Moog Modular controlled by Eurorack using v-trig/s-trig converter cables

"Bought three new v-trig/s-trig converter cables from synthesizers.com. Tested with Moog Modular using my Eurorack Doepfer A-155 /154 sequencer.

Top 8 step sequencer (bass sound) - CV going to Moog 901 VCO. One trigger cable converting to s-trig to Moog 911 EG to control 902 VCA. Second converter cable sending same trigger to second 911 EG to control 904 VCF. End result - lovely Moog bass.

Bottom 8 step sequencer (high buzzy bell sound) - cv going to 901B controller/901B VCO. Trigger is sent through third new converter cable to third 911 EG to control another Moog VCA. Also using a Boss delay pedal before going into Moog mixer.

Drums and master clock signal coming from TR-808.

All sounds going through Strymon Blue Sky pedal."

"This is a powerful, Box11-based, MU format analog modular synthesizer, essentially based on the classic MiniMoog configuration. Featuring two lovely sounding voltage-controlled oscillators, an 8-channel mixer (can be used as 2 x 4) four separate WIDE range LFO's, and a gorgeous sounding transistor ladder filter (2/4 pole switchable), based on Bob Moog's 904A.

Includes a bunch of patch cables. This system is like new, studio use only. There are a couple of scuff marks on the walnut side panels. A tremendous value for this classic, flexible, analog synth configuration.

"Karen Gwyer goes live from her London studio.

Karen Gwyer’s sound is always in flux. Whether she’s making sonic leaps between records or creating mini symphonies within a 10-minute track, Gwyer makes music that evolves like a living organism.

As well as killer records for No Pain In Pop, Opal Tapes and Alien Jams over the past few years, Gwyer was responsible for one of 2016’s best techno records: Prophase Metaphase Anaphase Telophase, a three-track EP that showed her prowess at crafting colorful, acid-tinged hardware jams.

Keen to see her in action, FACT TV visited the Michigan-born artist at her studio in London for a hardware-heavy episode of Against The Clock, where she used Moog and Elektron gear to make an analog groove in under 10 minutes."

Loose Canons 2​.​0

"Loose Canons 2.0 is an epic soundtrack of imaginary video game music and sounds as composed for the Micromoog synthesizer and arranged into ten separate tableaux. For the 8-bit soul in all of us.

Loose Canons 2.0 is the culmination of years of melodic electronic synthesizer experiments by multi-instrumentalist/composer Steven Jaime Giacomelli, whose dual abstract and hook-laden sensibilities were on display in multiple bands in the Gainesville FL underground music scene in the early 2000’s. Chief among these was The Ohm, an instrumental four-piece with a varied m.o. of instant composition, epic noisepop psychfuzz and atmospheric environment enhancement.

A series of underground self-releases yielded new projects, new bands and new contexts, with Giacomelli stretching compositionally into classic American song forms, from doo-wop to metal to orchestral pop to country to surf rock to soul to baroque pop to hip-hop to americana to spoken word soundtrack to blues to ambient, all the while honing theoretical melodic approaches and atmosphere exploration that would ultimately express themselves after a chance re-discovery of the work of Californian composer Terry Riley and an embrace of a lifelong influence of the classical canon form & video game music.

Now making his home amongst analog synths in a valley of silicon, with Loose Canons 2.0 now transmitting and primed for placement, Giacomelli continues to work on his next opus.

This is an arp I made on the microKorg Xl, from the upcoming preset bank. The editor is excellent and very usefull, since I'm not willing to browse the menu from the synth's panel!
Probably, I'll end to grab the microkorg XL+!

"Owned by Richard Connelly Smith, Jazz musician New Orleans. This along with additional instruments, recording equipment and tons of vinyl records are for sale.

The keyboard has been resurfaced, balanced and leveled. Filter 3 was replaced from an older unit, all parts are Moog, salvaged from older models. Sturdy, fully lined custom case. Was restored by Jacques Greyson JJ & R Restorations
Professionally used in 2015 Jazz Festival New Orleans.
Looks and sounds fabulous. It has been well taken care of and preserved"

"Live looping with Ableton Live, recorded in one take with no pre-recorded loops or sequences.

3x Moog Mother-32 modules are triggered as a 3-voice polyphonic synth with an iConnectMIDI 4+ and Expert Sleepers Silent Way, with an NI KompleteKontrol 49. The same controller also triggers a Make Noise DPO and 0-Coast, also tracked with Silent Way. Bass is from a DSI MoPho. A Fender Rhodes is running through an MXR ZW-44 overdrive. Drums are from NI's 'Modern Drummer' for Kontakt, triggered with a KompleteKontrol 25. 2x iPads are running Lemur as an Ableton remote, and 2x Novation Launchpad "S" controllers are handling recording, playing, and stopping loops.

Lighting is controlled with an Enttec DMXIS and Max for Live, triggering 6x Chauvet Slim Par 56 fixtures and 2x American DJ Mega Bar 50 fixtures. Audio is recorded with a PreSonus 1818VSL and an Expert Sleepers ES-8, sent to a Yamaha MG12XU and the balanced inputs of a Tascam DR44. Everything runs off an early 2011 MacBook Pro."

"In this video. I demonstrate how a little (or lot) of tube warmth and compression can make a huge difference in the sound of the Akai Analog line of instruments. Synth 1 of the Timbre Wolf is routed into channel 1 of the Korg TP-2 Tube Preamp for a healthy serving of tube overdrive to bring out the hidden harmonics of the synth. Synth 2 is routed into channel 2 of the TP-2 utilizing not only the tube overdrive, but getting well smashed by the built in Optical Compressor. I also tweak the synths a bit so you have more variety in sound to experience."
