Arduino VGM player with rough SN76489 emulation - sneak peak of a video game music chiptune project
video upload by Marcel Licence
"Similar to the previous project I wanted to implement the playback of a new file format.
In this project VGM files are played on different platforms (decompressed VGZ files).
To get any audio I've implemented a very rough emulation of the SN76489 sound chip.
It has three square wave outputs and a noise channel.
The noise channel does not completely work as intended yet.
You might hear some deviations to the expected audio of the video game music.
This project is implemented in Arduino.
After adding some more features I will make this project available soon.
Used VGM files:
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - 07 - Sky High Zone.vgm
- Global Gladiators - 02 - Techno Tune.vgz
- Global Gladiators - 03 - Duelin-Dance.vgz
- Global Gladiators - 04 - Dance Tune.vgz
- Lemmings - 01 - Title screen.vgm
- Lemmings - 02 - Can-Can.vgm
- Lemmings - 03 - Levels 2 & 19.vgm
- Lemmings - 04 - Levels 3 & 20.vgm
- Lemmings - 05 - Levels 4 & 21.vgm
Files were originally in .vgz format and I renamed them to .vgz, decompressed them
and finally renamed the uncompressed files back to .vgm before I could play them.

SUBSPACE ... 50 cinematic ambient patches for the Arturia Minifreak (V)
video upload by substan
"SUBSPACE is a collection of 50 cinematic ambient patches for the Arturia Minifreak. Of course these sound works on both the hardware Minifreak and its software version.
Like all my sound packs, SUBSPACE is a collection of sounds that were created in a musical context for my own tracks. So the main focus is again on drones, pads, arps and lively pluck sounds in various forms. These sounds are suitable for a variety of genres ... but of course (like all my sound packs) perfectly suitable for ambient, psybient, downbeat, soundtracks and chillout music.
You can buy the sound pack here:
https://substan.gumroad.com/l/subspace
or you can get the sound pack (and much much more) by joining me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/substan"

♫ Jamming With a Bunch of Synths ♫ ----- (79)
video upload by Bata
"This jam is a little weird. My phone was on low battery which made the video slightly glitchy. I was a bit distracted during this recording so it's maybe a bit more boring than usual. There is also a couple mysterious audio drop outs near the end of the video. I didn't notice these prior to uploading so it's possible something went wrong when combining the audio and video files or something.

Vinyl Drum Machine Collection
video upload by GoldbabySamples
"Vinyl Drum Machine Collection. Available now: https://www.goldbaby.co.nz/vdmc.html 16 drum machines cut to vinyl and played back on multiple record players."
"The inherent charm of vinyl has consistently enriched my sampling technique. Vinyl adds warmth, depth, and character to audio.
I meticulously recorded 16 drum machines for this pack - sending them to renowned record-cutting studios, DubStudios, and Analog Cuts. Back in the Goldbaby studio, the resulting Acetates and Dub Plates were played back on an audiophile deck (Project), vintage decks (Technics and Pye), and even a portable deck (Vestax). Tastefully recorded through high-end studio hardware and carefully edited into one-hit drum samples, these are some seriously good drums with loads of character and made with love!
This pack also includes a selection of drum samples recorded on a lo-fi Japanese plastic toy vinyl recorder (Gakken). Some very useful vinyl synth oscillators (Triangle, Saw and Square). Lastly, a folder full of vinyl noise and vinyl click samples.
Drum Machines: Syntakt, Uno Drum, TR808, TR909, TR606, TR505, TR626, LM-1, Linn Drum, Drumulator, SP12, MicroTonic, MBase01, Ritmo 12, DR110, CR78.
This is an upgrade of my old Vinyl Drum Machines pack. Most of the drums have been re-tuned and re-mastered. I also added more drum machines and more samples! **Those who own the old Vinyl Drum Machine pack are entitled to a 60% discount.
