"This original Jupiter-6 was sold in the April auction, but the buyer got into financial difficulties and here it is, back at VEMIA for a second bite of the cherry. (It actually never left the building.) It's a great sounding synth and iconic, too, as the joint first synth to feature MIDI.
As an added bonus, this example, serial number 260387, comes from Orbital with signed provenance. The one break with tradition is that the end cheeks have been replaced with wooden ones. Very good overall condition for something of this age. One of the little illuminated switches (for the LPF) is partly broken but still works fine. UK/Euro voltage - you'll just need an IEC lead for your country. Packing 18GBP."

"I wanted to try one of these Yamaha MU2000 boxes for years, but they were surprisingly expensive and available from Japan only. But with some backing from YouTube and my channel members, here's a detailed video on the MU2000, some sound examples and a short demo track created in MIDI only, which is no problem when 128 voices are the limit. Immersive Ambient Generator Ambient Ø (zero) is incredibly easy to use. Start by playing a tone from one layer using the note hold function. While listening closely, simply tweak the knobs to modify the tone and add other layers to shape a pleasing sound.
Blendwave Modulation Synthesis We conducted extensive research into creating undulating and fluctuating tones for Ambient Ø, resulting in the development of a new wavetable-based synthesis. Blendwave Modulation Synthesis combines 6 unique structures with 32 WAVEs featuring complex harmonic transitions, making it easy to create powerful low drones, lush pads, and transparent pizzicatos, perfect for ambient music.
4 knobs / 8 parameters offer a wide range of tone creation.
A WAVE contains 128 harmonic tables, allowing for diverse tonal changes such as moving from basic waveforms to complex harmonics. The WAVE is represented by a yin-yang icon, with the yin representing moves in the reverse direction through the tables during modulation.
6 Structures Each structure has a different number of oscillators and modulation circuits. ATMOS 1 applies ring modulation, while ATMOS 2 applies FM modulation.
Noise and Space The Noise layer includes 8 specially selected nature sounds, offering noise blending, pitch adjustment and modulation to infuse unique spatial characteristics. Additionally, it allows for up to 8 seconds of stereo sampling from the line input, letting you create personalized textures.
Extensive Effects Section Ambient Ø is equipped with 9 types of lush reverb, each offering unique spatial dimensions and brightness settings. You can individually adjust the reverb send and shimmer send (for layering octaves) for each layer.
In addition to the reverb, the Ambient Ø offers an effect unit with Tape Delay, Reverse Delay, and 4 master effects; Overdrive, Bit/Rate Crush, Tilt EQ, and Stereo Chorus.
Sequencer on Each Layer You can not only layer the four tones, but each layer also includes a sequencer that allows you to record keyboard performances. Furthermore, you can record changes in numerous parameters, including level, pan, and filter movement over time.
16 Ambient Sound Pattern Palettes, crafted by expert sound designers No need to start from scratch. Choose a palette that fits your mood, start playing tones, tweak the knobs, and layer them following your heart. Thus, your inner thoughts and emotions will be crafted into sound.

This is an old school analogue resampling technique you can use on the Lofi-12 to add external effects to your audio. Resampling can also be done digitally if you'd like to just record internal samples without adding effects by changing the source selection to one of the tracks or the master output from the Sampling menu. You can also adapt the method in the video and leave the monitoring switched off if you don't need to hear the results in real-time"

Fully Recreate the Legendary Sound of the World's First 16-bit Video Game Console from the Late '80s
You too must have fallen under the spell of the extraordinary visuals and sounds of the groundbreaking 16-bit video game console that once dominated the world! It was powered by the iconic YM2612 sound chip, a legacy that endures even today.
The MEGA SYNTHESIS has resurrected the sound engine of this chip. We've faithfully recreated the 4-operator & 8-algorithm FM sound module, the 8-bit PCM sound module, and the "SN76489" PSG (Programmable Sound Generator) sound module used by the original console.

Walking The Dulzaina - Luminous Trilogy - Part 1
Walking The Dulzaina is an edited one-shot music film which details the manic walkthrough time-lapse of an imaginary synthesised dulzaina (Spanish folkloric instrument) being taken for a walk through the "Las Vegas" like dressed streets of a small village festive celebration set somewhere in the near future.
The visuals are nods to the Bladerunner, Lynch, Weirdcore and Kubrick where the glow of transparent neon CRTs, display technical diagrams with a music technology theme. Some suddenly slide up from the ground, while others cross from one side of the street to another.
The music is inspired by minimalism, industrial techno synth-folk where Steve Reich and Techno meet Raymond Scott and 1960's BBC radiophonic.
Musical Equipment Detail:
Intro: Moog Subharmonicon through Fairfield Randy's Revenge ring modular - into two crunchy Elby Systems stereo valve preamps and out into a stereo pair of Doepfer A-199 spring tanks).
Dulzainas: Buchla Easel Command sometimes untreated and sometimes solo through a J.H. 'Son of a Storm Tide' stereo analogue studio flanger (built by Van Daal Electronics (second dulzainas and very low transition whoooses).
Buchla and Subharmonicon sync locked and clock divided by Ornaments and Crime clock divider.
Final wormhole sequence: Subharmonicon through stereo A-199 Doepfer spring reverbs and Paulstretched.

The Jupiter-6 is an incredible analog synth. All of the Jupiters have a sound that was unlike any other synthesizer and the Jup 6 is no exception. This sound is due in part to classic analog Roland technology in its filters, modulation capabilities and a thick cluster of 12 analog oscillators at 2 per voice. Easy and intuitive programming via front panel sliders, knobs and buttons for all your tweaking needs.
Europa firmware upgrade for the Jupiter-6 which gives it an up-to-date and comprehensive MIDI implementation. All parameters are controllable via Continuous Controller or SysEx. I recently completed some new patches as part of the work I'm doing on the Sonicware ELZ_1 play so I thought it would be nice to demo them here as I've been asked quite a lot about it since it was first announced.
This is still prototype hardware though don't expect any radical changes at this point just refinements. Also this is unfinished firmware too so I'm not sure how many features will be added before release compared to what's shown here, but there are some nice additions like the unison setting that make playing around with the old synth engines fun too. The Super Osc is a one of the new engines so you'll see that throughout the video."

The audio is DIRECT, 100% DRY, & IN STEREO - You are hearing the raw audio as it comes directly from the synthesizer. NO post processing (Effects, EQ, or Dynamics) whatsoever.
The Roland Jupiter-4 is a very strong, agressive, massive, but also sweet sounding synth. The sound is really incredible for only one VCO with one Sub-VCO. In this this Demo you will listen to this wide range of sounds.
The Roland JP-4 came out 1978, mine is from Nov. 1979 with the later filter board.
The great features of the JP-4 are: - extremely fast envelopes - ultra fast LFO and also slow LFO to get FM sounds and very slow filter sweeps as well - fantastic sounding filter with ultra fat and sweet self resonance - stereo chorus, not so strong like in the Juno 6/60, but very musical - nice arpeggiator with triggering by a sequencer or drum machine - random S/H filter modulation - fantastic versatile bender board - you can trim the 4 voices and slightly detune them on the back of the unit to achieve a really fat sound - polyphonic portamento
