Cuckoo Introduces the SVENSSON 49 Looping Keyboard by AUXY
I gave the new SVENSSON 49 keyboard my sound signature! Dream collab with AUXY!
video upload by True Cuckoo
"Everything about the new SVENSSON 49 keyboard by AUXY, in this friendly Tutorial."
"Svensson 49 is a digital keyboard with expressive sounds, a playful looper, and a personality of its own.

No menus to dive through. No manual to read before you start. Just play, loop, and explore your musical ideas.
Svensson uses a mix of samples and wavetables to generate sounds that range from acoustic to synthetic, with a special focus on everything in between.
The sounds are designed by Cuckoo. We love how much care he puts into making his sounds feel colorful and expressive, and how naturally he blends synths with pianos and other acoustic instruments.
Loop and Layer
Svensson keeps track of the notes you play, so you don’t have to hit record before you start. If you like what you just played, hit Loop to capture it.
The four sound categories are also separate parts that can be looped individually. Loops can be as long as you want, and you can add as many layers as you want.
Build Quality
Svensson has a metal body with solid oak sides and is manufactured in Germany. It uses a Fatar keyboard with 49 semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive keys.
The built-in speaker is custom-made by Swedish speaker guru Ingvar Γhman. It's surprisingly loud and lets you play so other people can hear without additional gear. Perfect for living room jams.
Connections
Sustain pedal
Stereo line out
Headphones
USB-A for class-compliant audio and MIDI
USB-C for power and data
Availability
We're on the final stretch of getting Svensson ready for production. The price is not fully locked in, but expected to be around 899 EUR / 999 USD.
Preorders for the first limited batch will start soon. The first units will ship to customers in early fall 2026."

Introducing the Body Synths Laboratory
video upload by Body Synths

"The Body Synths Laboratory is a dual-channel effects processor and feedback synthesizer.
Four feedback paths sit at the core of the Laboratory. Route signals, control delay repeats, or add gritty textures. Push them far enough, and the system enters self-oscillation—even with no input. From there, every control reshapes the feedback into anything from subtle drones to harsh noise madness.
Each channel features three voltage-controlled effects: gain, delay, and filter. Run the channels in series or in parallel. Push signals from silence to amplification with the Gain control. Drive the Delay into dirty territory at longer times—we’ve used that famous karaoke machine delay chip. Combine both channels to create multi-tap or ping-pong echoes.
The Resonant Filter provides Low-Pass and High-Pass modes. Chain the two channels in series to create Band-Pass responses. A final clipping stage at the end of each channel adds compression and distortion when driven to extremes.
We’ve also included a global Modulator that can operate as either an Envelope or an LFO, with two positive and two negative CV outputs. Patch them to build effects like tremolo, vibrato, chorus, moving stereo filter sweeps, modulated delays—it can get pretty wild.
The Body Synths Laboratory is being developed in collaboration with Andrey from the Berlin-based pedal company akkusativ.

Release: 2026. Price: TBA."

Making Rythms from Feedback with the Zakal from Colossus Audio and the Metal Fetishist
video upload by Body Synths
"The "pairing series" is back! In this one we explore the Zakal, a spring reverb / feedback device from Colossus Audio. We start by using the Metal Fetishist as a sound source but quickly flip the tables and use it as a sound processor instead, making Rythms with the feedback tones that come through its input from the Zakal.
The background noise you may hear comes from my microphone, not from the instruments. I will be more careful next time.
https://bodysynths.com/ | https://www.colossusaudio.com/"
"Zakal is a resonant audio feedback instrument. It generates feedback using reverb springs, with the feedback signal shaped by a low-pass filter and a delay in the feedback path or simple feedback. Additionally, Zakal can function as a spring reverb effect, offering versatile sonic possibilities.
Zakal contains amplification and recovery circuits designed to generate audio feedback through its reverb springs.
A switch allows you to engage the LPF and Delay within the feedback path, enabling creative control over the frequencies fed back into the spring reverb, shaping unique resonant textures.
When used as a spring reverb effects unit, the POST EQ provides precise shaping of the wet signal, offering enhanced tonal flexibility.
At the end of the chain, a 3-band EQ provides additional shaping of the output, offering precise control over the final sound. When used as a spring reverb effects unit, the EQ enhances the wet signal for even greater tonal versatility.
ZAKAL does not include a power supply. It operates on a standard 9V DC (negative center, 2.1mm barrel plug) compatible with most guitar pedal power supplies. If you do not own one feel free to reach out, and I’ll help you find a suitable option."

video upload by Sineway
"Syntakt firmware 1.40 just dropped - and yes, it plays samples now. But that's not the real story.
After spending serious time with this firmware, I found 7 power-ups that completely change what this machine is capable of. We're talking new oscillator colors, evolving morph engines, harmonic stacking with real instrument samples, character layering that captures the soul of your synths, track linking with analog filter routing, stereo filter panning, and performance upgrades that make jamming more intuitive than ever.
This isn't about drum one-shots. This is about what sampling unlocks for sound design, harmony, and musicality on a machine that already had serious creative depth.
All sounds in this video come from my own sample library recorded from my synthesizers — including the Novation Peak, Sequential Fourm, and Arturia AstroLab 37. The full sample pack and project files are available on my Patreon.

via JULIEN*S

"THE FLORIAN SCHNEIDER COLLECTION
Auction to be held at Musician's Hall of Fame & Museum, Nashville, on November 19
An incredible collection of more than 450 artifacts from the life and career of Florian Schneider, co-founder of the pioneer electronic band Kraftwerk."
Pics and videos featuring some of the gear below, and his Lederhosen for good measure (thanks greg!).
Update: the post has been fully updated with all the synth related gear. This may just well be the longest post to be featured on the site. I wanted to capture all the pics for all of the details including notes, scuffs, and of course serial numbers. It's an interesting look into what he used, the condition he keped his gear, in some cases, how he actually used his gear. Note the phonetics on the keys of the Casio CZ-101 and DX-100. Note the Midi Switch Box with a built-in speaker? What's that about? Note the camouflage key strap on the Korg RK-100 Remote Keyboard. Did he pick it out himself or did the keytar just come with it? Note the repeat midi controllers and the MIDI saxaphones. Wind was his primary instrument. You'll find a ton of the acoustic gear he used in the other listings. This is a fascinating insight into both what and how he used his gear.

Rack Mount Sennheiser VSM-201 Vocoder
Starting Bid $5,000
Estimate $20,000 - $40,000 USD
A late 1970s Sennheiser VSM 201 Vocoder with no serial number from the personal studio and collection of Florian Schneider of Kraftwerk (see images). While it’s said that only a few dozen of these Vocoders were produced, a few examples made it into the hands of forward-thinking musical artists including Herbie Hancock, Daft Punk, and of course, Kraftwerk, who used a VSM-201 like this on their albums Man Machine (1978) and Computerworld (1981). The VSM-201 has an intelligible sound that has not yet been bested by modern gear. Includes power cable. This VSM-201 has been removed from its wooden enclosure (which bears the serial number plate) and modified with a metal rack mount casing, presumably for live use. Requires 240v, IEC power cable not included.
Dimensions: 19 x 9 x 9 inches
Category: Kraftwerk, Equipment
Provenance: PROVENANCE From the Estate of Florian Schneider

MACHINA BRISTRONICA LΓSTLVLS
video uploads by LΓSTLVLS
Playlist:
1. - 4. ERICA SYNTHS HEXDRUMS 01 - 04 // MACHINA BRISTRONICA '25 // LΓSTLVLS
I got to spend some quality time with the Hexdrums - it sounds really beefy and each voice has a tonne of sweet spots. The Hexdrums has loads of saturation available, is built to a high standard and feels very performative. This is the first of four videos.5. ERICA SYNTHS PERKONS HD-01 // MACHINA BRISTRONICA '25 // LΓSTLVLS
Check out my samples on Bandcamp - loads of vintage and modern drum machines and more, all samples ethically-sourced and locally-grown here in the lab in Bristol, UK: https://lostlvls.bandcamp.com/
The formidable Perkons HD-01 was available at Machina Bristronica - how could I resist? For my money the Perkons is the most 'jammable' and gratifying drum machine on the market, hands-down. The person using it before filming this session was dancing and really enjoying their time with it. Was a joy to witness!6. MODOR DR-2 // MACHINA BRISTRONICA '25 // LΓSTLVLS
The excellent DR-2 drum machine from Modor aka Marcel Belmans. Was a treat to finally meet Marcel and discuss his creations. In this video Marcel kindly demonstrated the DR-2 for us.7. BODY SYNTHS METAL FETISHIST x2 // MACHINA BRISTRONICA '25 // LΓSTLVLS

Fred's Lab Manatee TouchOSC Bidirectional Editor v4.0
via synth_nyc
NB: This Bank B has entirely been created using the editor.
This is my favorite patch in that bank. It illustrates what the Manatee can do like a warm FM full body pad (that you can do on a DX synth) but with an aggressive attack and subtle spectral decay and movement that only the Manatee can do AFAIK.
Thanks to Fred’s Lab for providing me with the MIDI NRPN (and CC) specifications.
GENERIC FEATURES:
- Display parameter Name and Value
- Double click a slider or button to reset it to a default value
- MIDI data rate efficient: only sends a MIDI message if the parameter value is incremented or decremented by 1
SPECIFIC FEATURES (FW v1.06d):
- 1 Editor Page for the Part Main parameters
- 1 Editor Page for the Part Auxiliary parameters
- 1 Editor Page for the Multi parameters
- 1 Editor Page for the System parameters
- All 162 Part + 27 Multi + 48 System parameters implemented in the editor using NRPN. Part parameters are bidirectional using NRPN and SYSEX.
- MIDI Channel selection slider
- Bank (change) + Program (change) selection slider + buttons
- Buffer Init button using SYSEX
WORKFLOW 1 EDITING FROM PATCH (starting at 00:05 in the video above):
- Select a Bank & Program
- Go to the synth, press and hold the 1 button (the synth must be in Part mode)
- Start editing (the loaded patch) on the editor (the Patch is edited in the synth buffer)
- Go to the synth, press and hold the 1 button to record it in your DAW / SYSEX librarian; or save it manually in the synth
WORKFLOW 2 EDITING FROM SCRATCH (starting at 01:18 in the video above):
- Press Buffer Init to send an Init Patch to the synth
- Start editing (the init patch) on the editor (the Patch is edited in the synth buffer)
- Go to the synth, press and hold the 1 button to record it in your DAW / SYSEX librarian; or save it manually in the synth

Oberheim TEO-5 - Can it do the OB6 Patch 007 Broken EP?
video upload by Scott McAuley Sounds
"Patches will be available at https://www.orano.co.uk/shop or http://www.synthsounds.co.uk
A very common question I am asked is can the TEO-5 do the infamous OB-6 - Patch007 Broken EP? so I set out over the past couple of days, tweaking, and programming to see how close the TEO can get to the OB6 Broken EP Patch, and I am happy to say although they are very different synths, the TEO can get remarkably close!
Here is a demo of Two Patches i will include in Labyrinth Vol.2
First Patch 'SM OB6 Broken EP' is as close as I could get to my OB6
Second 'SM TEO Broken EP' is a fuller, noisier version which has a bit more body to it.
Enjoy!
Scott.

Oberheim’s SEM sequenced with Metal Fetishist
video upload by Body Synths
"I had the opportunity to borrow an original Tom Oberheim SEM reissue from a friend and this video is a selection of some sounds I came up with. The 2 Metal Fetishists are in sync and being used as sequencers for the SEM’s pitch and gate CV inputs. Aside from that I tried to keep the patching to a minimum. What can I say about the SEM? it is very fun to play and it sounds absolutely amazing. I loved playing with the filter resonance to get classic Oberheim textures. As for the Metal Fetishist, sometimes I like using it as “just” a sequencer for my monophonic synths, so I thought this was a good opportunity to showcase how I do it. Feel free to ask questions in the comments. I hope you liked this one!
