EMS Synthi AKS - tweaking filter.
Published on Mar 5, 2015
"The Synthi & VSC3 are not as famous for their filters as say the Korg MS-20 LP or the Moog ladder, though I still like the sound.
Schematically, the Synthi ladder filter is very similar to the Moog ladder, except that Moog used transistors, and EMS used diodes. Another famous diode latter filter was made by Roland for their TB-303.
Basic Patch:
Osc 1 + Osc 2 ---Filter + Osc2 ---- channel 2
Osc 1 + Osc 2 ---Filter -----reverb ---- channel 1
The touching the keyboard triggers the Envelope which opens Channel 1's output.

TORINO SYNTH MEETING Set for June 7, 2015 - Call for Exhibitors
"TORINO SYNTH MEETING 2015
FIFTH EDITION June 7, 2015
Dear Exhibitor/Distributor/Producer
TheTORINO SYNTH MEETING(TSM) engine is back in gear!
After last year's success which saw the participation of 6 professional exhibitors, numerous presenters and private collectors, 1 workshop, 2 concerts, 2 venuesand an increasing number of visitors, the event dedicated to synthesizers and electronic musical instruments is back for the fifth edition and bigger than ever.
Strengthened by our experience accumulated in the previous years and by the positive feedback that we have received so far, our aim with this “Fifth” edition is to, through the help of the participants, create a meeting even richer in content both from the point of view of exhibition as well as debate and public discussion.
Considering the success of the fourth edition and its perfect synergy, this year's technical partner will once again beDISCONET.IT
Articles, videos and photos of all the previous editions are available on our website:
WHAT IS THE TORINO SYNTH MEETING?
TSMstarted in 2011 from an idea ofFrancesco Mulassano(Ultrasonica.it, Noisecollective.net, Urbanspaceman, Space Aliens From Outer Space, Tacuma Orchestra) together withLuca Torasso(Sandblasting, Noisecollective.net, Rustblade Records).
The idea was to create a day of meeting and trading between collectors, musicians and anyone passionate for the world of synthesizers and electronic musical instruments in general.
An appointment where one can see and try rare and unusual instruments as well as buy, sell and trade.
A meeting point for those who share the same passion and an occasion to give a space to new artists through a series of concerts and performances.
Starting with the fourth edition, it's the ideal stage for companies in the sector. The event is in fact open to producers, importers and distributors of musical hardware and software. These participants, identified asPro Exhibitors, will have an exhibition space dedicated to them and, upon request, a stage area for presenting their own products.
Participants of the previous editions have been:

"A great CV to trigger / gate module from Frequency Central. Two inputs (one unipolar and one bipolar) clock input to only sample the CV inputs with a clock or high gate signal and 8 outputs switchable between triggers or gates.
Hit like and subscribe for more videos every week and check the Patreon link below to see how you can support my channel.
http://www.patreon.com/divkid"
"CV to trigger/gate generator
-It analyses incoming CV and breaks it down into steps
-2 inputs each with attenuator, one is 0v to 5v, the other bipolar +/-5V
-each CV attenuator can also be used as offset if no CV is present
-the clock input makes the module just sample the CV inputs when a clock is present
It can make an analogue sequencer into a drum machine for example
Filter Pingssssssss!
work as Gate to Trigger converter
If the input is an ADSR you can patch further ADSRs to the outputs for complex envelopes ;-)
if the input is after touch cv you can use that to trigger envelopes
20 mA +12V
10 mA -12V
0 mA 5V
35 mm Depth
Available as an assembled module and as a DIY project."

"Fender Chroma Polaris (mark I). So, it is quite unique, very clever engineered machine.
Soundwise it is on the strong and hard territory, it sound even huge often. It based on solid sounding cem3374 as vco, and cem3372 as vcf with quite harshly and characterfull resonanse. Synth has very flexible architecture, which allows us to get really wide pallete of sounds. It can do all - thick basses, edgy leads, dark evolving pads, wild crazy fx. I know that this was developed by ARP engineers, and it comes to mind that it is some kind of "polyphonic odyssey", but with more harsh and brutal sound. No doubt it is one of the best FX machine ever build, its sound effects just mind blowing. It has MIDI, and one exellent implementation. You can easy drive in realtime all synth parameters by midi CC. Synth has 6 voice polyphony and even 6 part multitimbral, but only one mono audio out. It has freely splittable keyboard with velocity, you can play one sound in left hand and other in the right, or you can layer one sound on another for all keyboard range with 3-voice polyphony.
Synth is fully serviced, the main problem with its membrane buttons successfully solved, it will works for years."

Analog and Modular Synths in ONE-GO
Published on Mar 5, 2015 jakobsweb
"If ever you wondered (or not): This is what it looks like when I play around with my analog synths in my studio.
I prepared some chords and sequences/arpeggios in Ableton Live and used it as master clock sent to Analogue Solutions Oberkorn and 2 Doepfer A-155 sequencers. Those sequences I faded in via mixing desk - the Ableton parts are triggered by means of a Novation Launchpad. The whole Session was recorded in one go. I dare not say live - as the only synth I actually did play live here is the Korg MS20 mini.
Synthesizers and music tools used are:
Studio Electronics Code and SE1x, Analogue Solutions Leipzig-s and Telemark + Oberkorn, Macbeth modular and Micromac, Intellijel Shapeshifter + Dr. Octature filter + Make Noise Echophon, Endorphin.es Furtherrr + Aion filter + Synth Tech E560 Deflector Shield, Vermona DRM MKIII, Cwejman S1 mk2, Roland JX 8P, DSI Prophet 08, Moog Minitaur, Korg MS20 mini.
Basically this is a sonic walkthrough of most of my analog synthesizers (hmm - forgot to add the Moog Voyager ... well, next time).
Leave a comment if you like, rating positve would be highly appreciated if you actually do like it ;-) ...
Please keep in mind - this is not a professional recording but the doing of a true analog synth lover."
