Büromaschinen | ROM Machine Jam | Monomachine, Machinedrum, RD6.
video upload by buromaschinen
"Just a quick and dirty jam mostly using MD-UW ROM machines with low fi sounds. I imported a batch of tiny 8bit samples from old Amiga mods I selected over the years (it's like 80 samples in way less than one meg :) ). Always wanted to use a MD as a proper hardware tracker and I had really fun with it, there's so much to explore both sonically and technically.
I may edit it in a shorter, punchier track for a future release, but I still have to make my mind if it's any good or not, so I may end up deleting this video as well :)
Monomachine is playing arps and some synth bits, RD6 the hi hats and cymbals.
Recorded in three stems (no individual outputs this time), there's just some EQ and minor volume tweaks done in console1.
Enjoy (?).

CARPE TUESDAY
Tuesday the procedural sequencer was our very first TiNRS module. Now we bring you our next Tuesday.
NextTuesday is still creating melodies based on several algorithms and your input. We extended this Tuesday with a ROOT knob, we added more algorithms and we changed the LEDs.
The orginal Tuesday came around with live performance in mind. You can be noodling line over line and always return to the melody you make with NextTuesday. You can sync NextTuesday – full on or in division – with an external clock source up to 24 PPQN or set the beat manually between 20 and 240 bpm.
PROCEDURAL SEQUENCER
NextTuesday shapes melodies based on mathematical procedures better known as algorithms. We dove into music and came up with a number of ideas of how notes could be held in sequence. We now have 14 of them and a test pattern. The knobs and inputs give you hands-on control over various parameters, the dynamics of probability and timing. You design the sound while the melody continues.
The X and Y knobs let you tweak the parameters of every algorithm, changing the dimensions of the melody and giving you a vast mathematical space to play with.
You can change these pleasant arrangements of notes. You might modulate a range of octaves or the relative distance between the occurrence of notes, you can build melody decorations or walks and riffs that keep going. And this modulation might all change again when you select a different algorithm.

Kaivo LFO 2D Overview
video upload by Madrona Labs
"Kaivo is a software instrument combining two powerful synthesis techniques (physical modeling and granular synthesis) in an easy-to-use semi-modular package. It’s laid out a bit like an acoustic instrument; the GRANULATOR module acts like the player’s touch, exciting one or more tuned objects (here, the RESONATOR module, based on physical models of resonant objects) that come together in a central resonating body (the BODY module, also physics-based).

The Vanishing Night
video upload by davidryle
"Good things happen in pairs sometimes...
Two new Synthetic Sound Labs 1201 TZ-VC Oscillators are the main project center. I sent the lower tuned sine wave (modulator) to the higher tuned (carrier) phase modulation input. I routed the modifier through a vca with a random S&H amount to give it a little life. The modulator was pitch tracked from one of a pair of Matrix Algorithmic Composer modules from SSL. The carrier was pitch stable. The wave of the carrier is a triangle wave through the Grove Audio G294A LPF. It is the final tuned percussive sound trailing at the end with the drone.
The other paired oscillators were the drone duet played by the STG Soundlabs vco's through a Q107 SVF in low pass. The pair of STG VMS sequencers are the pitch source.
The bass part is a trio of Mos-Lab 901's and an SSL 1200 vco. They are low pass filtered with the LWSS M401 Multimode Filter/Resonator. The upper Q960 step sequencer is the pitch source.
The opening synthetic pan drum sound is a Q106 saw wave and the square wave output of the second Matrix module run through the Oakley Ring Modulator and a Q150 LPF. The Q106 is pitch controlled by taking the Matrix cv through a quantizer and then a S&H to limit the cv range.
The second percussive voice was the PWM output of the modulator 1201 through a Mega Ohm Audio MA20 vcf in high pass then a EHX Grand Canyon reverb and finally stereo phase shifters from the Lexicon MX200.
Snare sound is the SSL Woven Spirits (MI Plaits) and the Kick is the Delptronics LDB-2e. Percussive timings are handled by the Moon Modular 563 Trigger Sequencer.
The drone loop arpeggio is the Dove Audio D900 Mu-Seq into a Q106 saw wave to an EHX Canyon pedal in multi-tapped delay mode."
