal.
Trigger and Gate are fired every time a new note is generated, their voltage output can be modified with the respective attenuator (0 – 5V).
All the MIDI notes are converted into variable voltages (0 – 5V) depending on their pitch and exit through the CV output (1V/oct).
The CV output behavior can be modified via the Octave Selector which acts as a “CV equalizer” from which you can choose to generate CV only if the respective MIDI note lies within a certain octave range.
For once, leave those LFOs alone, and let any living conductive being modulate your signals.
The module comes with 3.5mm white probes and a set of snap-on adhesive reusable electrode pads. A MIDI-TRS type A adapter (not included) is required for the MIDI output.
The module requires calibration for a proper 1V/oct output."

Modor DR2 OS007 Firmware Upgrade - Parameter Locks!
video upload by Modor Music
"New firmware upgrade OS007 for the Modor DR-2, introducing parameter locking. https://modormusic.com/dr2os007.html
0:00 Introduction
0:31 Parameter locks
1:05 Remove parameter locks
1:16 Tonal bassdrums, basslines
2:23 Why is there a new bootloader?
3:30 Installing firmware upgrade
5:26 Installing bootloader upgrade
6:30 Thanks for watching!"
"There is only one single new feature, but it's not an unimportant one: parameter locks! What's that?
A parameter lock sets a value for a certain parameter on a certain drum hit in the sequencer. They are used to program variations of synthesis parameters inside a drum pattern. Programming (or recording) a parameter lock is very simple: keep a step button pressed in the sequencer (1...16) and turn a knob. Now the drum hit on this sequencer step has that altered parameter, while the next drum hit returns to normal.
Note that a parameter lock doesn't necessarily have to be at the beginning of a drum hit. You can also put one on a grid step somewhere halfway a drum hit to alter the sound at that moment.
Also note that you aren't limited to one parameter. You can program parameter locks for different parameters, even on a single sequencer step.
Want to remove a parameter lock? Keep the step button down while pressing NO(/EXIT)."

DSC - DIGITAL SOUND CHIPS OPUS MAX BOARD
DSC - DIGITAL SOUND CHIPS
From the creators of the Bluebox synthesizer comes a new project for DIYers. Currently on Kickstarter here.
"A short introduction to the OPUS MAX BOARD music computer and development board for making music gear with the STM32H750 micro controller. https://digitalsoundchips.com It will come with a profession grade synthesizer and audio effects unit to loop sounds through the board externally. And with information on how to make your own music gear like synthesizers and audio effect units."
"Back in 2011 the worlds smallest synthesizer DSC Bluebox was made, but vent by unnoticed. This time Digital Soundchips that made the synthesizer is back, and want to solve the problems that they once went through for you and others.
Now we a ready to present a single-board computer for audio plugins and music gear. And with one profession grade synthesizer plugin, and a multi effects unit to loop audio through. That uses a open plugin standard with plugins on microSD card.
Imagine making professional music hardware gear, based on a super simple audio plugin format. And develop music gear that can use several plugins simultaneously.
We want to make a pre-configured scalable solution, so you can start writing your audio code and run ready-made plugins. And lower the development time for new music gear from years or month's, to weeks.
Lets make it faster and fun to develop commercially viable professional music gear.

2020/09 - Synth Programmer for Waldorf Microwave Demo
Stereoping
"Finally - the demo for the Stereoping Microwave Programmer - over 12 minutes full of short clips and subtitles - hopefully useful somehow. Up to 3:50 the sound only contains a non-related background music, the shown content did not have any valuable sound.
0:06 PREFS - Entering the Programmers PREFS mode, making changes to internal settings, automatic saving on exit
0:29 PATCH MODE - Entering PATCH mode, synchronisation of parameter data, stepping up/down through programs. Moving pots, display shows new and old value (in brackets), COMPARE and PEEK function
1:32 PARAMETER GROUPS - layout of Programmer's parameters in groups. Editing hidden parameters. WAVETABLE always available on encoder 4, solution for accessing the many WAVE ENV LEVELS/TIMES values with only 6 pots.
2:47 MODULATION MODE - how to edit the Microwave's modulation slots (normal and complex ones). Two dedicated pots for quickly setting VALUEs or ZEROing them out. Demoing the TEMP mode for direct change of modulation values through pots.
3:50 - EDITING SESSION, from here on the shown clips have sound. Starting with an INIT sound, the program is shaped into something nicer over 2 and 1/2 minute.
6:38 - RANDOMIZER - creating several sounds while changing the randomizers parameters. (Mind the volume, some aggressive sounds here)
8:12 - CHORD MEMO - playing with the 5 CHORD slots. Entering Chord SETUP to demo chord learning and STRUM.
9:30 - playing a pattern from a DAW, shaping a bass sound by Control Change messges making use of the Programmer's CC-to-SysEx translator
10:26 - MULTI MODE - finally a brief demo for the Programmer's MULTI mode. Please check the Programmer's PDF manual for details here.

MIDI Designer layout for Crumar Bit 01 w/ Tauntek Mod
via MIDI Designer
"With the great firmware update by Bob Grieb (tauntek.com) it's finally possible to control all parameters of a Crumar Bit 01 via MIDI. This MIDI Designer layout for the iPad has been tested with a Crumar Bit 01, but should in theory also work with a Bit 99 and to some degree also with a Bit One. Since I only have a Bit 01 here, I couldn't test it myself, but comparing the CC maps of the three synths they look basically compatible (Bit 99 does not have Detune / Noise though, but CC's are otherwise identical).
Note: To use this layout please ensure your device is in Lower, Edit (Address) mode. CC's are only accepted in this mode. Please also note that you will exit this mode when changing a program (e.g. via the Up/Down steppers in this layout). So, after changing a program you'll need to manually enter the Lower, Edit (Address) mode again."
You can find the template here.

#korgmonotron #korgmonotrondemo KORG Monotron - Benjamin LAZZARUS
Published on Mar 15, 2019 Benjamin LAZZARUS
"This track is only made with sounds coming from the KORG Monotron
Video: 'Chronos' - Ron Fricke"
Yes, the drums as well. via Benjamin LAZZARUS in the comments for the video:
"Yes the drum too, with a little trick for the 'noise' I used the exit breath (which is strong enough on the monotron) to accentuate the highlights, and I cut the same breath of exit to the eighth to get a charley. The clap with the very fast lfo that makes a kind of "fllleu", and the kick with the filter reso pushed to the bottom. But otherwise yes I love more and more use very basic machines see very cheap!"
Impressive.
