Ekdahl Polygamist Modular Synthesizer

via this auction

"One of the weirdest and most unrelenting synthesizers ever made. Only around 50 or so units exist! Armed with a ribbon controller strip at the bottom - the warm analog goodness is further amplified by the input of human touch. This vicious beast is capable of churning out a vast palate of sound - from bleeps and bloops to dreamy soundscapes, from torid screeches & squawks to percussive metallic clangs, noisy walls of sound to the echoing depths of space. Your programming ability is your greatest weapon. Expect to fiddle around with the various parameters at your disposal to achieve sudden moments of clarity, only to find your temporary destination is muddled by the curiosity to keep on pressing further into uncharted territory. Have either photographic equipment/a sampler/ a pencil & paper ready because you’ll be stumbling onto new sonic discoveries with every knob turn. I will include 5 one-foot patch cables to start you off on your journey. A power adapter will be provided as well."

ARP Avatar

via this auction

Pic of the inside below.

"This is a beautiful example of of a rare synthesizer! Originally designed to be controlled from your guitar (pick up is NOT included but the connector cable is) it can also easily be controlled from CV/Gate. It is essentially an Odyssey...just BIGGER! It is monophonic. The only thing that hasn't been tested is the pitch tracking ability with a guitar since we do not have the pick up

This has been serviced and is in good working order. Some of the sliders may need to be moved up and down a couple times to reduce some slight crackling. The "high/low" switch on the back for the output volume can cut out briefly if its bumped but once its set in place it is fine."

Squarp Instruments Pyramid MK2 w/ Overlay & Original Box

via this auction

"The Pyramid is a super powerful 64 track sequencer with MIDI effects, CV I/O, piano roll layout, touchpad, and more. It is a great desktop size that is pretty compact but big enough to really perform and jam on. If you are looking for a brain for your studio to get away from a computer, the Pyramid is a super reliable and powerful option.

This unit is in excellent condition and includes the original box, quickstart overlay, and power supply."

Maestro MRK-4 Rhythm King SN 45342

via this auction

"Uncommon beatbox which features the superb and unique modulation section which allows you to groove an external signal (e.g. guitar, synth etc) using the on board rhythms. This is stunningly-effective and a great creative tool.

Modified with separate outputs for the rhythm and the modulated signal."

ROLAND JUNO-106 SN 523776 w/ Footswitch

via this auction, also on Reverb.

PEARL SYNCUSSION SY-1 SN 511724

via this auction

"Serviced and modified with:
• Separate outputs for channels one and two on a TRS (stereo) jack
• CV Mod – allows you to “play” the Syncussion via a CV in.
These are stunning and powerful drum synths: trigger via a drum pad, drum machine or output from your DAW. We love these and have two in the studio which we trigger from our 808. The low end on a Syncussion leaves the 808 seeming a tad weedy…
This one will ship once our techs have finished with it – we modify the output to TRS jack for separate outputs for each channel and also with CV ins for each channel for more musical interactivity…
It uses a 12v DC 300ma, centre negative unit power supply.
There are currently no known operational faults with this unit – some crackle may be possible when the unit has not been used for some time – this should clear with use.
In very good condition. The face has some minor oxidation spots and other signs of wear. The case has some dings and scuffs, mainly around the edges. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition."

Native Instruments Introduces New MASSIVE X Virtual Synthesizer

Introducing MASSIVE X | Native Instruments Published on Jun 27, 2019 Native Instruments

"What does the future sound like?

Rethought, rewired, and reincarnated – MASSIVE X is the successor to an iconic synth that helped spawn entire genres. Designed and built from scratch, the new instrument builds on its heritage to rethink and redefine the possibilities of a virtual synth."

First Look: Massive X From Native Instruments

Published on Jun 27, 2019 sonicstate

"We got a late Beta of Massive X, last week and have been playing around with it. The all new synth is not a replacement for the original and well loved Massive, but rather a more complex and flexible synthesizer - a sound designers dream.
We had a play through some sounds and took a look at some of the features."

"NEXT-GENERATION FLAGSHIP SYNTHESIZER

Immaculate sound and complete sonic freedom for advanced sound design
Create with a new level of dynamic, shifting sound, with truly flexible routing and extensive modulation
Based on the DNA of MASSIVE, built for a new decade and designed to evolve

MODULES

Dual wavetable oscillators form the core of MASSIVE X’s sound. Choose from over 170 wavetables and 10 different oscillator modes – each with their own sub-modes. These determine how each wavetable is read, with unique controls to shape the resulting sound, which can – of course – be modulated. Dial in two additional phase-modulation oscillators, assign them to the primary oscillators to introduce movement, or even use an external sound source to do the same.

Two noise modules – with sources ranging from synthesized sounds to rain, choirs, voices, and machines – make MASSIVE X a powerful engine for textures and left-field sound design.

FILTERS

Sculpt your sound in different ways with all-new filters – including the acid-perfect Asimov, aggressive and distorted Creak, formant and flange-style Groian, series and parallel dual filters, a comb filter, and more. Each filter type has its own sub-modes, and all controls are included in the flexible modulation framework

WORNG Electronics Soundstage // 3D stereo mixing + more in Eurorack

Published on Jun 27, 2019 DivKidVideo

"Now this is something I was genuinely very excited for when I first saw it announced. Having used and enjoyed both the LRMSMSLR and Vector Space from WORNG Electronics a new module in itself was excited, but Soundstage ... YES PLEASE, I'll have a bit of that! Morgan from WORNG talks about creating a 3D soundstage based on standard mixing techniques in terms of both stereo placement and frequency placement. It's a very powerful tool from a technical mixing point of a view and very creative one from an artistic approach. It's 21 inputs and 20 analogue filters with CV-able blend and depth control between the dry and wet (filtered "fully deep!") sound and you've also got a stereo VCA (prime target for animation, dynamics or audio rate AM synthesis!) on the output. It's all analogue so it clips pleasantly with a warm saturated clipping and with the finely tuned filters it will do nice musical feedback too. Lots of patches below, skip around and check out the other WORNG Electronics videos below too!

Vector Space - https://youtu.be/f-qB50NA-rY

TIMING INDEX / SECTIONS

00:07 patch previews

00:49 What is soundstage? Feature run down

02:16 TECHNO! Patching percussion, bass, synths + FX - creating 3D soundstages and stereo audio.

04:17 Soundstage for a single sound and FX - THIS IS THE BIT TO WATCH if you’re not sure what the Soundstage does.

06:57 Sidechain! Wonky drunk hip hop rhythms with swung drums, FX + synths and using the VCA control to side chain a 3D stereo mix. Gotta love some ModBap & Afrorack action!

08:52 Cleaning up dense mixes/sounds and creating a WALL OF SOUND. Dense drone sounds, AM synthesis + audio rate overtones + the LRMSMSLR for mid / side processing and stereo imagining.

11:39 WEIRD FILTER - using the depth control to blend dry to wet with the 20 analogue filters for phase effects and strange filtering.

14:13 Using soundstage as a stereo front end for further patching to create movement and stereo spaces.

15:46 FEEDBACK - patching feedback (two ways) for musical tuned feedback of analogue saturation of clipping.

Thank you to WORNG Electronics for sponsoring this video. By sponsoring a video they are receiving a service which is a demo video. WORNG's support made this video happen but what I've said, patched and recorded is entirely of my choosing."

Alesis A6 Andromeda 61-Key Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer

via this auction

"Alesis Andromeda A6 in excellent condition. This was completely serviced by the previous owner less than 6 months ago and it’s in pristine condition, with just a small scratch under one of the lower keys. Works perfectly and sounds amazing. Includes original hard copy manual, power cable and a brand new Alesis ASP-2 Sustain Pedal. This is an unbelievably powerful analog synth, 16 voices and 16 parts multi-timbral. There is still nothing out there that compares, not even the $8000 16 voice Moog One. It’s just proven to be far too much for my needs and far too complex for my programming skills..."

Published on Jun 27, 2019 Dziam Bass

"Hello Folks!
today I have a small movie with several modules.
basically, I was sure that this movie has gone away, but I found it in working versions so today I publish it.
That's with the Lifeforms Primary oscillator from Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers. I used the VC Octave Switch MSK 008 from North Coast Synthesis to switch between octaves up and down the Coiler MSK009 multimode filter from North Coast Synthesis.
Drums -Kick is Kickall from Befaco plus Pico Drums from Erica Synths
as trigger I used Four bricks Rook -Quad trigger sequencer generator from Shakmat Modular so some fun with the filter, octaves and drums.
So folks !!! Have a good day and have fun .. I do not know how you are but here in Europe is now a hot climate and basically like in HELL so maybe a little of this hot stuff and the hellish climate I passed in this movie.
Cheers!"
