They will let anyone have a MPC Keys 37 Day 7 Conclusion

video upload by G Tracks

The playlist above features all 7 days.

"Hey y'all, I am bringing you a brand new piece of amazing awesome-sauce part Seven!!! Day 7
These are my thoughts after using this phenomenal machine for a week, granted I have limited experience with the whole MPC system and a million things to learn. This has been an amazing week learning and growing and I truly believe that anyone can pick and use this fantastic machine. It definitely will take some dedication and a lot of learning but everything is all right there in the Key 37. I set a goal for myself to do a weeks worth of sessions and I am hooked and want to do more. As I am exploring this machine ideas are just flowing and that is a really good feeling. The easiest way to start is with a drum kit which provides you with a set of 16 drums and sounds to choose from to make a custom beat. You then can add an additional drum kit or single sounds to round out your beat. The Key 37 also offers a dedicated button to be able to go right to your keyboard sounds/ Plug ins that will get you going quick. Straight out of the box it comes pre loaded with all of this and AKAI offers additional bundles so you will never get bored or tired of the same sounds. I have not learned to chop samples yet but with STEMS coming out you'll be able to make your own custom samples. I look forward to exploring and sharing what I learn in my Sessions/Tracks to come. This is a personal journey, and whether you choose to share your music or keep it for yourself, don't let the outside noise distract you from creating -the process should be fun and should make you happy. This session I created a beat that is suiting for a conclusion to my first week with the MPC Key 37. I am so grateful to all of you that have watched me with this amazing machine and Thank You for coming along with me on this journey. Don't fret I will be back soon so Please like and subscribe to catch all the new great content to come. Have a fantastic day and Let's Make Some Music!"

From scratch - Needles ๐Ÿงต (Perfourmer Mk2 + Superego+ + H9 // Deco v2 // Simplifier Dlx // Hapax)

video upload by 2-Minute Warning

"This is a 'from scratch' jam featuring only one instrument, the Vermona Perfourmer Mk2, 4-voice analog synth. I've used its individual outputs for the BASS which is being saturated with the Deco v2 pedal, and LEAD through the Simplifier Dlx analog amp.
The PLUCK riff is being fed into the Superego Plus synth-freeze engine and H9 delay.

The PLUCK and BASS are being sequenced and the LEAD played live on the Hapax hardware sequencer.

I used the RANDOMIZER and SCALE MIDI effects of the Hapax in order to transpose occasionally and randomly the PLUCK (for the riff to be a bit more interesting ๐Ÿ˜Š).
The PLUCK is also being turned sometimes into a PAD when I activate (green button) the Superego+ pedal."

Essential guide to the DB-01 Bassline (2024 edition)

video upload by Richard DeHove

"This guide is meant for new users and is ordered to present the information you need as you start to explore the machine. So if you've just got your machine, plug it in and follow along, and by the end of the video you'll know 95% of the functions and be happily creating, saving and tweaking patterns. The DB-01 really is an amazingly well-balanced machine that can do much more than mere basslines.

My original guide to the DB-01 was published back in 2020 and although it's one of my most popular videos it was done on a crusty camera and onboard mic. So after dozens of videos about this sturdy little machine, I thought it deserved a redo.

If, at the end, there are areas where you want more detail, there's sure to be a video about it in my DB-01 playlist. Please have a look. If not, ask in the comments, I try to answer every question.

New Groc Granular Hardware Synth from Oddment Audio

video uploads by oddment audio

Playlist: 1. Groc granular synth - modulating fun
Here we have simple note sustain while modulating grain bandwidth, overlap, placement (in stereo field), distortion drive and filter cutoff frequency. Oh, and our first reveal of the delay unit!
2. Violin and ambience with Groc granular synth
Here we are editing sample loop points, ADSR envelope and Groc's unique "time path" to create lush sustains from a short violin clip.
3. cool fall day + warm groc tones
walking on a cool fall day, accompanied by warm tones produced by groc granular synth
4. Groc - LED sequence with spatial sound
This video shows the first testing of the groc interface board, and includes the first audio demonstrations of spatial sound overlaid. Headphones recommended!
5. Groc Demo - Grain parameters
First demo of groc's grain parameters with a guitar loop as audio sample.

"Sculpt sound. Modulate everything. Do you groc?

Stunning, yes.

Slim, yes.

Powerhouse, also yes.
quad core 64-bit ARM processor
1GB RAM, 4GB of user storage
vivid DSI touch screen
cutting edge signal processing
fits in a bread box

Not like the others.

Groc demonstrates that a compact form can deliver unparalleled functionality. Access dozens of parameters in the custom granular synthesis engine with 4 grains encoders. Achieve one-of-a-kind manipulations of playback speed, shape multiple envelopes, edit audio sample crop and loop points, adjust 4 LFOs, 3 macros and morph between patches with just 8 more encoders. Add in an entire world of effects, accessed with just 4 more.
The large and vivid touch screen provides rich information and beautiful visualizations of your sounds, and enables deep functionality within just a touch or two. Is this where we mention the placard at Oddment HQ that reads, “Down with menu diving!”?

Patch without limits.

Every parameter on groc is a modulation destination, and connecting modulation sources is as easy as plugging in a patch cable (w/o the need to search in your closet).

To go with its myriad destinations, groc has a bounty of modulation sources: 4 LFOs, 4 envelopes, MIDI velocity, key tracking, polyphonic after touch and all the rest.
In the event you were hoping to use a physical patch cable, yes, you can use groc’s modulation sources to wiggle analog voltages via the 4 control outputs. Or configure them as inputs to control any of groc’s parameters with CV from your other gear, a sustain pedal or you name it.

Did you want to sequence a parameter, or draw a custom modulation curve on the touch screen? That seems reasonable and groc will support you. Do you want to connect a dozen or more modulation sources to the same parameter? That is far less reasonable, but that’s just, like, our opinion."

Oberheim OB-X8 Videos by Adam Borseti

video uploads by Adam Borseti

The above playlist features a handful of Oberheim OB-X8 videos by Adam Borseti. Note the first few videos feature the custom OB-Xa style overlay (link below), followed by the stock OB-X style panel.

Playlist:

1. First Day of Summer! (Oberheim OB-X8)
Here's a fun little spur-of-the-moment jam over a song I've been working on. This is the direction I want the song to go in, but I'm probably going to re-record some of it. We'll see. You like the 80s style OB-Xa/OB-8 blue pin stripes for the OB-X8? I do to! They're made of semi-rigid plastic and can be applied or removed in less than 2 minutes with no adhesive. It's really cool to be able to switch between the late 70s OB-X look and the super-1980s OB-Xa and OB-8 look.

Get yours here https://www.synthoverlays.com/product...
2. Random Improv Jam

3. Going places in DOUBLE MODE
Using the SEM filters in lowpass for the bottom layer and a delicious Notch filter on the upper layer pad.
4. OB-X8 - Left Hand Bass Exercises
Laying down bass lines thick and hard with lefty, following the lead of whatever chord righty is holding down. This was all improvised so forgive any chord meandering and weird transitions, mistakes and the like. Is what it is.
5. "Approaching Chaos" - Oberheim OB-X8
All sounds made with the Oberheim OB-X8 run through a Zoom MS-70CDR, with the drums from my Roland TR-626. Enjoy
6. Oberheim OB-X8 - Cinematic improvisation & Double Mode patch
Consider this some filler while I'm working on my next actual song. I'm almost done!
7. "Reflections" - Oberheim OB-X8
A new original tune of mine, the first in a good long while! Less time and more stress have resulted in less creativity haha, but I'm trying over here. :)
8. The Camera Eye - Oberheim OB-X8
I mean, it's THAT sound......

Introducing IOLabs Particles - Touchscreen Physics Simulator for Eurorack

video uploads by IOLabs

A new module from the makers of Flux. IOLabs Particles is currently live on Kickstarter here.

Video Playlist:
IOLabs Particles: Touchscreen Physics Simulator for Eurorack!
IOLabs Particles: Centered Gravity Quantize Demo
IOLabs Particles: Collision Physics Demo

"Live on Kickstarter from Jan 31st 2024!

Our new module offers the possibility to create music using our creative physics engine. Add particles, animated surfaces, portals, black holes and generate gates on collisions, CV output voltages & quantized melodies!

Each particle can have entirely unique physics parameters including acceleration, velocity, mass & gravity! All interact in your simulation to create collisions and XY positional data that can be mapped to generate musically useful gates, voltages & notes. Collisions for some particles may even be switched off so that they move freely around the screen without colliding with other simulation elements.

Multiple quantize zone maps can be used simultaneously to create chords and multiple particles may be mapped to the same output to allow transposition of melodies. CV outputs can be set to send a transposed voltage from another output for easy chord generation.

One particle can control all outputs or all particles (up to 50) can control one output, and anything in between. As with Flux, we have aimed to keep the module as flexible as possible. All simulations can be drawn from scratch using the touchscreen or simulations can also be crafted in fine detail by inputting exact values in the UI.

Multiple external and internal timed resets can be used simultaneously per particle to sync to external equipment or create repetition and complex rhythms as explored in the demo video.

Endless rhythmic and melodic possibilities await!

Please note - the module's hardware itself obeys the real world laws of physics as is in no danger of floating away from your case should you experiment with gravity values. It should however be held in place by mounting screws (just in case)."
