"Synth Jam using only a monophonic analog synth, the EMW Micro Modular, being sequenced by the KORG Seq-1, and the drum machine Roland TR-08.

The Sequence A from SQ-1 is used to play the main notes with Oscillator 1. Sequence B is playing the bass with OSC 2. The modulation which makes the timbre more aggressive is the Sample & Hold modulating the filter, using noise as the audio source."

"In a staggering 45 minute rundown, check out and compare the differences between the analog/digital hybrid Korg Prologue, and the virtual analog Roland System-8.

Both designed as an homage to the vintage era of analog synthesizers, there is a lot of comparability between these two great synths. Both feature subtractive synthesis with single LFOs, digital oscillator functions, and multi-effects systems. Neither feature aftertouch, which is a bit of a burn in my opinion, but that's entirely forgivable considering the awesome sounds these bad boys are capable of thanks to their unique options

So pour a big cup of coffee, or roll up something sweet-- cuz it's gonna be a long one.

Whats your preference... The multi-engine digital oscillators on the Prologue or the FM sounds and crazy filters of the System-8?"

Solid walnut wood sides were added and a CV kit installed professionally. The only blemish is a missing traveler knob, otherwise this unit is as good as it gets for this synth. Badges are without a scratch and all pots are smooth and have no scratches either. Has been kept in a smoke free studio and is ready to be loved and taken care of by someone else. You will not find a better maintained Prophet V out there as this was my baby.

Fuse, fuse holder assembly, backup battery, 2114 RAM IC have all been replaced. Power supply completely rebuilt. Pratt-Read keyboard restored. I have the repair records to show precisely what work was done and by whom."

"A short evening analog ambient session With Eurorack Modular System - 3 oscillators + 3 filters including AJH Synth MiniMod & Gemini Filter.

3 VCO's, 2 being controlled by a dual 8-step sequencer, into the Gemini filter in Dual mode, modulated by the DH-ADSR in retrigger mode, white noise into Sonic XV and pink noise into the Transistor Ladder Filter for the two additional sounds, triggered manually with the Dual Contour Generator.

Recorded into AUM on an iPad with EOS2 reverb.

· 9 Instruments
Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Lo Tom, Hi Tom, Hi Hat, Clap, Rim, Crash and Ride. All instruments are polyphonic and have single outputs. From the hi-hat section, it's short 8-bit samples that are played back with an analogue envelope. The sample flash memory is now bigger than ever: there are 31 samples per instrument.

· Real analog tone generation
for BD, SD, LT and HT with digital, dH storable / midi controllable control of all parameters. In order to influence the analog sound generation as little as possible, all D / A converters have been adapted to the parameters discrete and built into the circuits - in proven XBase / AirBase technology.

· 16 Knobs
To edit the sounds, there is an infinite rotary encoder for each analog parameter that adjusts the sounds without skipping or cumbersome turning around. Each knob has a 3-color LED that indicates which parameters to edit for the selected instrument.

· Improved kick drum
The most famous sound of the XBase09 was and is its kick. We added another parameter and gave the "hottest bass drum in the world" (original quote of some users) a compression value that allows you to continuously adjust between 909-moderate ultra-compressed envelope or 808-typical exponential curve.

· Analog Tom Toms
There are now also extremely good sounding and widely editable analog tom toms as in the AirBase99.

· Internal step sequencer
The XBASE 999 has already installed the ingenious step sequencer.

"Sorry I'm late - life tends to be busy when you're juggling two bands and a side project. Here's the Yamaha CS-5, an affordable mono-synth from the late 70's. It's a short video because it's a pretty basic synth. If you come across one in working order, it's cool for your bread and butter mono sound and has a cool industrial look to it. I threw in a fun surprise at the end. Bigger and better synths are coming up soon-ish. :)"

"Percussion and bass sounds presented on two copies of Nord Drum 3p by Clavia. Most of the sounds I modelled myself thanks to quite complex synthesis you can find on the 3p. Either recodred from a background or directly through audio cables the 3p sounds very dynamic and interesting. I am not a professional drummer, so excuse me playing the percussion. Have fun!"
