"Up for bid is a Hammond 102100 Analog Synth. Every key works,every preset works. The volume,tuning and wind sliders work.

Of the 7 button banks, all of them work,electronically speaking, but Tone filters #1,2,5,6 and 7 have to be held down to engage. The springs are properly catching. The same is true of #1-7 of the “Filter rise& fall” speed section.

In total, 12 of the 49 buttons will not stay depressed on their own."

Vintage Serviced Oberheim OB-8 Synthesizer Keyboard w/MIDI

"Here's a freshly serviced Oberheim OB-8 that sounds awesome and is available at a great price! The OB-8 is the vintage Oberheim that people should get. All the kinks worked out from the OB-X and OB-Xa, but still that same killer sound! This one has what appears to be a vintage copy of the factory MIDI. Video coming later today.

The previous owner installed my Synthchaser Power Supply Rebuild kits and Ultimate Voice Board Service Kits, but couldn't get all the gremlins worked out of the synth. I acquired it, repaired any issues, and calibrated it to factory spec. I've also replaced the bushings on the keybed, and installed my OB-8 Battery Eliminator, which as the name implies, saves your presets without the need for batteries which would eventually run out. The synth is in reasonable condition, with some damage/cracking to the side panels, typical scratching and wear on the case, and the cap of the collet knob (not the knob itself) for the modulation rate pot on the bender assembly has been replaced with a 3D printed part. Hard to spot it, but I'm all about full disclosure.

Service included:

· All trimmers replaced with multi-turn trimmers and all trimmers calibrated.
· New control board to voice board ribbon cable
· New pot board connector cables
· Power supply rebuilt with Synthchaser power supply rebuild kit (new beefier bridge rectifiers, new filter capacitors)
· Synthchaser OB-8 Battery Eliminator installed - no need to replace the battery in this synth, ever!
· New key bushings (this is an early OB-8 with the Pratt Reed keybed and not the noisy Panasonic keybed)

Due to the current situation, I'm not doing local pickup, shipping within the US only. The synthesizer will be professionally packed by the UPS store and insured for the full purchase price. This is a vintage electronic item, so all sales are as-is and final. But visit the Synthchaser YouTube channel and rest assured that a high quality job was done on this synthesizer by the expert on Oberheim Synthesizers."

"The Q156 module combines a signal comparator, LFO, VCA and AC Mixer/Coupler in a single-wide module.
The Comparator section compares two signals and produces a gate output when the + signal is higher than the - signal. A single signal can also be compared to a fixed voltage set by the knob. Produce random gates, pulsing gates, convert audio into gates, create effects that apply to only a certain range of notes, and so much more.
The second section is an AC coupler and mixer. Remove DC voltage from a signal, convert gates from the comparator section or from the Q173 Gate Math module into audio, and mix signals.

The third section is a general purpose utility LFO. Triangle and square wave outputs are available. Patch the triangle wave into the comparator section to create PWM.

The bottom section is a simple VCA. Patch the LFO into the VCA to create tremolo, or use an envelope to create decaying vibrato - the possibilities are endless.

Here is one of the rare works from a major motion picture score in the last few years that prominently features the theremin. Quarantine, composed by Justin Hurwitz, is a track from the film score to First Man, directed by Damien Chazelle, starring Ryan Gosling and Claire Foy.

In case you have been waiting for years to hear what progress I’ve made with the theremin… the wait is over. In upcoming videos I’ll have a lot more technology to share, but I’ll keep it simple for now with this theremin and modeled harp duet.
