Spectral Audio Cyclus3 16-step

Googlish: "As the compact stands out is the step sequencer Cyclus3 of Spectral Audio out from the crowd of its competitors. Although he may have to offer, unfortunately it only eight Eingabepotis relatively quick edit once you understand how to toggle between menus and Venzago. The tracks themselves can modulate each other in record mode, any trace of the Midi are included and keeps your original timing. All tracks can then be in your play at different speeds simultaneously. Unfortunately, the resolution of a pot-revolution in direct touch input 127, which means is that rather delicate must be rotated to make a certain sound.
Eight lanes sequencer with up to 16 steps, 112 Patterns, 30 Songs, complex relationships among the patterns can be edited, high resolution 32nd. ..
MIDI IN, MIDI OUT, IN for external power supply 6 to 12V AC or DC, backlit two-line display"

Last Units of Gotharman's deMoon

"We are selling out our very last Gotharman deMoon synthesizer units now! This gotharman_demoon_beispiel should give you some impressions about whats possible with it. We did not buy the additional available updates for the extra money already, we just made the units extra cheap for you to afford it yourselves.
By the way.. the inventor of this brilliant little synth from denmark also designed the stepsequencer Cyclus3 that has been realized by a swiss company called spectral audio. One very last unit of the cyclus and two quite good racksynths called Neptune2 from our demo/support rack are selling out now, too. Please ask for availability."
ROLAND Super JX 10

via this auction
"Here is a vintage 1986 Roland JX10 MEGA synth !! It is one of the greatest analogue synths ever produced ! Extremely flexible...It can operate as 2 independant 6 voice JX8P's or as one monster 12 voice !! It also features velocity and aftertouch !...you can't say that about the Prophets and Memorymoog's !
These have the best string sounds of any synth ! ...the sounds are plastered all over George Michaels hits of the late Eighties !....silky smooth with plenty of depth and punch.... It is a jack of all trades and has the best key bed implemented into any analogue synthesizer...it feels amazing !"

EDP WASP SYNTH
YouTube via istct6 | September 06, 2010
"This is an auction for my trusty old wasp synth that I bought back in 1981. Sadly, like nearly all wasps, the old plastic case became brittle and damaged over time until it became more duck tape than case. As such I have built my own case using pictures of the original WASP SPECIAL with a few modifications of my own; the speaker for instance is not included on the WASP SPECIAL. The sound, however, remains unchanged..."

"Analog Metropolis Since 2002 I have been developing, building and manufacturing over 100 different analog synthesizer modules. A variety of legacy circuits from the past have been recast with modern high quality components, as well as modern cutting edge designs which transform the modular synthesizer into a hybrid landscape of analog and digital electronics. These analog designs are all branded as Analog Metropolis.
These web pages describe the various designs that I have built, along with sound samples, accurate measurements of their sonic ability and some design information which Synth DIYers may find useful. I have also documented the original designs and history of the analog synths I have cloned, which makes interesting reading in its own right. "

The Minimogue VA with the Gristleizer

"This is the Minimogue VA. It's a lead, FX and bass synth just like the real Minimoog; the first 3 rows of knobs represent the original Minimoog. The only additions here is a button for retrig and legato. The original Minimoog is always set to legato. Also there are sliders for fine tuning that is not present on the Minimoog, but these works just like the pitch knob, only that it is more sensitive. It's just there to help you, because the Minimoog sounds best when it is almost in tune, but not 100%. Tuning plays a big part in the Minimoog sound. Also release in the envelope generators is added. The upper section is where you create sounds.
The last row of knobs represent new features that were added that is not present on the original Minimoog. These features are midi control, oscillator sync, LFO, autopan, overdrive, chorus and a delay section that you can sync to host BPM. The LFO has 3 functions. At low level settings it is intended to simulate the small tuning and instabilities in an original Minimoog. At high level settings it simulates the tweaking of a knob so that you can focus on the playing. The third function is to give oscillatorsync pitch variations to work with. It also syncs to host BPM.
Partially hidden is the Gristleizer patch for the Pure Data program."
Korg MS20 & Yohda's giant Eurorack modular synth

"A Simple patch with Korg Ms20 analog semi-modular synth and a fuck'in giant eurorack modular. As far as i remember, the Track and Hold of the MS20 was cloking the Plan B Model 11. Took with my Camera (and through the internal mic so as usual sorry for the bad quality). We have a lot fun every sunday with these beast. Enjoy !

bindubba5 demo #2
YouTube via cirtcele | September 05, 2010
"Slower clocking than in demo 1, hopefully gives a better idea of what the sequencer is doing. The clock2 input is initially patched into one of the gate outputs, then is shifted to a Wogglebug stepped output and back to a bindubba5 gate near the end. The bindubba5 CV outputs are fed to a CGS VCO and CGS49 twin CMOS filter. One filter is in LPF mode, the other in HPF. Audio and video recorded on a Nikon coolpix (awful camera - don't buy one). Sounds pretty raw but a lot of that is due to the distortion pots on the filters turned up to max.

Future Sound Systems Decade Counter DC1 Chaos Demo
YouTube via futureimage | September 06, 2010
"Here's a demo of a chaotic patch I made using:
-Doepfer LFO A-145
-2x Future Sound Systems Decade Counter DC1
-CGS30 Bandpass Filter
Various waveforms from the LFO are sent to the two Decade Counters which reset and disable each other as they process the incoming audio. One of the step outputs is then sent to the Bandpass Filter at the end of the signal chain. The chaotic quality of the sound is given by the fact that the LFO is resetting itself."

"BOMBsessions: Xeno & Oaklander
By Clinton Krute
The music of the Brooklyn-based group Xeno & Oaklander seems to come from an earlier time, when the beeps and whirs of the analog synthesizer began to creep up from the underground into the mainstream of pop music (or drag it down to the depths, if you prefer). The late ’70s and early ’80s synth music from which their work draws was a reaction to the sense of the alienation brought about by living in world that was becoming more and more digital. Sean McBride and Liz Wendlbo, the duo behind the project, still find these sounds relevant today, in both theme and means. Xeno & Oaklander excavate a forgotten music, re-imagining its forms for the present with a defiant and romantic nostalgia. Their debut album Sentinelle, out now on Wierd records, is a testament to their skill at “shaping electricity” and is overflowing with icy drones, oscillating tones, and excellent (and danceable) songwriting.
After an epic performance of “Preuss” (a title taken from the particularly noisy auto body shop adjacent to their studio), McBride and Wendelbo sat down with BOMBsessions in their Williamsburg “synth museum,” to discuss the poetics of their songwriting, the relation of their vocal lines to Derrida’s Glas, and moving contemporary music forward by digging into the past. Catch Xeno & Oaklander on March 5th at the Cameo in Brooklyn before they leave for a European tour.
