Terratec Komplexer - Freeware Wavetable Tool

via sequencer.de (Googlish here). [Note a new version is available, see the second update further below]

"Is ne mixture of Waveterm and Fairlight including Lightpen - Operation ;-) , mit der man Transwaves für Ensoniq Sampler malen oder resynthetisieren kann. With which one can paint Trans Waves for Ensoniq Samplers resynthetisieren or. Version 2 wird auch noch ein HQ - Stereo - Morphing enthalten, wenn ich's dann mal fertig kriege. Version 2 will also contain a HQ - Stereo - Morphing, if I then get ready times. WTMAKER ist quasi Abfall... WTMAKER is virtually waste ...

Viel Spaß/Frust bei der Erstellung eigener Komplexer - Wavetables. Have fun / frustration when creating your own Complex - wavetables."

Update via matgrk in the comments:

"WTMAKER is 16/32 Bit OS only

- put the EXE into an own directory
- put a WAV (MONO, 44,1 kHz, 16BIT, >0.5 sec) into this directory and rename it "input.wav"
- doubleclick onto the wtmaker.exe
- if operation is successful, it writes a file named "userwt.wt"

I'm sorry for the circumstances, but wtmaker was only written for my personal use in less than 2 hours (I needed a wavetable ... *lol*). If there's a need for such a prgram, I'll write a more usable version the next days.

The picture above is from another program I'm working on. WTMAKER is a kind of batch utility, wich uses some code from the program you see on the picture.

Sorry for my poor english. :-)

Mathias Gurk
www.mathias-gurk.de.vu"

Update2: via matgrk in the comments: "A new version of wtmaker is available:

http://home.arcor.de/blacktomcat666/allg/WTMAKER.EXE

Now you can drag and drop WAVs (16bit,44,1 kHz,Mono,>0.5 sec) onto the exe. You don't have to rename the files. Futher the *.WT file has the same name as the input file. I hope this changes improve the usability. "

KORG PE 1000 Poly Ensemble K4 Analog Synthesizer

via this auction
"This fascinating synth was produced back in the 70s, and its sound and feature set were no doubt quite sophisticated for its day. The PE 1000 has a number of presets, but the real fun begins when you stray from the path and start tweaking the synth patches in real time. A number of parameters are available, such as Attack, Decay, Sustain, and Waveform mode ; while these may seem fundamental and crude by today's standards, they are capable of some respectable sound mangling and warpage. This synth just oozes a 70s vibe, and has an organic character that is difficult to emulate in spite of its supposed simplicity."

A contribution by Palle Dahlstedt to the Sounding December project, soundingdecember.com.

"Calder asked Duchamp, "What should I call these things." Duchamp replied, "Mobiles," this was a French pun, which meant motive and motion. Jean Paul Sartre described the mobile as," The mobile is a little private celebration, an object defined by its movement and having no other existence. A mobile does not suggest anything. It captures genuine living movements. Mobiles have no meaning, they are, that is all." (from articons.co.uk/calder.htm)""

Roland MC-8 Factory Demo Program - Bach Invention

YouTube via peahix
"This is another of the demo programs provided in the Roland MC-8 manual. This time it's a Bach Invention, played back on a Roland SH-101 synth (not seen in the video). The first part of the video is specifically designed to bore you with stunning footage of me entering the channel 1 CV data for the first 3 pages of the 10-page score. Be thankful that I didn't decide to include the entire CV/Step/Gate data entry process for the entire score. In the 2nd part of the video, you hear the entire mixed piece, played back in sync with the MC-8 displaying the CV data for channel 1.

For more info about the MC-8, and to see high-res scans of the score & program data sheets for this piece, please visit http://www.rolandmc8.wordpress.com"

If you already saw the previous one there is nothing new. This video demonstrates the functionality of the MFOS Multi-Function Module (MFM). It has a linear lag processor, an RC lag processor, two 3 input DC voltage mixers with bias control and normal and inverted outputs and lastly a voltage meter with +/-1V, +/-5V, +/-10V ranges. It's a "Swiss Army Knife" module and you can use all or part of it in your application. "

No oscillators involved in this, technically...self-oscillating Borg Filter sequenced by MFB Seq-02. Watch the volume...I'll get better at setting the line in eventually."

the anti-osc workout from J Stick on Vimeo.

"Put on your leg-warmers. Starts with the triangle out of a lone AO, then adds in the waveshaping of the LIN and EXP knobs with nothing plugged in. Then moves on to the MAYHEM out, which is a gnarly square/saw blend. MAYHEM is also put through the LIN/EXP/INIT WAV paces with nothing plugged in, is then tenderly raped by a Maths in a few different ways, and finally is FM'd at audio rate by the second AO, first going from the triangle out, then mayhem out, and finally the Maths hammers the WAVE ENV of the modulating AO a bit.

Five-step caveman sequence provided by Doepfer A-161 dorq seq, clocked by Bubblesound uLFO.

This is being run through a Borg by force of habit, but it's not bastardizing the signal in any way. However, when you close it down on these complex AO waveforms...pure drummy goodness. As you can see in my other vids. Whee!

Wear earplugs."
