"midiLFOs is a MIDI controller app that sends modulation control data to other music apps and external synthesizers. It consists of four independent LFOs that are used to send 7 bit MIDI CC messages in repeating Low Frequency Oscillating patterns. The LFOs can be the various standard shapes (sine, saw, triangle, square, sample and hold) but can also modulate each others amplitude and rate to create even more interesting shapes.
midiLFOs does not make music or sound by itself, it controls other MIDI capable synth apps and devices in your studio. You can use it to modulate the filter cutoff frequency of your favorite synth app, the pan position of the hi hats in a drum machine app, the feedback amount of a delay effect, or the pitch of an external hardware synthesizer. Or you can do all four at the same time.
midiLFOs features:
- Four independent LFOs that send 7-bit MIDI CCs
- Easily configure CoreMIDI port, channel, CC# per LFO
- Easily adjust shape, rate, offset, lag per LFO
- Modulate the rate and amount of an LFO using other LFOs
- Sync LFOs to MIDI clock
- Map trigger, LFO rate, and modulation amount values to incoming MIDI
Designed to be easy to configure and use, midiLFOs gives you a quick to configure and easy to use MIDI LFO controller toy with some nice extra features that also make it a useful pro music studio tool."
"Here's a playing demo of the REON Driftbox R Limited Analog Monosynth, showing a mix of knobs and switches. This is Roland's new analog synthesizer, officially released in July 2015 without fanfare. This synth is an updated version of the original REON DriftBox, except it has Aira green coloring."

Pic of the new Roland 500 series eurorack modules (enclave case). This one was spotted and sent in via Soviet Space Child. The difference is subtle but there. If you are wondering what the difference is, compare the sides to the originals here (you can also see them in the videos here and here) then come back. Don't read further below if you want to see if you can spot the difference yourself.
OK, if you are stumped, it's the lines on the edges of the modules. The original design in the previous posts did not have them.
Below is an image of the upcoming Roland JD-Xa flagship synth also at this year's Summer NAMM.
"Last week, someone asked about purchasing my Matrix 12. So I got it off the top tier to take photos. While I had it down, I thought I'd dig into some of its unique programming ability (EGs controlling LFO speed and such). You'll probably want to use headphones on this video - I've had some complaints about clipping in other vidz, so the audio is a little lower. I might make another video before putting it back on the rack - so much easier to program when it's down right in front of you. Enjoy!"
"Every sound on this was made using only the amazing Analogue Solutions Telemark analogue synths.
All layered a track at a time in a DAW.
Written and produced by supagswift.blogspot.ca

"Dave Smith Instruments Mopho X4
'More Analog Pads & FX'
4 Voice Analog Synthesizer
100% No Talking!!!
Just pure DSI Analog POWER!
***Watch in HD!!!***
This is the 2nd Dave Smith Instruments Mopho X4
video, this time a Nocturnal Analog Trip, with more
sounds tweaked into vintage filter sweeping pads
and special effects.
I absolutely love this powerhouse, it is just awesome!
My poor camera ran out of batteries before I finished
filming so the video footage drops out near the end.
I placed pics of the Mopho X4 to fill the blanks!
Thank you Dave Smith for your excellent gear!
YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not trying to show off my playing skills,
just showing the YouTube Universe what this
analog synthesizer can do!
Recorded live in Ableton Live 9
Oh, and YES! I did use a Korg Electribe 2
for the light show! LOL!
"This machine is built from a highly modified, Up-graded and Circuit Bent 'Alesis Microverb' FX processor.
It is capable of producing many Delay, Echo & Reverb effects, in glorious high-resolution Stereo, and now has a new range of unique new sounds, features and capabilities which are beyond the realms of conventional synthesizers.
The original FX processor has been lovingly modified, up-graded with loads of funky new circuitry, and re-housed inside the case of a vintage computer toy.
New circuitry includes a patchable Step-Sequencer, with the computer toy's red LED screen being re-purposed to display the 'Steps' :)
There is now also a built-in hand MIC, taken from an old CB Radio :)
A 'Precision Oscillator' allows the 'clock' rate to be modulated using a large knob, so that FX's can be tweaked, modulated & thrown around with reckless abandon.
This machine retains all of the Alesis original features and sounds, as well as some powerful and fascinating new features.
Lots of up-grades and modifications to transform and enhance -
+ Modulation knobs - to tweak the 'clock rate' of the FX processor.
+ Patchable Metal Bolts - Access to hidden sounds & FX. Lot's of tonal ring-mods on the top row of bolts, and extra FX / variations with the bottom row of bolts.
+ Step-Sequencer - a row of metal bolts above the computer's screen, can be patched to create custom Arpeggio & rhythm effects. The red LED lights on the screen scroll from left to right, and represent the 8 steps. The speed can be adjusted using the 'rate' knob on the right, and the Arpeggio / Rhythm effect can be turned on/off using a toggle switch.
+ Loop Sampler - This machine can be used as a Loop Sampler... Press the large blue button, and it will sample and loop the sound. Modulation knob can be used to extend the sample time to many seconds, and the sound will degrade nicely at very low settings. Press the button again, and the loop will stop.
+ Sync output - 3.5mm jack socket allows external gear to be synced to the Step-Sequencers clock (such as Monotribe, Volca, etc.)"
"Three days of innovative synth music at the Barbican
A three-day series at the Barbican marking ten years since the death of Dr Robert Moog, inventor of the classic modular synthesizer that kickstarted electronic music in the ’60s. It all starts on Wednesday night with sets by Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory and his Moog Ensemble, performing everything from Bach to Burt Bacharach, and contemporary composer Charlemagne Palestine premiering a new piece.
Thursday’s headliners are cult New York synth-punk duo Suicide with a show called ‘A Punk Mass’, featuring new material and fan favourites. Finally, on Friday, there’s a performance by one of the Moog’s most famous exponents: prog keyboard wizard Keith Emerson, teaming up with the BBC Concert Orchestra to perform his typically bombastic ‘Three Fates Project’. Book early, and make sure you know how to pronounce that name: it rhymes with ‘vogue’, not ‘fugue’."
via MATRIXSYNTH Member, Todd Barton: "I'm really stoked about the new Richard Water's waterphones being loving made by Brooks Hubbert! He has totally channeled Richard's energy, spirit and further evolved the waterphone. I will make a proper demo of just the waterphone soon, but today I played live over a looped sonic bed of Buchla Music Easel analog synth textures."

- Slightly reduced gain for increasing headroom.
- Settings saving on exit, settings loading on opening.
"I built a modular drum machine that is pretty much self-contained: sequencing, sampling, drum sounds and effects. I do use some outboard gear for processing and music engineering (biphase, tape delay, reverb, compressors, eqs and preamps)
Vedic Space Program is the name of my music project and I have just posted some tracks on Bandcamp using this set up and no other instruments used in the making of this music. It is all created and mixed live with no overdubs. There is unlimited streaming for those that are curious to hear more tracks."
"Recorded during beta testing for the Figure 2.0 update, which adds several new patches and an arpeggiator! I've found the arpeggiator to be an interesting creative tool and I'm abusing it mightily on this jam!
A paper on the Roland TR-808 cowbell at academia.edu
"ABSTRACT
We present an analysis of the cowbell voice circuit from the Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer. A digitalmodel based on this analysis accurately emulates the original. Through the use of physical and behavioralmodels of each sub-circuit, this model supports accurate emulation of circuit-bent extensions to the voice’soriginal behavior (including architecture-level alterations and component substitution). Some of this behavioris very complicated and is inconvenient or impossible to capture accurately through black box modeling orstructured sampling. The band pass filter sub-circuit is treated as a case study of how to apply Mason’sgain formula to finding the continuous-time transfer function of an analog circuit."
"So, to celebrate anode, we’re bringing out a special limited edition for summer. As you’ve no doubt noticed, it comes in a new creamy white case. But the controls have been updated, too. People liked the wavetable mode so much, we’ve made that the default, so you can dial in a wide range of sounds from the front panel. And to give you blindingly-quick access to envelopes, there’s one knob for amplitude and one knob for decay. Sound performance has also been fine-tuned, so it’s even more responsive.
We’re only making 250 of these, hand numbering them, so once they’re gone, they’re gone. (The original anode will remain available, both direct and at worldwide dealers.)"
"Excellent condition. Couple of small scratches. One display does not work (one to the very right - EG/VCA) However unit is still fully usable as the parameters for this display section can be seen on the LED function and data display when selected.
'The AX80 has the privilege of being the first pro-keyboard produced by Akai, released in 1984. It's an eight-voice programmable analog synthesizer with a full 61-note keyboard and a series of techno-looking LCD bar-graph displays running across the top of the keyboard. Two analog oscillators per voice plus a sub oscillator provide the basis of its punchy analog sounds that can be described as similar to a Chroma Polaris or Roland Juno 106.'"
via the seller: "This unit is in IMMACULATE condition. It was cleaned and serviced one year ago. All keys and knobs are in excellent condition. Physically the unit looks very close to brand new and has never left my smoke free home studio."
"Download the audio track & more music for FREE here-https://soundcloud.com/hardtek-studio...
This is my 1st attempt at making an ambient jam. Most people would say I failed, but others might enjoy this type of ambience. If you like it or don't like it say so, but tell me why you do or do not like it. The Volca Bass is being processed by the Alesis Bitrman (the red box) and then the Moog MuRF. The Monotron Duo is being processed by the Monotron Delay, while both signals are being processed by the Kaoss Pad 3. Recorded into Logic with some Eq, Compressions and a little extra Verb & Echo."
What do you all think? More or less of this? You can find previous posts featuring HardtekStudios here.
"A Demo of the Roland Juno Di Synthesizer - using only the 16 parts of the Juno Di and factory patches. Sequenced in real time via MIDI, no audio multi tracking or additional processing. This is pure 16 part raw Juno Di!"
"One of the tracks from my last live set in Osaka. Really roughly shot. No frills. This one is heavy on turing and braids with some RYTM, A4 and Octatrack."
