Melody & Probability - #eurorack Session with all AJH SYNTH Sound & Modulation Modules
video upload by AJH Synth Official
"This session consists of 4 voices, mixed, effected and recorded directly into the modular (see 'Modules used' below). A simple Moog-style bass line using the Transistor Ladder Filter is accompanied my a pitched drone from 2 VCO's going into the Wave Swarm, then Fixed Filter Bank 914.
These are joined by a melodic, sequenced part, created with a single VCO going into the Ring SM for sub-bass/sub-octaves, then the Sonic XV Diode filter. This part is randomised later in the track, and uses the Chance Delay for step probability.
Percussion comes from the Entropic Doom, with random stepped voltages from the Tap Tempo VC-LFO modulating it's built-in low pass filter frequency. The Tap Tempo VC-LFO also acts as a clock multiplier for this part, and later the melodic pattern too.
Video & Performance by @DreamsOfWires
The AJH SYNTH Eurorack modular range consists of high-end modules, all hand-made in the UK, most of which are based on classic, vintage designs, authentically recreating the circuitry of much sought-after analogue instruments and technologies of the past, whilst greatly expanding them, and bringing them to modern Eurorack levels of convenience, limitless flexibility, and reliability.

Dr. Endo explores LIVEN Evoke: EXPR//Residue
video upload by SONICWARE
"LIVEN Evoke | Acoustronic Synthesizer with Granular Effect

Dr. Endo – Live Set
PTN12: EXPR//Residue
---
A cinematic ambient track evoking the grandeur of a distant galactic empire, EXPR//Residue begins with a solemn tuba drone and unfolds into a slowly shifting sonic landscape.
The tuba forms the foundation of the piece—its rich tone is enhanced with a harmonic waveform to add depth, and sent through GRAIN FX to transform a simple two-note bassline into a dense, evolving low-frequency texture.
Oboe chords provide a gentle, pad-like atmosphere, blending naturally into reverb to create soft, immersive motion.
Scattered throughout the track, piano accents are pulled and stretched using the BACKTIDE function, adding expressive drag and emotional tension.
One track is dedicated to filtered noise, modulated by an LFO on the low-pass filter cutoff. This creates a storm-like undercurrent that blends beautifully with the reverb, expanding the spatial field of the mix.
This piece explores the remnants of something vast and ancient—a residue of sound and structure left drifting in space.

Moog Mariana 50 Dynamic Presets. No Talking Sound Demo
video upload by Anton Anru
"Sequentizer is a collection of 50 patches for the Moog Mariana VST synthesizer, including 21 basses, 22 leads, and 7 textures.
🎼 This soundset is dedicated to rhythmical timbres.
Moog Mariana features dual-layer architecture, six LFOs, and four random generators. By combining different modulation waveforms and speeds, it's possible to create rich, evolving, and rhythmically driven sounds.
Simply hold down a key or MIDI note — and the pattern plays itself.
📦 Get these presets: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/mari...
🥁 That’s the concept behind the name Sequentizer: while Mariana doesn’t include an internal sequencer, these patches are programmed to simulate complex sequences and rhythmic patterns through modulation alone.
💎 The soundset explores a wide tonal spectrum: warm, deep, soft, clean, punchy, dark, bright, aggressive, distorted, detuned and others.
🎚 The ModWheel brings additional expressiveness — brightening the tone, introducing detune, or expanding the stereo field depending on the patch.
🧿 These presets are versatile and suited for a broad range of genres: ambient, electronica, cinematic, retrowave, synthwave, darkwave, IDM, trip-hop, lounge, downtempo, pop, chill out, new age, trance, deep, progressive, techno, breaks, jungle, drum and bass, dub, and more.
💡 Make sure you’re using the latest version of the plugin to ensure compatibility.
To install the presets:
Open the preset browser pop-up menu (top center of the plugin).
Click “Open Presets Folder.”
Move the downloaded presets into this folder.
Restart the plugin — the new patches will appear under the User category."

Introducing the AS Vocoder: True Analogue Vocoding from Analogue Solutions
video upload by Analogue Solutions
"The AS Vocoder is available as a standalone unit, or as an upgrade to your Colossus synthesizer.
The sounds heard in this video were made with the Colossus synthesizer and the AS Vocoder. Let this video serve as our official announcement. More demos to come!
What is the AS Vocoder?
Analogue Solutions proudly introduces the AS Vocoder, a powerful, full-analogue vocoder that blends authentic vintage inspiration with modern reliability. Designed and built with precision, the AS Vocoder brings the distinctive warmth and character of classic analogue vocoding into contemporary studio environments.
This vocoder is not a digital emulation—it’s the real deal, offering 100% analogue audio paths and modulation circuits. While the AS Vocoder draws design inspiration from vintage classics of the 1970s, such as iconic vocoder units used in groundbreaking electronic music, all circuits within the AS Vocoder are original Analogue Solutions designs.
The AS Vocoder analyses the spectral content of speech or any audio signal and uses it to modulate internal oscillators or external sound sources. It provides musicians, producers, and sound designers with the legendary vocoder effect, capable of generating harmonically rich, robotic, or melodic vocal textures.
There are no gimmicks, just pure, unadulterated analogue vocoding crafted in a rugged enclosure designed for studio integration and live performance reliability. With a premium build quality that includes a solid metal case and precision-engineered components, the AS Vocoder ensures durability and consistency for years to come.
The AS Vocoder will be available as a Colossus upgrade and as a standalone unit.
A Brief Word on Vocoders
The vocoder has long been a cornerstone of electronic music, offering a unique way to merge voice and machine. First brought into the musical spotlight by Kraftwerk in the 1970s, its robotic vocal textures became part of the sonic DNA of their work. Artists like Herbie Hancock and Daft Punk later embraced vocoders as creative tools to shape melodies and rhythms, not just voices—expanding their role in music production far beyond novelty.
With 12 bands of filtering, flexible routing, and envelope follower outputs, vocoders like the AS Vocoder allow you to impose the spectral content of one signal—often the human voice—onto another, such as a harmonically rich synth tone. This creates the classic “talking synth” effect, but also opens the door to more experimental textures when fed drums, noise, or sequenced tones. The AS Vocoder makes this process hands-on, with CV options and modular access points designed for deep integration and patch experimentation.
The AS Vocoder brings this classic effect into the Analogue Solutions ecosystem with true analogue character and modern usability. Designed as a standalone unit or to integrate directly into the Colossus console, it adds a new dimension to sound design—perfectly complementing Colossus’s vast modulation and audio-routing capabilities. Whether for vocals, drums, or synth lines, the AS Vocoder opens up a new layer of sonic potential."

Void & Vista: FRAMES
video upload by VOID & VISTA
Press release follows:
LONDON, UK: VOID & VISTA is proud to announce availability of FRAMES as its latest bold virtual instrument for contemporary music creation — crafted for Native Instruments’ KONTAKT platform, pairing characterful, expressive, and unique sampling with powerful sound design features and an inspiring interface rendering it ideal for media composers, production music writers, and (obviously) sound designers, as well as also expanding the toolbox of artists and producers across multiple genres thanks to its variety of emotive sounds and textures — as of April 23…
Being built around 40 sound sources made from capturing unique, unrepeatable sonic moments, FRAMES readily represents a bespoke collection of specially curated samples created using prepared instruments, resonated sound objects, and aleatoric performances using experimental techniques. These are all recorded at 96kHz using specialist microphones to capture sound beyond the range of human hearing, ready to pitch down and explore.
Such sound sources are split into five categories: INSTRUMENTS — traditional instruments captured using extended techniques and aleatoric performances; OBJECTS — uniquely prepared objects and instruments played in experimental ways; EFFECTED — heavily effected, processed sounds, and resonated objects; TEXTURES — tonal, textural, and found sounds that are perfect for blending; and WAVES — sampled synth waveforms taken from an analogue hardware collection.
Above and beyond that, the new ZONE SHIFT feature vastly expands the timbres of each sound source, enabling immediate dynamic exploration of the movement and detail found within them. Thanks to shifting samples from different registers, sounds can shift from slow and muted to frantic and urgent with each key press.
But better still, those 40 sound sources can be layered, sculpted, and effected using the deep two-layer sound design engine, featuring multimode FILTERS; two MOTION LFOs (Low Frequency Oscillators) — LFO 1 and LFO 2; six envelopes; LOFI effects; an ENSEMBLE page for blending additional voices; parallel CHARACTER insert effects; and dedicated SPACE send effects. And all of this sound design power is available from an inspiring and intuitive interface, designed to keep users focused on making music.
Music-making or otherwise, users ultimately benefit from FRAMES coming complete with a colossal collection of preset snapshots organised logically for ease of use, with pre-assigned mod wheel modulation mappings for jaw-dropping sound manipulation.
FRAMES is initially available to purchase at a 20%-discounted price until June 4, 2025 — rising thereafter to its regular price of £129.00 GBP — as a KONTAKT PLAYER-compatible/NKS (NATIVE KONTROL STANDARD®)-ready AAX-, AU-, and VST-formatted virtual instrument plug-in featuring 16 GB of samples that works with all major DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) running on macOS 12 or above — natively compatible with Apple Silicon — and Windows 10/11 directly from the dedicated product webpage here: https://www.voidandvista.com/products/frames
To function, FRAMES needs Native Instruments KONTAKT 7.10 or higher via the Native Access 2 administration tool for music creation software available from here: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2/

GForce Bass Station synth goes perfectly with Launchkey
video upload by Novation
"Based on a true story, GForce Bass Station is an expertly modelled recreation of our first ever synth released in 1993. Its digitally controlled analogue oscillators, filters, and VCAs from the late, great Chris Huggett’s legendary WASP synthesiser, gave it an unruly, lo-fi sound. Cementing its status as an underground icon, the original Bass Station featured on pivotal records from Radiohead, Orbital, Nine Inch Nails, and Wu-Tang Clan.
What's better, is how Launchkey MK4's creative tools and customisable mapping capabilities enable you to perform the digital recreation, not just play. Watch to see what you can do with Launchkey and the GForce Bass Station.
Bass Station fans will feel at home here, with the original hardware’s sound, feature list, and much of the interface faithfully recreated in exacting detail. However, GForce didn’t stop there. This digital descendent comes with modern enhancements and quality-of-life improvements we could only dream of in 1993.
The Bass Station plugin is included with every purchase of Launchkey MK4, SL MkIII, or FLkey and has been specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with each model. It is also available for purchase directly from GForce Software.

The GForce IconDrum pays homage to the legendary Linn drum machine revising the concept for today’s digital age. The IconDrum provides a bridge connecting the iconic sounds of the early 80s with the creative possibilities offered by modern rhythm creation methods.
Authentic Sound—Immerse yourself in the vibe of old-school drum sounds, recreated and refined for pristine clarity without losing their classic digital warmth. The IconDrum brings you a rich library of 100 authentic sounds, each carrying the soul of the original machine.
Limitless Creativity—Aligned with its innovative feature set, the IconDrum’s sleek and user-friendly interface invites everyone, from beginners to experienced producers, to engage, experiment, and create sounds that are timeless and span a multitude of musical styles.
A LASTING LEGACY INTO THE HEARTBEAT OF MUSIC HISTORY
Like the Oberheim DMX drum machine, the original Linn hardware has left an indelible mark on the soundscape of popular music, crafting the rhythmic foundation of timeless tracks across a spectrum of genres.
From the unmistakable pulse of Prince’s “1999” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” to the iconic beat driving The Human League’s “Fascination”, the LinnDrum defined an era. Its rhythms laid the foundation for a-ha’s “Take On Me,” Madonna’s “Lucky Star,” and Billy Idol’s “Eyes Without a Face,” shaping the unmistakable sound of the ’80s. Even Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer” and Stevie Nicks’ “Stand Back” owe their groove to this iconic drum machine.
We’ve included all the original sounds, maintaining their unique character that propelled these classic tracks. The IconDrum also offers many alternatives, expanding the classic sound set to inspire both nostalgic recreations and fresh, innovative productions.
