"Inspired by all the energy around the solar eclipse, I performed this ambient modular synth meditative piece + some mid song jammin' to help celebrate the totality. The total solar eclipse will pass over the U.S. on August 21, 2017.

Starts off ambient, jams a bit in the middle, then ends ambient.

All part of a live Eurorack modular synthesizer performance that I originally streamed live on my Instagram channel, but I wanted to preserve it for more than 24 hours and also present it in STEREO, so it's now here on YouTube.

The Baily's beads effect is a feature of total solar eclipses. As the moon "grazes" by the sun during a solar eclipse, the rugged lunar limb topography allows beads of sunlight to shine through some of the high moon mountains.

"It's time for some warm tube sounds from the Eastern Block. The walls were shaking in the showroom and our hairs were erected whenever we reached (yet another) sweet spot with these new pair of Erica Synth's Fusion series modules. The melodic sequence is coming from a Beatstep off camera, and modulation duties are done by XAOC Devices Batumi. We muffled the whole sound with a Make Noise - MMG and finally added some aether by the Erica Black Hole DSP module.

Using envelope generated from the breakbeat to modulate the LPG offset and extracted gate to trigger the bass sound.
