Track&Teach: Octatrack 1Part Resampling & Remixing Electribe MX (Superbooth21 Liveset)

video upload by MrDataline

"Track&Teach download at: https://dataline.bandcamp.com/album/t...
Includes the Octatrack project file used in this liveset & tutorial video covering how the Octatrack is configured to achieve seamless live sampling and remixing with the ElectribeMX using only 1 Part & 1 Pattern workflow.

The tutorial video goes over audio routing, how the tracks are set for THRU machines & record buffers and mixing back the inputs after sampling for smooth transitions.

This 11 minute Track&Teach video focuses on Octatrack sampling 2 different sources in realtime, remixing them while adding other layers from the inputs again - only using 1 part & 1 pattern workflow.

Special thanks to the Adam Audio crew for the video!

Enjoy!"

Subharmonicon / Grandmother / Hydrasynth / System 8 / Nord A1 / Prophet 08 "Midnight Rapsody"

video upload by Denis Polic

"It´s like last few tracks i have done lately, it starts and ends with amazing Moog Subharmonicon, it was really the missing part in my puzzle to step higher in inspirational process. Some people say Subharmonicon is limited, and i totally disagree with them, its a endless source of harmonics, wich i has not even expected to be possible, and enjoy every single minute i spend with it, thanks a lot Moog!!!!

Hope it would be a nice listen for you, ´cos it was a great fun to make it, cheers and peace on Earth!!!"

Voltage Modular VM900 Quick Demo by boxoftextures

video upload by boxoftextures

"Saw a tweet from Cherry Audio about the newly released set of VM900 modules about two hours ago, instantly purchased them, and then made this video as a quick demo. Nothing fancy, single oscillator, no LFOs, minimal envelope count, but it still sounds fantastic. For me it was a no-brainer instabuy. Will certainly make some more in-depth videos of the VM900s, just wanted to get this out there."

This one was sent in via Audio Illustrator from New Man Studios.

He purchased it new. The Blue Marvin logo is on the back. Curious how that happens. Parts mix up or did they run out of the standard and just grabbed a Blue Marvin?

New Evaton Technologies AModulator - Time Lapse Build

video upload by fiN Studios

You can find build pics and a full write-up at https://finstudios.com/evaton-technologies-amodulator-diy-build/.

And the AModulator kit on Evaton's website here: https://www.evatontechnologies.com/amodulator.

Video description:

"The Evaton Technologies AModulator SDIY kit is a companion module to the RF Nomad voltage-controlled shortwave receiver. Available ONLY in DIY form, the AModulator is a crude RF amplitude modulator that produces a micro power radio-frequency signal which the RF Nomad can decode.

Simply put, the AModulator allows you to encode any audio signal into an amplitude modulated RF signal, which the RF Nomad can then decode back to audio, with all the delicious artifacts of vintage shortwave sound. Because the RF Nomad is a single sideband decoder, the decoded audio can also be frequency-shifted, simply by tuning slightly off-frequency.

Check out our latest time lapse build video and if you would like to learn more about the Evaton AModulator module, head on over to https://finstudios.com for more details.

"The AModulator ships as two printed circuit boards: One is the electronics, and the other serves as both the faceplate and touchplate emitter. You can "play" the AModulator by pressing on the touch area to affect the signal."

Hydrasynth: Is complexity BAD for your music?

video upload by Alex Ball

"I finally managed to get my hands on an ASM Hydrasynth for a video and after looking at all the features and functions I decided to explore whether any of the complexity was beneficial to music making when after all, some of the most enduring and popular synthesizers of all time have been very simple.

Two DB-01s: Jam and patch breakdown

video upload by Richard DeHove

"A little noodle with two Erica Synths DB-01 Basslines. One doing a rubbery sustained bass, the other a more randomized overdriven lead. Both are just 16-step patterns but manage a high degree of variation.
After a short play I go through the fundamental elements of each sound to show how it's made. Hopefully it may serve to give you a new idea or two.
There's a Fabfilter Pro-L2 limiter on the master output just to catch any unexpected horrors, but otherwise the only effects you hear are what you see.

Gotharman's Urano + Waldorf Eurorack Modular Synth Jam // The Tip Of The Iceberg #TTNM

video upload by THE TUESDAY NIGHT MACHINES

"Here's a first simple tryout jam with the new Gotharman Urano modular synth, sequencing and modulating the Waldorf nw1 and vcf1 Euroack modules for some additional wavetable and analog filter fun. Percussion is sample based and the pings are S&H random generators sent into all four of the Urano's analog filters. A simple dual sawtooth melody from the Urano's internal digital oscillators also make an appearance, as well as some other pling-plong voices :D Everything's sequenced and mixed into a stereo signal inside the Urano.

Playful: Buchla 208c Easel Command live west coast avant-garde synthesizer electronic music

video upload by EthanJamesMusic

"I am using the Buchla 208c music Easel Command along with the Make Noise 0-ctrl as a stand in for the 218 touch controller and wanted to continue exploring using a simple patch to create a large musical idea. This piece of music is called "Playful" and is for my son, who just turned 2. He has some medical issues, and we are so grateful that he is still with us. I didn't rehearse this beforehand and was just following the sound. I am still exploring using the pulsar into low pass gate 2 with the inverted envelope into low pass gate 1 to create different rhythms and have added pressure voltage to the complex oscillator modulation which is generating some nice harmonic side bands. I'm also using the envelope generator into the wave shaper, which is creating rhythms against itself with timbre. I am using the west coast technique of starting with something and spinning it out like a centrifuge. I'm processing the sound through a few eurorack modules that I will detail below. Hopefully this camera angle also helps you learn something!"

VAI 20 : Elka Wilgamat / Farfisa Syntorchestra 4

video upload by Vintage Audio Institute Italia

"A quick video we threw together some time ago, the Elka Wilgamat is a Drum machine, bass and chord generator from 1976 or so, originally part of the Elka X705 organ. We got this machine modded with separate outputs, sending the bass to the Maestro Sound System for woodwinds, a great 1960s filter/octave/fuzz effect, that stopped working during the making of this video.
The Syntorchestra 4 is of course the younger sibling of the Syntorchestra - a rather simple mono synth and divide down string / brass keyboard - it shares the controls of the older one, but sounds less characteristic.
We still really like it tho, the presets are great with some external boost."

🎸 In this instrumental series I'm playing some classics of Rock/Pop music history from the 60s and 70s, using my Vermona Perfourmer Mk2 Synthesizer and in this case also my Nord Drum 3P together with Ableton Live. I created a session in Ableton with Clips, but ended up creating a structure that was fixed, so I can play live the whole track on the Nord Drum. I automated some reverb and delay for adding movement, and afterwards mixed the song with some saturation, compression and EQ."
