Catalyst Audio MIG series - synth modules with Soviet-era vacuum tubes

"We talk with David Small from Catalyst audio about the new MIG series of modules. They are based on vacuum tubes from Soviet aircraft The series.includes a VCO, VCF, VCA and mixer than can be used together for a full voice or independently to add a unique sound to a modular patch.

Another Vintage Analog Synth Jam

"A simple jam I made a while ago and uploaded to Instagram (@reuben0jones). Now on YouTube.

The Tempest, apart from doing drums, is clocking both the PolyEvolver making the digital sounding effects, and a Tanzbar which is simply clocking a sequence on the ARP Sequencer and sending CV/Gate to the Pro~One which is sending CV back to the ARP Sequencer so I can change key on the Pro~One's keyboard. At least I think that's how I did it. Korg MS10, Logan Vocalist and Octave Kitten 2 are played on top.

"This is a chair from the Moog synthesizer booth in the early 2000s at the Anaheim NAMM Show. I was given this years ago when working at the show, along with a Moog rug which I will be listing tomorrow.

It's in good condition, not perfect but not much use. Black cloth material with white stitching, wood chair folds down to collapse."

"This is an original P portable cabinet from Moog Music, originally a System 10 modular synthesizer. The modules have been removed to be placed into a larger system. This has the original power supplies and connectors supplied. I will also add in original screws and extras for your modules.

The front panel wiring has been disconnected from the original modules on the lower portion. But the wires have been labeled with tape for function."

The Dual - Stylophone CPM DS-2 + 2xSQ1 jam - Song-a-day 2025

"I've been wanting to upload something with the Stylophone CPM DS-2 for ages. It's a very fine bit of gear, mostly designed to make slowly evolving drone sounds. But luckily it's also equip with Eurorack compatible inputs meaning the drone oscillators can play tuneful stuff too. It also has an LFO with a reset function meaning it can be used for basic envelope duties.

I ended with 2 Korg SQ-1's after I bought my Ms20 Mini last year as John (Acrelid) offered it to me at a price I couldn't resist. So here they're clocked together so I can have 2 pitches going to the two different oscillators. There's only one LFO reset so the top SQ1 is used for gates, but the bottom one is set to a different length of steps which makes for some interesting stuff.

The Bastl Bestie and Volcas are doing bog standard stuff. All audio is passing through the reverb in the CPM DS-2"

As I am moving from 3D printing to aluminium, my old OpenScad scripts have been converted to Python. The new script is able to generate SVG for laser engraving, and STEP for 3D modeling and CNC milling, and STL pour mockup 3D printing.

"A piece created using the Monome Grid 128 and ‪@Ableton‬ Max for Live. Audio and synth sounds, stretched by a granular synthesizer, are layered together.

The samples include water sounds, synthesizer tones, vocals, and data noise. Using grainfields, the sounds are repeated and stretched to generate a unique character.

On the Monome, I adjust the sample playback and modify the playback positions.
