Control Software Plugins like Hardware

The MP MIDI controller consists of an 1920 x 1080 IPS Touchscreen display, the enclosure, the controller board and the 32 endless rotary encoders.

There is a big gap in the way we control software plugins in the DAW (VST2/VST3/AU) and hardware. The creative process degrades when you are forced to do things in series with the mouse.

Designing a sound on a hardware synthesizer is much different than doing the same on a software synthesizer.

The notion of reaching out and grabbing the control is more natural, and moving two controls at the same time allows you to try things that are just not possible with the mouse.

Finally, we add vibrato using TiNRS Wobbler complex LFO."

Check out my workflow process as I arrange the songs and hook up the gear needed to multi track these to analog tape. Two extra non original modules: phaser and pano ( panning module ) are installed, the phaser works but I never really 'got it' as it doesn’t really seems to “phase”.

Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough by Michael Jackson

I was using the Vermona Perfourmer Mk2, fed with some sequences that I created inside Ableton Live.

The Vermona Perfourmer Mk2 is organized into the following parts:

- Oscillator 1 plays the bass
- Oscillator 2 and 3 are receiving some chord arpeggio and the melody at the same time, which leads to some jumpy and unpredictable interplay between those 2 sequences
- Oscillator 4 plays some spooky line, that is soaked into the Eventide Blackhole Reverb

During Mixing I added some Reverb, EQ and also some panning effect for the harmony/melody part."
