The Frontal Lobe expands the M1's sequencer as well as allowing for 3.5" disk storage of Seq./Prog./Combi. The RJ45 <> MIDI connection cable and 12VAC power adapter are not included. A nice opportunity to grab a rare M1 accessory/highly collectible."

"This was a little cheesy but fun piece I put together using two benjolins (Rob Hordijk) and a Make Noise echophone, pressure points and a wogglebug. The rungler and Pulse B out from the first benji (props to vicmod boyz for that :-) control the Pressure Points sequence clock and the Run cv. The audio output comes from the Low Pass Filter output of the second benji and into the phonogene (which is essentially being gang banged by the benji's non-filter outs) and then out my arse!"

"The Metasonix D1000 gets not enough love on youtube, so I made this video. The lovely tube drum machine plays with it's friends Grendel Drone Commander and Red Panda Particle Delay.

Only two channels of the D1000 were used here: One for the backgound drone and the other channel of the D1000 works as a filter for the Particle Delay and as a drum machine at the same time."

Modcan Dual Delay 73B

"The Dual Delay represents the next step in delay based effects from Modcan. This is not just a dual version of the 59B. We completely reworked both the hardware and firmware model to add significant features and enhancements to improve upon the popular 59B design.

The most obviously apparent change was to make it a Dual with independent controls for each channel. We also added selectable modes for delay type. Choices are Re-sampling (pitch shifting effect when altering delay time) and a "Clean" mode for standard Digital Delay effects without pitch shifting.

Low noise design using 48kHz sample rate, 32bit DSP processing and 16bit I/O.

Other features include 0Hz-21K continuously variable 4 Pole Lowpass filter in the delay feedback path for "Analog BBD/Tape Delay" emulation. The filter has full range self oscillating resonance with voltage control of resonance amount and filter cutoff.

Input signals can be routed as two mono delays or stereo or as a dual Tap delay with delays in series internally.

Each channel can be either in clean or resample modes and can also be patched in series and parallel for external feedback path.

Delay time can be set by panel control knob, CV, external sync pulse and tap tempo buttons. Also sync division is available to divide the pulse clock. Each delay has 3 ranges

Resample Delay Ranges:
Lo: 0.01s - 0.06s
Mid: 0.06s - 0.5s
Hi: 0.5s - 4s

Clean Delay Ranges:
Lo: 0.0006 - 0.02s
Mid: 0.02s - 0.91s
Hi: 0.91s - 5.46s

All the functions (except input level) that are controlled by panel knobs have matching CV inputs allowing for a wide range of flexible control modulation.

The module uses very low current requiring only 40mA for operation and will work with any power supply between 8 and 15V. Less current than many simple analogue modules.

Here is another video breaking down the creative process of a sampled based beat using Native Instruments Maschine and Vinyl records. This time we've taken a small mobile set up including a portable turntable, a laptop and an iPhone out on location to Bucaramanga Colombia We included a few screen shots of the Maschine software as I made changes on the control surface. We start off by grabbing a record Choosing a sample. We continue by loading up one of the Stock drum kits included in the Maschine library. Then we wire up the iPhone and sample a hook. Finally we put the whole thing together and sequence it using the Maschine's software and a few effect patches."

"Pamela´s Workout is a compact programmable clock source for your Eurorack modular system. The module gives you eight widely adjustable clock outputs, all correlated to a direct and voltage controlled BPM based clock. It offers clock division and clock multiplication with 32 values; voltage controlled transport functions etc. The settings can be saved in a non-volatile memory.

Pamela´s Workout has an internal, BPM based clock generator working in a range between 25 and 300 BPM. The clock speed and the transport functions (reset and start/stop) are voltage controllable. You can synchronise the module to an external clock with 24, 16, 12, 8, 4, or 1 ppq (pulses per quarter note); The more pulses, the more accurate the clock multiplying function works.

Each of the eight trigger outputs correlates to the clock and has plenty of settings:

Clock division and clock multiplication with 32 values, from /512 to *48, including triplets, Odds, Evens etc.
pulse width of the trigger, adjustable in 1/96ths steps, depending on the clock
random skip function will leave out triggers in an arbitrary manner. The higher the value, the more triggers will be skipped.
Delay and delay divisor functions for creating shuffle patterns. The dela function will delay in 1/96th steps with the clock divisor value as maximal delay. The delay divider function will delay only the other or the third trigger.
beat offset alias rotating function for triggers will offset divisors by the specified value in beats. Can be used only with divisors.

"The Roland MKS-7 is an underrated machine. It is essentially a multi-timbral rackmount Juno 106 plus the sounds from the TR-707 drum machine. It's much more than that though: all 4 parts (melody, bass, chord, rhythm) are available at once on separate audio/MIDI channels, making the MKS-7 capable of full musical compositions.
The MKS-7 Super Quartet is a multitimbral synth module with dedicated sections. The Melody section: 2 voice polyphony, 100 presets; Chord section: 4 voice polyphony, 100 presets; Bass section: monophonic, 20 presets; Rhythm section: 11 PCM sounds. The sound and architecture of the Melody, Chord and Bass sections are the same as the Juno 106synthesizer. The Rhythm section offers up the drum sounds borrowed from the TR-707.

The beauty of using this sound module is that all 4 sections are available at once. Drums, bass, leads and pads can all play independent parts and patches together making this a very nice all-in one vintage Roland tone module.
