"Here we are checking out the scale presets on the K2579. We're using a Livewire AFG as an oscillator, a Dual Bissell Generator as an envelope generator, a Metasonix r-51 as a VCA, and the Flight of Harmony Sound of Shadows delay on the backend. We entered a simple chromatic sequence, then flip through the different available scales. You can also control gate time as shown here in the video.
This is a great little sequencer module. It's compact and full of usable features. More K2579 demos on the way!"

"Part [1-3] of my graduate film made for my degree at the Atrium (University of Glamorgan) Glitch is a film about circuit bending. Made by Myself and a small crew, featuring circuit bending talent from up and down the country. When I started this project I wanted to incorporate video bending into the film. I had no way to do this and found no one who could help me to do it before the deadline. For some reason one of my capture files corrupted... Not only did it corrupt but it mixed itself with footage from a previous shoot, so I incorporated it into the film. I like to think that there is a wizard in my computer. His name is Dr Tiddler and he loves the pussy."

"This is an absolutely magnificint time-waster! "Music" is produced by the positioning of the white squares in the matrix. Multiple squares in the same vertical colunm sound simultaneously like a chord. Timing is adjusted by moving squares sideways, as empty columns make no sound.
Sounds can easily be changed "on the fly" but I couldn't do that and hold the camera at the same time, just moving one or two squares can totaly change the "song".

HERE YOU GO: sorry this is not more exciting, and has no close-ups of the modules, but I did not want to delay yet another year. If you need the basics this should get you going.
This synth was purchased by Brandeis in 1968. When I got there in 1990 to rebuild the studios, I was very happy because my grad school work at the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center was mostly done with the same model Buchla (and lots and lots of tape splicing of course).
