"The first video in a new series of covers and songs created entirely on my iPad. The iPad is a tremendously powerful piece of musical equipment, and I hope to show that through these covers. This video I only used the Korg Gadget app which is a fantastic app for creating electronic music. Hope you enjoy! I also created the song entirely in one sitting, in order to capture the time lapse properly.

NOTE: I did export the tracks out individually and did some mixing after the fact in reaper to make the song sound a little bit nicer. My limiters are better than the on board one that comes with Korg Gadget."

Here's a powerful animal to add to your sequencing arsenal.

Send your CV to the CV In. As the Voltage increases the sequence steps forward. As the voltage decreases the sequence steps back.

Scale and adjust your input voltage to taste with the Onboard Attenuator and Offset.

Control the Output CV with an individual Potentiometer for each step.

When a step changes, a 10MS trigger is sent to it's corresponding switch. If the latching switch is depressed it allows the trigger to pass to the Trigger Out.

There is a switch per step for slew (portamento/slide) and a Potentiometer to control the Slew Amount.

There is also an input to allow gated control of when the slew turns on and off which will work in conjunction with the switches.

This module is looking for 0V to +5V (although all inputs are diode clamped to protect from standard synth range voltages). The Offset is 0V to +5V.

To allow for chaining of the V9a and rests, 0V will put you under the sequencer range and +5V will put you over the sequencer range. When the sequence drops below step 1 or over step 9, 0V will be sent to the CV Out and No Trigger will be sent to the Trig Out. When step 1 or 9 is activated a trigger will be sent to the Trig buss."

"It was working a few months back just fine and the lights on the board do light up as seen in the pictures. It is a stock 8 voice factory board without any midi kits added to it. I listed it as non-working because it seems to be locked up with no sound from the outputs. I would recommend having it cleaned and bench tested to see what the issue is. It has been an amazing keyboard to work with and deserves to be restored back to new condition"

You can process a signal through the unit and use the dual parametric EQs, ring mod (with either the built-in VCO or another modulation signal), overdrive (with two different modes, hard and soft) and even saturation on both the input and output stages. The VCO can be CV controlled so you could also use it with another synth (the VCO has it's own output so it can function seperate from the effects section). "I just finished the last set of modules in my patchable modular noise synth. It isn't exactly modular, since they are all in one panel, but there is no normaling or any pre-routing, it all has to be done with patch cables, note the multicolor cable spaghetti. I am also using the kick drum on a volca beats drum machine, and some distortion from a noise swash, as well as a joystick controller that sends out control voltages. I made everything except the volca beats.

The synth has two voice of saturn synths, two 555 vcos with amplitude modulation and sync, and four attack decay generators with a looping function.

patches:

lfo out from voice of saturn synth to sync in on volca beats

drone sound: voice of saturn synth with an attack decay generator modulating the frequency of its second oscillator. the AD generator is triggered by the LFO in the V.O.S., which is sometimes synched to the other V.O.S. LFO, which is the driving the drum machine.

beating thumpy sound:
two 555 VCOs, both with amplitude controlled by the joystick, one the x axis, the other the y axis. The first VCO gets frequency modulation from an AD generator that is triggered by the LFO that is clocking the volca beats, this VCO goes into the CV in on the noise swash. The second VCO has two looping AD generators modulating its frequency, and is synched to the V.O.S. synth that is not used for the drone sound. This VCO goes into the input of the noise swash."

As is expected, there is only a product made in Seaqunecial Circuits, and sound pressure, feel of a material are different from the PCM sound made in Japan of the same period clearly!
Feeling this sound, looks to be fresh for some reason
only as for me?
I think in particular that a sound of the hand crap is a sound peculiar to TOM which no other rhythm boxes do not have.

"Demotrack of the rare Hohner MR-250 soundmodule. Analog circuits with Curtis CEM 3391 chips (24 dB low-pass filter) and SSM 2024 chips (VCA). Sounds are all presets and non programmable but there are some verey nice and beefy analog bass sounds and i just love the string and lead sounds. The drumsounds are typical 80-ties. It's got Midi-in.
Mine came with the MRC-250 and with the footpedal."
