via Monotron Mods "As cool as the Korg Monotron is, wouldn’t it be nice if it could be controlled externally?
I can modify your Monotron to accept cv/gate signals so it can be controlled directly by an analogue sequencer, or through midi via a cv/gate converter.
You’ll get an external box with a seperate cable (as obviously the Monotron is too small to include all the parts) that can be taken off so your Monotron can be used as before. it's a standard S-video cable, so you can replace it. both the box and the monotron have 4-pin DIN input connectors.
The box includes inputs for: -gate signal (5V) -CV signal for oscillator pitch -Cv signal for filter -a switch for filter tracking -a potmeter/ trimmer to adjust pitch cv The box is connected to the Monotron with a 4-pin mini-DIN cable..."
"I was putting a sound card in the slot of the Kawai K1 and found this "Tamborine". But to me it looked like a bell of a sleigh. So the idea of a little christmas song was born. I put some Skoulaman bell sound to it and the chords of the Roland Juno and the Korg Lambda. Also some lead of the Moog Little Phatty. It is not a masterpeace of electronic music but just some fun. The foto's are token around my home (The Netherlands, 7 meters below sealevel) and in Switzerland (quit some more meters above sealevel).
Enjoy the music and pics and for all Youtubers a Wonderful Christmas.
"The machine is 6 voices and come equipped with full MIDI capabilities. It can function in Mono, Stereo, or even as a 6 voice multi-timbral monosynth. It also has CV/Gate capabilities and can be used as C/V to MIDI converter for up to 6 channels of your old gear. The modulation and routing capabilities on this thing are incredible."
"The Waldorf XT features a comprehensive set of two oscillators that are based on wavetables. Each wavetable features a multitude of different sounds thus allowing for a timbral variety unlike standard analogue synth or romplers. The user can sweep through these wavetables to create moving timrbal animation that yields results unlike any other synth. There is also a noise generator and ring modulator on board as well as a throughly comprehensive filter section which features the following filter types: 6/12/24 db Low pass & High Pass, Frequency Modulation Filter, Sin (x)-Low Pass, Dbl LP/HP, 24/12 db Band Pass, Band Stop, and a Waveshaper algorithm.
If modulation is what you are after, then look no further as the XT is packed with a fully fledged modulation matrix that allows even the modulation of modulation sources! There are several LFO's with full comprehensive shapes including noise and sample and hold as well as a function and modification generator similar to the Kurzweil K2000 series of synthesizers. Also on offer is a set of envelopes that can be routed to various modulation inputs as well as the usual envelopes for the amplifier and filter.
If that's not enough, there is a comprehensive and programmable arpeggiator with 16 steps and 128 patterns as well as a comprehensive FX section which can happily replaces some of your outboard processors as it sounds very good. However, unlike offerings from Access and other synth manufacturers, the Waldorf needs no FX to sound full, lush, and recordable."

"Roland RS-09, version 1, Organ/String Synthesizer.
Very good working and cosmetic condition. All discrete analog circuits generates a raw and organic fat analog sound.
The organ and string sections can be played simultaneously or individually with the famous Roland ensemble/chorus for a fantastic wide stereo effect that could also be used to process external sounds.
Used by The Cure, The Horrors and in many other New Wave bands."

"When I took another Kawai keyboard apart some years ago I didn't really think that I was going to find use for the power supply and amplifier PCB. But I saved it and this turned out to be a strike of luck. Because later I got this Kawai keyboard and one night this exact part broke down. So I could just replace the PCB and then it worked again.
The other instruments on this recording is Mattel Synsonic Drums toy drum machine and Elka EP-8 organ. I don't know who originally sang this song. But I know it in a 1975 version by Barbie Benton."

"The Therenect is a virtual Theremin for the Kinect controller. It defines two virtual antenna points, which allow controlling the pitch and volume of a simple oscillator. The distance to these points can be controlled by freely moving the hand in three dimensions or by reshaping the hand, which allows gestures that should be quite similar to playing an actual Theremin.
In this new demo we demonstrate the improved handling of the Therenect, getting closer to a common Theremin playing style. This updated version also synthesizes the original Theremin waveform as well as alternative sine, saw and square waves. In addition to an improved pitch scaling this version introduces discrete musical scales such as the chromatic, major and pentatonic scale, which automatically tune the instrument.
This application still needs several enhancements before it will be released to the public. The overall stability of the hand tracking and the modeling of the subtle hand and finger gestures still need some major improvements in order to simulate the behavior of an original Theremin more satisfactory.
This musical instrument has been developed by Martin Kaltenbrunner at the Interface Culture Lab at the University of Art and Industrial Design in Linz, Austria. The software has been developed using the Open Frameworks and OpenKinect libraries."

"Two CMOS chips interact to form this great 16 step control voltage sequencer. The CD4029 makes this more than your average Baby10. It's a crazy high performance thingy with a difference.

Hope, quality of the sound better on www.myspace.com/gramdaddy. Cheers. Hope to inspire you.
There he goes -- one of God's own prototypes -- a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live and too rare to die We are all wired into a survival trip now. No more of the speed that fueled that 60's. That was the fatal flaw in Tim Leary's trip. He crashed around America selling "consciousness expansion" without ever giving a thought to the grim meat-hook realities that were lying in wait for all the people who took him seriously... All those pathetically eager acid freaks who thought they could buy Peace and Understanding for three bucks a hit. But their loss and failure is ours too. What Leary took down with him was the central illusion of a whole life-style that he helped create... ... a generation of permanent cripples, failed seekers, who never understood the essential old-mystic fallacy of the Acid Culture: the desperate assumption that somebody... or at least some force -- is tending the light at the end of the tunnel. Remember, if you have any trouble you can always send a telegram to the Right People."

"Just playing around with various effects, synth and drum sounds on the EF-303. Apologies for quality of performance but it's more a demonstration. The music playing is Aphex Twin."
"Dark Energy is a monophonic stand-alone synthesizer with USB and Midi interface. The sound generation and all modulation sources are 100% analog, only the USB/Midi interface contains digital components. Dark Energy is built into a rugged black metal case with wooden side plates. High quality potentiometers with metal shafts are used and each potentiometer is fixed to the case (no wobbly shafts and knobs). The distance between the controls is a bit wider compared to A-100 modules and knobs with vintage look are used."
"This is my take on what iPad instruments need to do to be playable. If you see some of my users doing non-constructive criticisms of other instruments (specifically yours! :-) ), please don't take it too seriously. I don't do that myself, and it bothers me. Some of Mugician's evolution was guided by Jordan Rudess' Morphwiz, Roger Linn's Linnstrument, and the many things I learned working with Leon Gruenbaum's Samchillian (my Xstrument instrument is a derivative of it)"

"In this video I patch up all the filters I have in series to get the steepest slope low pass filter possible, 72dB! It gets pretty meaty already at 36dB but 72 sound like it could kill people! The filters are two synthesizers.com Q107 (gotta lov'em), an STG Soundlabs Post Lawsuit Lopass Filter and an STG Soundlabs Mankato.
6 minute audio jam available at:"
72dB Jam by 7thDanSound "I patched together all the filters I have in my modular to one meaty big 72dB slope mother of a low pass filter! I bet you could kill people with the bass from this patch. This recording is a few minutes of playing around with the patch, changing the cutoff (of all filters at once) and modulating the cutoff with an LFO and an envelope. I also raise the resonance of the individual filters here and there.
I tried feeding back the output of the patch back into itself to get resonance through the whole chain but to no avail... Any one know what I did wrong?"
via Nova Musik "New from Access!!! The new TI 3 Keyboard. The new Access TI 3 is now compatible with both Mac and PC. It can be used with VST, AU and RTAS. 104 non-velocity sensitive keys can be used and programmed to macros for any soft synth or recording program. They can even be used to type up those reports that are due at your job tomorrow. Shouldn't you be doing those now instead of looking at this? These are finely crafted in China by the 1,000's by machines. Never mind the Dell sign. It is there for cosmetic purposes. We liked it ok." Early NAMM report?
as you might have seen, we have a great special in the Access Music Store this weekend: 20% discount on everything, including Virus TI synths, soft bags and other accessories. now the reason why i bring this up on the forum is a comment posted to our facebook page. we were ask if we are clearing stock and make room for a new Virus TI which we will announce on NAMM in january. the answer is: no. the virus TI line will not be discontinued, in fact there will be software feature updates in the future - details i cannot disclose at the time being but we will do everything to make you smile
YouTube via LewisFtw | March 24, 2009 | Fantom G interface video. "I decided to make a short instructional video on making a lead like that from the Roland JD800 with the Fantom G.
I know I rushed through it, my playing is shite, and I know I made a lot of mistakes in my speech. My presentational skills are awful and I get really stuttery and confused when i'm on camera, so deal with it. The only way to improve is to keep trying! So anyone who just wants to tell me I suck, I know."
"demonstrating in this short video the potentials of a huge multi touch screen as the ipad , the app used is the korg electribe, a touch screen reproduction of the legendary original analogue machine, the result is pretty cool considering the small time spent on it.. no jailbreak required."
