They have some really exciting plans for new products that Don's wanted to do for a long time, and now has the resources to do so."
I checked with a source and this one just might be true. No formal announcement on the Buchla site. Note this is speculation until confirmation.

Buchla wil be the Chief Technology Officer of the new company. The organizational change will bring design, manufacturing, sales and marketing resources to Buchla. The intent is that, by freeing Buchla from some of these areas, he’ll be able to spend more time to ‘introduce more innovations in music technology’, expand the Buchla product line into new areas and make his instruments available to a wider range of musicians.
Buchla also introduced a new modular synthesizer, the Buchla Skylab. The Buchla Skylab is a compact and slightly more affordable configuration of the Buchla 200e modular line.
Finally, Buchla announced that, after 50 years of not making a keyboard for his synthesizer [Buchlas aren't known for piano style keyboards, but he did have polyphonic keyboards with velocity and aftertouch in 1971 - 237/238 in 1971, touche in 1979 and the 406 in 1983 - see the Buchla 406 here.], that there will finally be a Buchla Keyboard controller. The Buchla Keyboard is currently in early stages, but don’t plan on it being a standard control keyboard. Buchla Electronic Musical Instruments expects to release a keyboard design that is as different from other keyboard controllers as its modular synthesizer is from other modulars."

Their intention with Buchla Electronic Instruments is to keep the brand as cool as it has been in the past allowing Don to do what he excels at ( creating/ designing). I have no doubt this will be a brilliant future for our beloved Buchla and Don/ Ezra etc. I have known Lewis for 12 years and believe me this guys LOVES synths/ playing synths since he was age 5."

While it is somewhat comical when you're sitting on your couch reading about it (and I laughed when I saw the Messe announcement, just like the rest of you) in real life it is as close to a work of art as a synthesizer can be in this day and age. All loops are recorded live, no tracks were pre-recorded. The DSI MoPho's delay is from Ableton. Lemur is running on an iPad 2, wirelessly controlling Ableton's effects. "The 2 lots of release envelopes on there means you can do Casio MT-65 style 'fake reverb', where the volume goes to 1/8th volume almost instantly, then the last 1/8th of the volume decays over 2 seconds.
You can also do this on the CZ envelopes.
They’ve taken a BIG leave from the CZ design. A shame the groove-synth version doesn’t have drawbars, which the Casio SK1 sampler had.

Regarding why the HP Touchpad vs. iOS, via the developer: "In December I was able to get a cheap Touchpad through the "Palm Developer Program" which offered $150 + shipping for the 32GB models. There was no requirement to release an app, but the devkit's easy to work with so a minimal DJ app took about a month to develop. The side benefit since it's all C/SDL is that I should be able port the app to android and iOS (although there are far superior offerings on iOS.. and Android has major lag issues with audio so it might not be that great until android 4.0 is more prominent)."

NAMM: ARCHANGEL: Analog Sequencer and Touchplate Controller

"Performance. Control. Expression.
These words describe the driving factors behind the design of the Archangel sequencer. When we started developing Archangel, we wanted to make something that is extremely functional yet acts as a catalyst for your creativity. The result? An analog sequencer streamlined for performance and interactivity in the modern electronic studio.
Performance
Archangel at its core is a 4-row 16-step analog sequencer with integrated 16-pad touchplate controller. The layout of the sequencer allows for instant access to every function available. Archangel can be its own timing master as well as slave to MIDI, DIN sync or an external clock pulse. The sequence length can be set from 1 to 16 stages, and step size can be adjusted from 1/32nd note to two bars. To speed composition and improvisation Archangel has an integrated multi-scale quantizer.
Control
The sequencer has five direction modes and three integrated sequential switches. There are two 2:1 switches on the top and bottom pair of rows as well as a single 4:1 switch for all 4 rows. Altering the step size and number of steps per row does not take effect until the start of the next pattern. The Archangel sequencer can free-run or operate in one-shot mode, which will stop when the pattern reaches the last step. The pattern can be restarted with the start/stop button, the external stage 1 gate, or via the touchplate keyboard.
Expression
As well as operating as a standard sequencer, Archangel can be played with the touchplate keyboard. Each sequencer stage will be activated when the corresponding key is touched. Each touchplate key is both pressure and position sensitive, giving 2D control of any parameter in your synthesizer system. Finally, there is an external CV addressing input that allows Archangel to be used as either a CV-controlled sequencer or a low-frequency step-based waveshaper."

Paul is the guitarist and main songwriter for A-ha, one of the most successful bands of the 1980s. He has written most of the band's biggest hits, including "The Sun Always Shines on T.V.", "Hunting High and Low", "Take on Me", the James Bond theme "The Living Daylights" and the ballad "Summer Moved On". Mr. Savoy is a patron of the Woodstock Music Shop.
The DRM1 MKIII is an analogue drum synthesizer.
It offers eight instruments, each with seven knobs for forming the sound plus a panorama- and a volume-controller. The user interface is absolutely clear and intutitve - one knob, one function.
The instruments on the DRM1 MKII are as following:
KICK Mainly but not only for making big and fat kick drums.
DRUM1 and DRUM2
Very flexible instruments that can generate kick- and tom sounds a s well as bongos. Anything from zapp to bling and fantastic PIUU...MULTI Three oscillators can be detuned and gives you nice cowbell-like sounds. If you like submarines you can create a nice sonar ping.

"R2M is a ribbon controller that generates control signals by moving the finger on the ribbon manual. The output signals are generated as Midi and CV/Gate control voltages simultaneously. Consequently R2M allows to control both Midi and CV/Gate based equipment (e.g. analog synthesizers or analog modular systems). R2M is the abbreviation for Ribbon to (2) MIDI.
R2M is made of two parts: the manual and the control box. For the manual the same type as the for the modular version A-198 is used. It includes a 50 cm position sensor and a pressure sensor. The control box converts the data coming from the manual (finger position and pressure) into the corresponding Midi data resp. CV/Gate voltages.
These are the most important R2M features:
