"The clap sound can also be triggered via MIDI (on any channel), and will respond to velocity information. The note that it's mapped to is the C# above middle C (note number 61).

The Clap Cussion is incredibly versatile, creating a myriad of clap sounds via 7 synthesis parameter knobs on the front panel.

In great shape and would certainly make an excellent addition to your electronic instrument collection."

FUTURESONUS ANNOUNCES PARVA POLYPHONIC ANALOG SYNTHESIZER

"Austin, TX, January 29, 2015 — Futuresonus is proud to announce Parva, a revolutionary new polyphonic analog synthesizer. Parva combines the classic warmth of an all-analog signal chain with the modern convenience of digital control in an elegantly designed tabletop package.

'I designed Parva from the ground up with the intention of producing a classics from the ‘70s and ‘80s,' said Futuresonus founder Brad Ferguson.

Each of Parva’s eight voices features three digitally-controlled analog oscillators, producing sawtooth, triangle, and PWM waveforms with extremely accurate pitch and rock-solid tuning stability. A pair of two-pole state-variable filters can be configured for a 12dB or 24dB low-pass or high-pass response, or split for bandpass or notch filtering. Four four-stage envelope generators and four multi-waveform low-frequency oscillators feed a flexible modulation matrix, allowing for virtually limitless sound design options.

Parva is the first analog synthesizer to feature a USB Master port, which enables the user to connect any class-compliant USB MIDI keyboard — or other controller — directly, without the need for a computer. Analog potentiometers provide immediate access to the most commonly used parameters, while the high visibility OLED displays on the front panel show additional settings, making it simple to dial in the perfect patch.

From the aluminum enclosure to the custom-machined aluminum knobs on sturdy panel- mounted potentiometers, Parva was designed with working musicians in mind, and built to last. Each unit will be hand-assembled in Austin, TX.

Parva is expected to ship in summer 2015. Pre-orders will begin in February, with the standard polyphonic Parva retailing for under $1000. An expandable monophonic version will also be available for under $500.

Futuresonus was founded by Brad Ferguson in Austin, TX in 2014, and is dedicated to designing high quality synthesizers and effects. For more information about Futuresonus, please email info@futureson.us or visit www.futureson.us."

"Lance Hill, mastermind of The Vintage Synthesizer Museum in Emeryville, wants to preserve the history of synthesized music, as well as the instruments which made the sounds in the 70s and 80s."

You might remember the Bay Area Vintage Synthesizer Museum was recently featured on ABC7 News. It looks like they were just featured on Fox's KTVU. It's always great to see vintage synths getting exposure on mainstream TV.

Those synths share the same engine, so actually, the patches can be programmed on both of them in the same way.

"For auction is an OBXa 8 voice model, and has been completely updated and sounds great (new keyboard bushings, power supply update, MIDI retrofit, and overhaul of the control and voice boards). The pitch bend control section (mod box) is typical with 4 screws in it.

The original owners manuals are included, along with the OBXa patch book, two patch tapes (original factory patches are currently loaded on the OBXa) from the previous owners, and AC connector.

This OBXa was owned by Patrick Cowley, who was pretty much the West Coast Moroder, such were his contributions to disco and High NRG styles.

Thanks to Greg Montalbano for his work on the OBXa. The keyboard is pretty much level, and the action is even."

SNAZZY FX TIDAL WAVE MELODY W(dreamboat/ardcore and wow &flutter ) Makenoise Rene

Published on Jan 29, 2015 snazelle

"In this video I start out using JUST the Rene sequencer into the Tidal wave ---being used as a synth voice ....( using the tidal wave 1/v oct cv in and coming out of the vca out ) which is getting an external ADSR) (Bubblesound). You can see on the scope that the sine wave then morphs into the various shapes available as I begin tiring the vc mixer of the TW towards the middle and then all the way toward wave folder . You can do some pretty crazy stuff to external Vcos this way as well with the addition of filtering ....anyway the drums are coming from the snazzy fx Ardcore ...being cv controlled by the Dreamboat and the whole tidal wave is going through the Snazzy wow and flutter module ...this is maybe the first video that im showing the pretty side of the tidal wave but it can be very pretty ...round...soft ... Etc but can then go extremely aggressive too if you flip on the feedback switch ...more later"
