"We are really excited to share some news from Superbooth! Come to see us and our booth E240. First we are announcing two new eurorack modules - the ​Timber​ - dual waveshaper and the ​1983​ - MIDI to CV interface from the future with creative voice allocation and automatic tuning capabilities. Peter Edwards a.k.a. Casper Electronics will preview another Bastl collaboration on his ​forthcoming product line​ of Eurorack modules! We are finally shipping ​THYME​ effects processors and we have couple of new music releases at our ​Nona Records​ and the week after Superbooth we are hosting a touring ​festival​ from Prague to Brno.

Timber​ - dual waveform lumberjack is a flexible wave shaping module that can produce rich timbres by adding harmonics to any signal. It has 2 different wave shaping circuits that are controlled by the same parameters. Both shapers are classic Serge inspired designs that have been heavily modified and enhanced with a voltage controlled crossfader. The fader can be used to fade between the two shapers or either one and the clean input signal. Video introduction

1983​ is a polyphonic MIDI to CV interface with creative voice allocation and automatic tuning capabilities. There are 4 channels of CV and GATE outputs that can be configured to various layouts. Each channel is also able to LISTEN to the simple waveform of an oscillator and with a single press of the TUNE button it magically makes everything play in tune. The UPDATE and WINDOW inputs allow creative mangling of the voice allocation and open harmonic content to be animated in modular environment. The TRANSPOSE and GLIDE jacks open up the module for further creativity.

New product line​ of eurorack modules is coming soon from ​Casper Electronics​. At Superbooth Peter Edwards will preview his prototypes which are highly influenced by his signature gestural performances using experimental mixer techniques with loads of feedback and overdrive. Now with everything under complex CV control and fine-tuned for modular environments.

After a long wait we are finally shipping our beloved ​THYME​ - The Robot Operated Digital Tape Machine. This certainly is the most advanced instrument we have ever created and it opens huge sonic possibilities of real-time sound manipulation. We have released a new video.

"Berlin, November 2016: SUPERBOOTH17 at FEZ-Berlin

SUPERBOOTH is the first European trade fair for electronic musical instruments. The second annual edition will be held from April 20th-22nd, 2017 at a new location, FEZ-Berlin.

At its basis, SUPERBOOTH17 remains what made the last event so special in 2016: a colourful, lively, passionate organized trade fair, with workshops for beginners and advanced users, round tables and product presentations. In addition to the exhibition stands, there will once again be around 30 daily concerts and live performances with artistic representatives of all musical genres.

In the coming year, the focus will be on the encouragement of the competence and capabilities for the next generations. The FEZ-Berlin was built as the "Pionierpalast" during the GDR time and contains various specialized designed rooms, studios, lecture and concert halls which make the FEZ an ideal venue for this purpose. In addition to a flexible event space, there is an integrated modern technical equipment, allowing ease for planning.

As opposed to last years venue, with the well-organized design of the FEZ-building and land, the paths for visitors and exhibitors are shortened, as the exhibitor areas, studios, workshop rooms and food performance court are closer together and spread barrier-free over three floors. With the rooftop restaurant, several bars and larger outdoor area, there are endless opportunities for a communicative gathering. Of course, again we will provide our culinary mile, where you can enjoy a wide range of food and drinks while listening to experimental sounds from the Sea Side Stage.

Through workshops, lectures, performances and the fair, SUPERBOOTH17 has set out the goal of providing young people and inexperienced users with specialized expertise. For this purpose, the entire lower foyer and outdoor areas will be freely accessible and offer individual workrooms, educational stands and outside facilities for meeting, eating and experiencing a high level of live performances.

"We've made you a little something, and you can build it at Superbooth 2021! A lot of friends online and offline have asked us about TausenddB, the little four channel preamp eurorack module we used to record our piezo videos with, so we've made it into a DIY Kit. And we will premiere it at Superbooth 2021 in Berlin, where you can build it with us in a workshop!

Tausend dB was originally designed as a small run of helper modules for space explorers, a public audio installation at Reading FringeFestival 2019 and in collaboration with visualists WARPED TYPE.

It was inspired by Tom Whitwell's MusicThing Microphonie and Mutable Instruments Ears, but we needed a different set of features: more channels, because we had a lot of contact mics, so we packed four channels into 6HP; mute switches, because we wanted to be able to act quickly when things get out of hand; and a secret row of expander pin headers in the back, so we could boost CV and audio from our favourite gear and devboards with jumper wires: Bastl Kastl, Korg Volca Modular, Electrosmith Daisy, Teensy and Arduino.

Jumpers in the back let you select whether you want to filter DC offset.

"At Superbooth 2024 we caught up with Lambda Synthetics and Ward showed us the latest iteration of the PolyPulse. A lot has been going on with the PolyPulse since Superbooth 2023, work has been done on the firmware, the Kickstarter campaign launched in November 2023, the first batch of PolyPulses have been financed, and Ward told us that they would start building them as soon as they get home from Superbooth!

PolyPulse has a 5-track algorithmic sequencer, a polyphonic sound engines, a customizable audio effects chain and morphing touchpad. The algorithmic sequencer allows you to easily create long evolving rhythms and melodies. With the touchpads you can fluently morph between four presets per track to create expressive and dynamic changes in sound and texture.
