"vintage soviet analog delay\reverb\multi effects processor "PX-1000". It was produced on the "Estradin" factory in 1991, one of the last of its stock, while the factory suspended the productions right before the fall of the USSR (in 1991). The unit is RARE and is hard to find even in former Soviet countries. The device got amazing sound and solid construction of a rack size.
The front panel has knobs: Input,Volume, Balance, Tune, Reverb, Delay, Depth, Frequency.
Buttons: Power, Memory, 1x-4x, Bypass.

The item has cool pitch modulation function, also the "memory" button produces interesting sampler-like "stuttering" effect. The audio input\outputs are standart TRS 1\4 jacks. Also there is a 1/4 TRS "pedal" socket for connection to pedal or switch. PX-1000 signal processor produces sound that differs from well-known western processor brands. Unit sounds really fantastic - very wide and clean set of effects like delay-reverb-flanger-chorus! (check the Demo section). The mains power of the unit is 220 volts. For 110v countries I`ll include voltage converter. The unit is fully tested & is in ideal 100% working condition."

CV Tape Delay Synth by macbeth synthesizers
"This is a very short sample of what I have done with the 'tape delay synthesizer' thing that I'm working on. It was suggested that some control voltage be applied to the delay/repeats of this device. It's still to be tempered- that will happen- but I'm well liking some of the 'artifacts' that are happening here when the CV becomes too much!....control here by a Sample and Hold signal coming from an LFO!"

"We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our exceptional customers for allowing our small company to thrive while staying true to our ideals. Ten years ago Bob Moog combined modern engineering and detailed craftsmanship to realize his dream of reimagining the Minimoog. The release of the Minimoog Voyager allowed us to realize another dream: that our dedicated employees would be able to provide for their families through their work at Moog. The decade long success of the Minimoog Voyager has enabled us to continue handcrafting analog synthesizers in Asheville, NC today. To show our gratitude all registered Minimoog Voyager owners will receive a small gift for joining us on our ten year voyage. And...one very lucky Moog enthusiast will win the gift of a lifetime, the 10th Anniversary Minimoog Voyager—created with the finest materials, it stands as a testament to American craftsmanship. Thirty proud owners, one lucky winner.

Analog Slaps. West coast synthesis funk
Published on Nov 6, 2012 by Dmitri SFC
"You can tune a Serge ... But you can't tuna fish !"
For those that don't know, the West Coast reference is in regards to two approaches towards synthesis in the early days. Buchla and Serge in the West and Moog on the East. Buchla and Serge were originally explored as experimental sound generators and in many cases, extensions to tape based sound manipulation in musique concrete. Tonal music was not typically the focus. Moog in the East became more focused as a tool to be used in tonal based compositions, as a means to both duplicate existing acoustic instruments as well as experimental electronic sounds. Of course how you use each is up to you, but the origins of each was slightly different.

Tone2 RayBlaster Introduces New Form of Synthesis
Tone2 RayBlaster (IMS) preview
Published on Nov 6, 2012 by Tone2Audiosoftware
"Short intro video to show our new synthesis called IMS and the forthcoming release of Tone2 Rayblaster.
Impulse Modeling Synthesis (IMS) is a radically new and different approach to synthetic sound generation, based on the latest research in psychoacoustics.
Rayblaster creates its characterful sound from many short bursts of energy, then combined to form a more complex sound.
This innovative and unique approach to synthesis is very close to what happens within the human inner ear, sounds more authentic and gives you access to a wide range of sounds.
Rayblaster will out for Mac & PC in December 2012, more information on the Tone2 website."

ARP 2600 Semi Modular Synthesizer Grey Meanie Tonus Version
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
"if you know about the ARP 2600 you also probably know about the very rare early Tonus versions called "grey meanie" and "blue marvin".
The ARP 2600 in this auction is a "grey meanie" version from 1971.
This is one of the rarest analog synthesizers and nearly impossible to find.
After some internet research i found out that only around 15 to 30 units of this version were made and you can imagine how many of these are still around in fully working and original condition.
Maybe less than 5 to 10 worldwide ? I don't know but i think it is impossible to find another one in this condition.
The ARP 2600 in this auction is in very good original shape.
All faders are working fine and all plastic caps are on the slider shafts.
No missing screws, plastic parts etc.
All modules inside are original ARP. The filter is the legendary early 4012 version.
No modifications or repairs.
Original reverbtank (big version) is in the unit and it is sounding very very good. The best spring reverb i have heard.

The unit is very stabile in tuning, it is fully calibrated and sounds amazing.
The keyboard is the exact matching keyboard and it is duophone !!!
This was probably a special ARP custom version cause the early Tonus versions did not come with factory duophone keyboard.
The keyboard is working very good without any problems."

The audio demo starts after the 11:00 mark.
"Radioactive orchestra is a cross-boundary collaboration of nuclear physicists, a DJ and one media artist. The project wishes to inspire young people to learn about the natural sciences, but it also has an artistic aim to find new musically interesting patterns. By giving every radioactive isotop its own sound based on scientific algorithms they turn nuclear science into music, hence making a world available to us that our senses can not otherwise percieve."
