iConnectivity Introduces PlayAUDIO1U Revolutionary Audio and MIDI Interface

video upload by iConnectivity

"iConnectivity's PlayAUDIO1U is designed to support live performances at the professional level. It is a deeply-thought-out, bulletproof, fail-proof, and made-to-tour interface that provides pristine audio output as well as comprehensive MIDI connectivity to your whole stage. It’s perfect for control and playback of backing tracks, virtual instruments, or almost anything else you can think of that requires computers in a live environment."

Press Release follows:

Calgary, Alberta, September 12, 2023 – iConnectivity announced PlayAUDIO1U, a revolutionary audio and MIDI interface designed specifically for live musicians. PlayAUDIO1U builds on iConnectivity’s reputation for developing bullet-proof, fail-proof solutions for live music performance. Much like its direct predecessor PlayAUDIO12, PlayAUDIO1U integrates numerous redundancy fail-safes for control and playback of backing tracks, virtual instruments, and MIDI devices.

Imagine never having to worry about your computer playback failing, ever again. Imagine an interface where not just the big things, but even all of the little things that are important to your performance were thought of… Things like seamless failover protection of audio and MIDI, XLR outs you can just plug into without direct boxes, control ports that allow you to control all of your connected computers and other hardware, onboard power that works in any part of the world with standard IEC connection, and it all fits in a tiny 1U rack! Imagine no longer…

PlayAUDIO1U by iConnectivity is here!

PlayAUDIO1U allows every working musician access to an easy, seamless, simple & straightforward failover solution.

PlayAUDIO1U fuses iConnectivity’s vast engineering knowledge of the live arena, passion for performance, and decades of experience into one product. PlayAUDIO1U ensures working musicians never suffer the embarrassment of a silent show, ever again.

PlayAUDIO1U’s secret in part is integrating two computers connected directly to the interface, forming an incredible redundancy / failover protection system. Should your main computer fail, PlayAUDIO1U switches to the backup computer in a heartbeat; so fast that you and your audience won’t even notice. Backing tracks keep playing in time and your MIDI gear stays connected. It does this all in a package that is completely designed from the ground up made-to-tour.

PlayAUDIO1U also ships with iConnectivity’s new and improved Auracle 2.0. Auracle 2.0 is fast, flexible and intelligent, allowing performers to create a sophisticated live integration of all audio and MIDI connections, inputs and outputs; Auracle lets you do it in minutes, not hours. 'PlayAUDIO1U builds on everything we learned in creating and then supporting users of our PlayAUDIO12, an interface that quickly became the industry standard,” says Al Joelson, VP of Sales and Marketing. 'This interface is designed to be an even more ready-to-gig, comprehensive solution. It’s a crazy powerhouse of audio and MIDI capability for live performance.

Key Features:

12 Balanced panel reinforced XLR outputs
Integrated +48v phantom power protection on outputs protects your interface from accidental damage when plugging directly into consoles or stage boxes
1x 1/4” TRS stereo headphone output with dedicated control for convenient headphone monitoring
2x USB C type ports for connecting computing devices

iConnectivity Introduces mioXC - Worlds First USB C MIDI Interface

via iConnectivity

"We're proud to bring you our latest MIDI interface, the mioXC. mioXC is the world's first USB Type-C MIDI interface.

We designed mioXC around the latest connectivity standards demanded by modern musicians; all in a pocket-sized, super affordable package.

A Pocket Powerhouse
Tiny in size and price, yet big on connectivity, mioXC is a pocket-sized powerhouse!

mioXC is a fuss-free and simple 1 in 1 out, 16 channel USB-MIDI interface you can use to connect your MIDI compatible gear.

Whether you have a controller keyboard, synthesizer, drum machine or whatever; mioXC lets you connect them to your Mac, PC, iOS, or Android computing device.

What Makes mioXC Unique?

Even the most basic tasks need to be done right; it’s surprising how many of our competitors interfaces get it wrong. We engineered mioXC, from the ground up to, to be the interface we’d want to use ourselves.

Modern USB Connectivity - Equipped with both USB Type-C and USB Type-A connectivity, mioXC lets you enjoy easy connectivity with most modern computing devices.

Driver Compatibility - Interfaces that use their own drivers have to be updated all the time, or they stop working properly. Likewise some designs were USB Class-Compliant years ago, but today they aren't anymore. We engineer our drivers to today's strict guidelines, and keep them updated, to ensure compatibility for years to come.

MIDI Management - Our interfaces deliver MIDI reliably no matter what. When the MIDI data-stream gets heavy, our interfaces plough on where other interfaces choke.

Rock-Solid Electrical Design - Some MIDI interfaces introduce noise, or worse, crash your system. You’ll never get that from an iConnectivity interface.

Performance Optimized - A MIDI interface that works too slowly is useless. mioXC uses a powerful 32-bit ARM Cortex processor, ensuring dense MIDI and SysEx streams are managed with ease.

The iConnectivity Advantage: iConnectivity’s name on your interface means we took the time to do it right, whether it's our simple 1 x 1 models to our uniquely sophisticated high-end interfaces."

New mioX and mioXM MIDI Interfaces from iConnectivity

via iConnectivity

"Today's a big day for us; it's the day we launch what we humbly believe are our best MIDI interfaces to date, the mioX series.

mioXL and mioXM offer super-charged network connectivity. Now you can use the power of the network to connect piles of computers (Mac, PC, and mobile devices). Additionally, there's more USB ports for peripherals and onboard presets.

If you are in need of MIDI connectivity, these interfaces are incomparable.

mioXL is our all-new flagship MIDI interface.

Taking the form of a 1U rackmount unit, mioXL features vast DIN-MIDI, USB-MIDI, and RTP/Network-MIDI connectivity. mioXL is an ideal choice for studio installations or MIDI intensive live rigs requiring huge amounts of connectivity.

What you'll notice straight away about the mioXL is its new, high-resolution OLED display and encoder, alongside obscene amounts of physical connectivity. 8-in 12-out DIN-MIDI ports, 10xUSB-MIDI ports and also 22 virtual RTP/Network-MIDI ports.

Brand new to the mioXL is also the ability to save and recall presets directly from the front panel of the interface. Perfect for DAW-less rigs or complex live setups.

It's XL by name and XL by nature; it's impossible to pack any more MIDI connectivity inside a 1U rackmount interface. Believe us, we tried!

mioXL makes you the master of your own MIDI domain

mioXM takes the fundamental architecture of the flagship mioXL and places it within a compact, half unit space enclosure.

Like its big brother, the mioXL, mioXM has unprecedented RTP/Network-MIDI connectivity. 12 virtual network ports, per mioXM, lets you assign an RTP/Network-MIDI port(s) for each of your connected peripherals and/or computing devices, and access them from virtually anywhere.

4 user-definable presets can be saved to the mioXM and recalled from the capacitive touch panel on the front of the interface. These allow you to quickly toggle between your four favourite configurations with a single tap.

Ideal for moderate-sized MIDI setups operating without a computer or any systems that require switching between multiple configurations on-the-fly.
mioXM is an ideal choice for compact, portable MIDI applications, or multiple placements throughout a studio, stage, or venue."

Merry SYNTHMAS and Happy Holidays to All from MATRIXSYNTH!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! I hope you are all having a great holiday season. One thing we all have in common of course are our synths!

As has become tradition here on MATRIXSYNTH, I like to share a few festive pics of some gear I picked up throughout the year. This year was a bit low key, but I did manage to score a super nice Moog Sub Phatty, a much needed iConnectivity iConnectAUDIO4+, and a Division 6 VM, along with some goodies from The Bob Moog Foundation. Not pictured is a synthesizers.com modular puzzle currently waiting under the tree for my daughter. :)

As always, today should be a pretty relaxing day on the site as I spend time with my family. I will be off and on throughout the day posting holiday themed items that come in, so do check back.

I want thank all of the readers who enjoy MATRIXSYNTH and make running the site more than worthwhile! I run MATRIXSYNTH solely for my love of synths, and it is more than rewarding knowing that others out there appreciate it.

I want to send a special shout out to all of the sponsors featured above and on the right of the site for all of their support, and I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all my Patreon supporters that signed up to directly support MATRIXSYNTH. You all make running this site possible!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

cheers,
matrix

Update: added a pic of synthesizers.com puzzle, along with another surprise under the tree - a cool nanoblock keyboard! There were a few extra pieces so I added a few knobs. :)

Be sure to check out the holidays channel for more!
