KeyStep Pro features a great-feeling 3 octave keyboard with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch. Letting you fully articulate your musical ideas, this expressive little sequencer truly puts the power at your fingertips.

KeyStep Pro works the way you want it to, and removes the barriers between you and the music you want to create.

Powerful performance controls. Our sequencers can be seen all over the world, and are loved by top artists, studios, and amateur producers alike. KeyStep Pro makes gigging easy and fun, with instant and intuitive access to inspiring performance features. Multi-mode arpeggiator, randomness, easy chord mode, and real-time recording for creating on the fly. The crisp OLED displays and LED-illuminated controls will help you see it all in the dark, too!

Unite your gear! Your ever-growing collection of boutique modular gear, vintage synths, and software instruments can finally perform in unison, thanks to the jaw-dropping connectivity KeyStep Pro has to offer. 4 CV, Gate and Mod outputs, 8 dedicated drum Gate outputs, Clocks, MIDI in, 2 MIDI outs, a solo metronome output, sustain input to let you get expressive with your performance, and USB for easy power and DAW/softsynth control.

Control hardware, software, and your DAW at the same time. If you prefer to create music “in the box”, KeyStep Pro can also help your creativity come alive. Easily sequence and arpeggiate your virtual instruments, sync it with your software studio, and switch to the dedicated Control mode to control parameters in your favorite synths and effects. The possibilities are limitless."

62HP EP1: Tactile DAW Controller

Perfect Circuit

"We are starting a new season of small eurorack cases continuing on from our 54HP series, this time the case is slightly larger at 62HP (Intellijel Palette case). This first case is the "Tactile DAW Controller" It doesn't actually make any noise itself but it generates CVs and gates which are turned into midi messages to control a DAW with the Befaco CV Thing, this module will be available to purchase next week on July 10th but we had an early version for this video. There are two unique sequencers in the case, the Make Noise Rene and the Noise Engineering Zularic Repetitor, these can add some new sequencing options to your DAW. The Planar and FSRs add some hands on tactile and pressure sensitive controls to your software.

Ratcheteer - Semi-Automatic MIDI Pattern Generator

"The Ratcheteer is a semi-automatic MIDI pattern generator for performing instead of programming notes.

The RATCHETEER is designed to generate hi-hat - or any MIDI note - patterns easily, saving you the time consuming task of making repetitive MIDI edits! It works in sync with Ableton Live's transport with options for numerous time divisions and the ability to be performed using external MIDI controllers. Hurrah!

Assign a MIDI Note to ratchet, set the velocity and choose from 5 types of time division to hear the note re-triggered from a steady pace to rapid fire mayhem. Select from all time divisions combined, triplets, whole notes, dotted notes and free (unclocked).

Turn the knob to make the ratchet faster or slower and set it to 0 to stop all notes. The device will output your MIDI notes which can be recorded as clips and stored in your track.

Use the MIDI Map function to change the ratchet using MIDI controller movements, from knobs, faders, mod wheels or pitchbend. You can also automate it in the track, but why the heck would you do that?!

Send ratcheted MIDI notes to VSTs, Drum Racks or external MIDI Hardware using Ableton's extensive MIDI routings. Say goodbye to meticulous MIDI finessing and start performing hi-octane hi-hat patterns!

This is Version 1.0 and I am going to implement speed changes from MIDI notes, as requested by some users.

Please Note: Ableton Live 10 Suite is required to run this device.

I cannot offer refunds on software downloads, so please ask any questions you have before buying."

Yamaha CX5M Music Computer SFG-05 FM Sound Synthesizer II - MIDI Upgrade

via this auction

"Rare refurbished and fully tested SFG-05 FM Sound Synthesizer Unit II (upgraded from SFG-01 unit) for Yamaha CX5M MSX Music Computer in mint working and cosmetic condition.

This upgrade allows a CX5M Music Computer to be controlled wwith any MIDI-compatible keyboard or other controller. The unit is 4-part multi-timbral, using an updated SFG-05 software interface to control the onboard 4-operator FM Synthesizer (build on the same architecture as the Yamaha FB-01 or DX11).

Disclaimer: The unit is a fully tested refurbished unit. I installed an AMD 27C256 Eprom with the new SFG-05 firmware, performed all additional upgrade modifcations, and added an IC socket for the firmware chip, so it can be easily replaced without soldering. I also created a label for the case, based on the original Yamaha label design for the SFG-05.

The photos of the board show the differences between the standard SFG-01 board (for comparison, not included in purchase) and the SFG-05 board (photo the actual board inside the cartridge you are buying).

The SFG-05 comes in the original SFG-05 packaging, incl. a copy of the Yamaha SFG-05 hardware/software manual."

Arturia Origin Desktop Virtual Analog Synthesizer SN 09226000610

via this auction

"I purchased this Item on Reverb within the last year or so. At the time of purchase, the seller said that this was Daniel Fisher's personal synth, and it was shipped out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Mr. Fisher has been the synthesis guru at Sweetwater for decades. I later spoke to a friend who works there, and he commented that Mr. Fisher worked extensively with this Origin Desktop, and a great deal of very deep custom programing is likely inside.

Usually, I upgrade the firmware when I make a synthesis purchase. For this item, when I went to check the firmware version, it was already the latest release.

I have also made very few saved changes to any programs. I unfortunately only had time to label a ridiculously awesome Multi setup 020 Four Arpeggios as a favorite. Therefore, whatever deep extensive programming the item arrived to me with remains nearly entirely intact."

MCO - Compact Digital VCO - ALM021

"The MCO is a compact but powerful digital oscillator. It features a wavetable output with 9 morphing waves, a pulse output that allows for 4 types of PWM applied to any of those waves, and an octave down square wave output. There are v/oct and sync inputs plus CV over wave selection, PWM and PWM type. In this video we take a practical look at many ways to patch, modulate, and layer the MCO to create a wide variety of tones.

Eowave Quandrantid Swarm - review and demo

"In which I show the possibilities and quirks of the Quandrantid Swarm Synthesizer I was send by Eowave to review in exchange for their Metalik resonator speaker (hence 'paid promotion'). This synth offers a wealth of sound and inspiration in a compact package and has found a place in my heart and rack, in spite of a few things that I, as a member of the club of very big knobs and 50 pound oscillators, have trouble tolerating. Stil, I am happy that I can now finally answer your question "which synth should I buy first" with 'the unpronounceable Swarm thing from France'. "

Moog Semi-Modular Synthesizers: Interconnectivity III

Friday FUN Yamaha MODX Jam with Smart Morph

"We still have the MODX here and after the last session, people were asking about the MODX OS 2.5 Smart Morph feature so I tried to jam something which sort of incorporated that. Only using the MODX sequencer and internal sounds/fx this time, s sort of more stadium 80s jam (yeah sorry, thats just where it went!)"
