Press release follows:

Noise Engineering announces Granulita Versio, a granular chord resynthesizer and shimmering reverb.

Contact: kris@noiseengineering.us

Los Angeles, CA — Noise Engineering, known for their innovative platform modules, has released Granulita Versio, a granular chord resynthesizer and shimmering reverb.

Granulita Versio offers a simple solution to a complex modular problem. Chords, while beautiful, are difficult and resource-heavy to patch in a Eurorack system. Granulita solves this by generating harmonies for any input signal using a unique granular process. The Chord and Voice parameters allow the user to choose a chord and the note that follows the input signal.

The unquantized Pitch parameter adds an extra layer of harmonic options via transposition, detuning or vibrato.

For fans of granular processing, the Count and Length parameters will be familiar, Granulita can generate any number of grains from zero to 32, and grains can be 16 milliseconds to four seconds long. A modal trigger input and manual button add to the granular fun: freeze grains, sync their playback to an external clock or tap tempo, or use a trigger sequence to manually fire off grain playback.

No granular module would be complete without some atmospheric effects, so Granulita also adds the simple Verb parameter to add in some space. Below noon, small echoes put a patch in a realistic space – but turn up the parameter to add in shimmering octave overtones and feedback into infinity.

Part of the flexible Versio platform, Granulita will be available as an alternate firmware for all Versio owners, completely free, at the Noise Engineering firmware app. However, Granulita breaks the mold with a limited-edition hardware release: only 100 Granulita Versios with exclusive art will be produced, the perfect purchase for collectors or, perhaps, as a holiday gift for the granular enthusiast in your life.

Granulita Versio’s limited run starts December 11th at https://noiseengineering.us and at retailers globally.

Features
● Turn a monophonic signal into a full chord with ease
● Easily create gentle or ominous timbres from any input
● Modulate between 16 resynthesized chord shapes using the CV-controllable Chord and Voice parameters
● Use Count and Length to change the number and size of grains
● Add subtle atmosphere or shimmering, infinite reverb with the Verb parameter
● Create massive soundscapes or use external triggers to fire or freeze grains
● Play grains forwards, backwards, or in random directions

A path in the dark | Sequential Prophet VS and Rhodes Piano ambient soundscape

video upload by MIDERA

"Two years ago I was playing with my kids with a little yamaha piano, the christmas tree lit, we were looking forward to a relaxing and fun holiday... but that's when my mom called me and asked, "Did you mean what you said? Would you really be willing to come down to be with me?" She was so scared. I dropped everything and drove down (about 1.5 hr drive) to be with her. I'll never forget the look on her face - panic, fear, anguish... I don't know how to describe the look, but it was painful to see. I gave her a big hug as she cried. Looking back, I think she knew it was time, I think she knew her body was failing and was failing fast. I was determined to stay positive, but I watched her move. The exhaustion after only a few steps. I'm glad I didn't realize that it would be only 4 more days before I would lose her forever......."

California's Shortest State Highway! State Route 153 (Gold Country)

video upload by CatSynth TV

"We take a quick ride along 'California's shortest state highway', State Route 153. It runs a half mile in total from a junction with CA 49 in Coloma, California to Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park. The park commemorates the discovery of gold by James W. Marshall at Sutter's Mill in 1848, which sparked the California Gold Rush, and features a large monument and statue of Marshall.

Although CA 153 is labeled as the 'shortest', there are a few routes that are de facto shorter, such as CA 77 in Oakland and CA 275 in Sacramento.

The accompanying music features the following instruments:
iOptigan, with 'Bluegrass Banjo' sound set
Cherry Audio Mercury 8
Arturia Piano V and Stage 73 V
EastWest Fab Four and Stormdrum 2
BFD Drums v3"

Additional Tone Tweakers Listings

"This EML-101 was meticulously refurbished and is better than others you may find. This process required 36 hours of highly skilled vintage synth labor, plus parts costs. This unit includes the factory installed pitch bend wheel, which is rare.

Here's a summary of some of the work we did to this instrument that should make it significantly more valuable than others on the market:

We replaced the original handle - those familiar with 101s know the handles often fall apart - we've learned not to carry them by the handle / always carry them with both hands! At the time of writing this description, we see a unit listed as serviced with duct tape holding its handle together. This unit was fully disassembled and cleaned inside and out. Replaced jack washers and nuts. Rebuilt power supply for longevity (replaced electrolytic capacitors and 2 regulators). Replaced metal latches. Replaced electrolytic caps. Cleaned jacks. Removed and cleaned all keys. Removed and replaced rubber keyboard bushings. Cleaned and lubed key contacts and bus bar. Recalibrated CV VCO 1, 2, 3, 4, VCF. Replaced trimpots exp circuit. Replaced all pots that weren't perfect, so this unit works crackle-free and feels like playing a brand new instrument."

Everything Oscillates: A closer look at the Serge Random Source Helios & Paris Flash

video upload by Bleeps and Boops

"Following up on Part 1 - • From DIY to Cult Legend: The Serge Synthes... [posted here] - here's a closer look at two of the R*S Serge 50th Anniversary Paperface panels. If you've not seen the first part yet, please do since it gives a decent background on where these came from. Any corrections or questions, please comment below: I've tried my best but there's always going to be an omission or mistake.

All the background music was made on the Serge - if I get the chance I'll upload it somewhere. It's genuinely the most productive six weeks I've ever had with one synth.

These new versions are a re-work in collaboration with Serge himself, to update and improve his original Paperface circuits. As such the oscillators track nicely over the full range, everything is stable, and overall it's better suited to life in a modern studio.

As before, an enormous thanks to ‪@serge-modular‬ for the loan of this beast.

Time to start saving I think...

As ever, thanks for watching!"

Ear Modular Introduces 暮秋 The End of Fall

video uploads by Ear Modular

"The End Of Fall is a feedback-filled effects unit in a 40hp Eurorack format.

By adding two expansion boards and replacing the front panel, it can be reconfigured as a standalone device.

The core of The End Of Fall consists of two ladder filters and two echo effects. The signal chain routes Filter A to Echo 1 and Filter B to Echo 2, with their outputs mixed together for the final output. Each filter features a CV control input for cutoff frequency, while each echo has a CV control input for delay time.

At first glance, this may seem like a basic setup, but The End Of Fall offers much more. It is filled with various feedback pathways:

1. Internal feedback within each filter, from output back to input, creates a resonator capable of self-oscillation.

2. The internal feedback within each echo is essential for creating the echo effect; excessive feedback results in endlessly decaying echoes.

3. The output of Filter A is fed back into the input of Filter B, and vice versa. This design was inspired by experiments during the creation of Solar Card Type VII, where it produced unexpectedly complex and intriguing sounds on the card. This concept has been adapted for The End Of Fall.

4. The output of Echo 1 is fed back into the inputs of both Filter A and Filter B, and similarly, the output of Echo 2 is fed back into the inputs of both filters. These two global feedback loops transform The End Of Fall into a circular structure without a clear front or back end, allowing sounds to intertwine within this loop.

Additional design features:

1. Each filter and each echo has its own dedicated input. When feedback is not utilized, the feedback pathways serve as internal bridges, enabling various signal routing configurations such as echo to filter, filter to echo, echo to echo (for multi-tap delays), or filter to filter (for multi-stage filtering). With expansions, outputs can be taken from the end of any effect, allowing the unit to be used as a stereo effects processor.

2. The End Of Fall includes a noise source with two functions: it supplies audio to the inputs of both filters, and it serves as an oscillation source for generating internal CV signals.

The unit features four internal CV sources, each assigned to one of the four effects. When no external CV is present, these internal CVs provide randomly varying control voltages. If an external CV is connected, the corresponding internal CV is disconnected. These four internal CV signals are generated by sample-and-hold circuits sampling the noise source. Four knobs in the upper-right corner independently control the sample intervals of these circuits, introducing chaotic and unpredictable modulation. A CLK input can interfere with these four sample-and-hold circuits, partially synchronizing them while maintaining an underlying chaos.

There is a slight background noise from The End Of Fall when there is no output, but it does not affect normal use."

Error Instruments Introduces Das Ritual Candle Flame Synth Noise Generator

video upload by errorinstruments paul tas

"✨ The Ritual — Let the Flame Speak ✨ The Ritual is not just an instrument. It is a presence — a small, mysterious machine that invites sound, light, and spirit to merge into one living moment. At its core, The Ritual offers two elemental voices: a warm, crackling texture like burning wood, and a deep, sub-harmonic bass that vibrates through the body. Two outputs, two energies, both ready to shape the atmosphere of your space. But the true magic lies in the heart of the machine. In the center burns a candle. Three light-sensitive sensors observe the living flame — every flicker, every breath of air, every tiny movement of light. The flame becomes the conductor, shaping rhythm, modulation, and tone. It decides the pulse. It guides the sound. It becomes an oracle of vibration. With control voltage input, three intuitive potentiometers, and full compatibility with stand-alone setups, pedal chains, and Eurorack systems, The Ritual integrates effortlessly into any sonic temple you create. Add a touch of delay, let the harmonics bloom, and suddenly the sound becomes something else — psychedelic, hypnotic, deeply alive. A soundscape where chaos becomes beauty, and the smallest movement of fire transforms the entire universe of tone. Hand-crafted by Error Instruments, built in rugged Bricky format, The Ritual invites you to surrender your control and let the flame speak. Light the candle. Start The Ritual. Let the fire shape your sound"

Absynth 6 by Native Instruments - No talking demo

video upload by ADL-MusicLab

"Hi, everyone!

Here's to you my 'No talking demo' of the stunning Absynth 6 by Native Instruments.

Absynth 6 marks the return of a legendary semi-modular synthesizer. Built for textures that transform and breathe, it invites you to shape sounds that are entirely your own. Deep enough for complex sound design, and intuitive enough for newcomers, it opens up distinctive, living sounds for cinematic cues, ambient soundscapes, and electronic productions.

Absynth has a long, storied history of surreal sound. The strange textures and dreamlike tones return with Absynth 6, the latest in this prestigious line of semi-modular synths.

This version keeps the heart of the hybrid engine you know. It combines subtractive, FM, wavetable, and granular synthesis into one flow that makes unusual sounds feel natural to create. Elastic OSC 'LFO' Update 1.2

video upload by Elastic Instruments (Oliver Greschke)

"Update 1.2 brings the long-awaited LFO support to Elastic OSC.
LFO 1 is free - additional 3 LFOs can be unlocked via In-App Purchase.

Each LFO offers:
• Frequency (0.02 – 20,000 Hz, or tempo-synced)
• Shape (Sine, Triangle, Ramp Up, Ramp Down, Pulse, Sample & Hold)
• Fade: Fade-in time after being triggered
• Phase: Define the start phase
• Sync: Run the LFO in sync with project tempo
• Trigger Modes:
• Retrigger – restarts with each new note
• One Shot – plays a single cycle when triggered
• Free – runs freely without retriggering
• Enable: Quickly compare modulation by toggling the LFO on/off

Zebra 3 Modulation Graph WIP

video upload by Urs Heckmann

"Here's a visualisation of Zebra 3 modulation graph. (This is not gonna be in the final UI, certainly not like it is now...)

So there are 24 modules (4 LFOs, 4 envs, 4 MSEGs...) which have parameters that themselves are subject to modulations. These modulations can be directly assigned modulators, e.g. triggers in the envelope, or assignments via the Mod Matrix.

Now the problem: Whatever gets modulated by something else needs to be processed after. So first the source, then the target. Cool. But sometimes modules can modulate each other, or create circular structures. Circular routings create latency, and that needs to be minimised.

In order to solve that issue we implemented and modified classic dependency graphs so that circular sections have a minimum of circularity. What you see in this video is a visualisation of such a minimised circular structure with as minimal latency as possible."
