"What is PixiVisor
PixiVisor is a revolutionary tool for audio-visual experiments. Simple and fun, cross-platform application with unlimited potential for creativity!
It consists of two parts: Transmitter and Receiver.
Transmitter converts the video (static 64x64 image or 10FPS animation) to the sound, pixel by pixel (progressive scan). So you can listen the sound of your image. But the main function of the Transmitter is to transmit the signal to the receiving devices.
Receiver converts the sound (from microphone or Line-in input) back to the video. You can set the color palette for this video, and record it to animated GIF file.
Key features:
file formats supported by Transmitter: JPEG, PNG, GIF (static and animated);
real-time video export to animated GIF;
64 predefined color palettes;
iOS: iTunes File Sharing;
iOS: Wi-Fi Export/Import (in the File menu of the Transmitter);
more functions in the next PixiVisor updates...
Examples of use:
wireless Lo-Fi video transmission over audio;
video signal transmission through audio cable; you can then modify that signal by some mixers or audio FX processors;
VJing;
sound visualization;
save any sound to animated GIF;
hide some images and animation in your music;
searching for hidden messages in the ambient noise; EVP;
something else; reveal it first!"
Available for Android, Windows, Linux & OSX. iOS coming soon.
Update 2/18/2013: PixiVisor for iOS is now available:

MMTA Spring SYNTHFEST 2013 Coming to Seattle on March 16
The MMTA Spring Synth Fest 2013 is scheduled for March 16, 2013 at Shoreline Community College just north of Seattle. You can find a map of the campus here (building 800).
There will be four rooms this year:
The Petting Zoo where you can check out gear brought by people attending the event.
The Performance / Telepresentation Room for scheduled performances and presentations.
The Trade Show Room where manufacturers will be able to give demos on their gear. This is similar to The Petting Zoo but will likely be a quieter setting where you can go one on one with individual manufacturers.
Jam Session Room where people can perform with their gear.
Additional details will follow as we get closer to the date. We wanted to get the word out now for those who need to make travel plans.
You can find the Mostly Modular Trade Association on Facebook here.
See the MMTA SYNTHFEST label below for pics and videos from prior events.
If you are a manufacturer and would like to present at the event, send me email: matrixsynth@gmail.com.

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
"For sale is this vintage early-1980s PPG Wave 2.2 analog/digital hybrid synthesizer. This particular one owner example is in very excellent original condition and was professionally modded when new with the MIDI upgrade. This extremely rare synth was made in Germany by Palm Products GmbH and is regarded as being one of the finest synths to incorporate digital samples controlled by an analog interface. The Wave 2.2 is considerably more rare than its Wave 2.3 successor, and though they appear to be similar, are actually quite different. Synth enthusiasts and keyboard connoisseurs alike will both recognize just how rare this synth is, as very few of these units were manufactured, so don't hesitate because this opportunity does not come along very often.
This PPG Wave 2.2 incorporates digital samples of wavetables while utilizing analog VCA, as well as analog, VCF sections. The Wave 2.2 also features; an oscillator capable of generating over 2,000 single-cycle 8-bit analog waveforms, a digital control panel with a more complex editor than previous versions, MIDI implementation, and an 8-track sequencer utilizing pitch automation, loudness, filter cutoff, waveforms and much more.
Originally inspected by PPG authorized service technician Ed Miller of syntheisizerrepair.com when first imported, this synth will include a complementary service and clean bill of health from Miller himself.
Used by David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Stevie Wonder, and an ever-expanding list comprised of the best recording artists of all time, this is a magnificent instrument is worthy of the best studios, as well as, the ownership of even the most accomplished synth collectors."

"This is a perfect condition Moog Rogue from my recording studio. It has been regularly serviced by Analog Lab in NYC, one of the best places for analog synths. The synth was regularly used in our productions. Although we have several other great synths at hand, this great little monster was my often appreciated solution for fat basses and airy melodies. It is super simple to use and is a inexpensive way to create those great Moog sounds. The synth can be seen and tested at Talkin' Rocket Studio in NYC. EDP Wasp in Mint Collector's Condition w/ Elby MIDI & Box
Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
"EDP Wasp in Mint collector's condition, with Elby MIDI fitted and box
MIDI is inside. The MIDI in socket replaced one of the Link sockets so no extra holes.
There is also a filter cutoff CV input. This comes out the cab of the case on a flying lead - the reason is again, so no holes drilled.
There are no marks or scratches, it looks new! Which is unusual. Normally the keyboard graphic is worn, and the case split around the screw holes.
Comes with original box, which is now so old it's deteriorated!"

Atari Video Music C-240 with Lars Larsen (LZX Switched On) Mods
via this auction
The some modifications that make this unit 1000x more handy than an original:
Replaced the terrible flimsy wall wart power supply with a new standard 3 prong
Replaced the coaxial output that required RF demodulation to be usable with a standard component (yellow rca) out
Replaced the rca audio input with standard 1/4" input
The other modifications are a bit more esoteric:
Extra Inputs
Atari Fuzz Chip output
Knobs and switches to control video grids
Someone else wrote all this stuff up and provided a youtube link, and the description is proper:
'This is a limited edition video music modified by Switched On Music Electronics in Austin Texas. Switched On modified 10 of these last year, adding a composite video output (NTSC), 1/4" audio inputs and outputs, a fuzz output (audio from the Atari's built-in distortion circuit=insane FUZZ), and waveform mixer controls for the comparator. With the mods, the Video Music can function as a video synthesizer with no audio input at all--this gives you quite a bit of control over color and shape. It is difficult to achieve this sort of functionality without spending thousands on new LZX system.'"

AMSynths AM8705 Dual ADSR Based on Roland 100m & System 700
Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
"This module is a Dual ADSR similar to the envelope generators in the Roland 700 and 100M modular analog synthesizers.
The AM8705 contains two identical traditional ADSR format envelope generators with variable Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release.
The module uses 30mm travel slide potentiometers and has toggle switches to switch between 2 different set of timings - slow or fast.
Detailed Description
This module contains two envelope generators each with 3 timed stages: Attack, Decay, Release.
The Sustain control adjusts the level to which the Decay time reduces to. Both ADSR’s are triggered together by an internal gate signal from the standard Doepfer 16 pin bus, or a front panel push button (MANUAL GATE), or individually via a gate signal connected to the front panel Gate jacks (GATE1, GATE2).
The standard duration of each stage is 10 seconds, but each ADSR can be switched using the TIME toggle switch into a fast timing 1/10 the duration.
This enables fast envelopes to be generated. Two identical control voltages are available for each ADSR, making it easy to patch an ADSR into both a VCF and VCA simultaneously.
The gate signal is displayed for each ADSR via a dedicated LED. Each ADSR generates a control signal from 0V to +10V."

The seller also has a Tiptop Audio Z3000 listed here.
