Keyboard Theatre

"Initiated in 2008, Keyboard Theatre started with humble beginnings but big dreams, to offer an experience like no other to each musician that stopped by.

We began with GEM keyboards from General Music S.p.A. Italy, and soon expanded to take on the multi award winner and highly acclaimed Nord keyboards from Clavia, Sweden."

1970s Godley & Creme Gizmotron Demo Record

"A vintage flexidisc promoting a rare and short-lived product, the Godley & Creme Gizmotron (a.k.a. Gizmo), a device that allowed guitarists to play sustained notes and chords on their guitars. Shown is the six-string variation. A bass version was also made."
via wikipedia:
"According to Paul Gambaccini's sleeve notes for Consequences,[1] 10cc were unable to afford an orchestra for their early albums, so Creme and Godley imagined an effects unit that would enable a guitar to produce violin-like sounds (this was some years before the introduction of the polyphonic synthesiser and long before the development of digital sampling).

The resulting device, a small box which was attached to the bridge of the guitar, consisted of six small motor-driven wheels, whose continuous bowing action was activated by pressing one or all of keys located on the top of the unit. Pressing a key would bow the corresponding string, while the other hand remained free to fret single notes or full chords."

"Sitar-ish drone sounds

Rare Polyfusion Modular in Moog Format

via this auction

"This is truly a one-of-a-kind item! These are Polyfusion modular synthesizer modules in a Moog format. When Polyfusion started, they made these modules to fit into a Moog modular system before they had developed their own format. These are likely the only modules of this type known to exist!

The modules include:
- Two Variable Formant Filters - each with 3 bands of variable width, frequency, and level for sculpting sounds.
- Dual Ring Modulator for wonderful clangorous sounds.
- Dual Sample & Hold module for wonderful modulations.

These modules were originally housed in a wooden box with a simple power supply. I put them into a Synthesizers.com rack and filled the open space with a Synthesizers.com Q134 multiples module. All of these are included in the auction. I also had MOTM power connectors added but these can easily be switched for any +/-15V supply.

These modules were part of Martin Newcomb's Museum of Synthesizer Technology in the 1990s. They are shown on page 78 of his wonderful book on the museum and can be seen in the following You-Tube video at around 2:00. This is an opportunity to own a truly unique part of synthesizer history!"

OSC2: saw/pulse/noise
SubOsc: square (-1 oct below the settings of OSC1)

the SH-2 was monophonic, Krolar SX-2 has a small red button (top right) that allows you to switch from monophonic (low note priority) to polyphonic (6 voices)
the other features are self explanitory...

JLCOOPER/OBERFACE midi inputs and outputs for DSX

via this auction

Not the best shots, but you don't see these often.

"This unit works in tandem with the Oberheim DSX providing inputs and outputs. Its task is to allow theDSX to take control of its memory, and to have the numbers representing voice notes, keyboard notes, program # etc. be in exactly the same places and in the same form that the DSX is expecting to find them At the same time, it has to handle Midi information input and output."

"Disclaimer: many of the images used in this video were taken from a Google images search. If you are the owner if any of these images and do not approve of their use in this video, please contact me and I'll remove them.

Hey guys, been a while since I did a video but I've had this project in mind for some time now. Took a good few days to gather the raw materials and a few more of fiddling with Pro Tools, Fireworks and Windows Movie Maker (which will crash if you so much as look at it the wrong way)!

Anyway, this video might be a little slow for some people and this is version 1.0 so there's always room for improvement. Please leave some comments (constructive criticism more than welcome) if there's anything you'd like to know or think I should change.

Hope you enjoy it!"
