A Nice Song For Autumn
video upload by Hologram Electronics
"Hologram’s home base (Knoxville, Tennessee) exhibits pretty stunning colors during the season’s change into winter. This song initially started as a backing track for a short video we made about the Hohner Pianet and Chroma Console, but we thought it would be cool to turn it into something a bit larger in scope and film the performance outside while the autumn landscape is at peak vibrance.
We get a lot of comments asking us to make longer versions of the demos/songs we write to showcase our pedals, so this is us making good on those requests. This is an original piece written, performed, and filmed by Hologram staff - we hope you enjoy!"

Collide 4 | Quadrature Spectral Computer | by Joranalogue and Hainbach
video upload by Cinematic Laboratory
"A few months ago, Hainbach recycled the full circle of 1950's being pioneered by people like Mort Subotnick and then miniaturized by people like Don Buchla in the 1960's, then rediscovered by people like Hainbach (and many others I am not familiar with) in the 2020's and then miniaturized into 20 HP by Joran from Jorananalogue in 2024. Hello COLLIDE 4, what took you so long?
I've been intrigued with Hainbach's journey into the vintage and classic scrapheaps of sound but the risk of shock, the smell, weight and size of all this gear made it easy to resist or even explore. I absolutely loved his Totem project making the best drones I ever heard. But this particular rabbit hole was easy to resist. 20 HP is not.
The COLLIDE 4 brings a lot of unfamiliar concepts to the table of sound design, like a Lock-in Amp, a Hilbert Transform Network and a Quadrature VCO. Just when you thought you were getting the hang of eurorack, again you realize you know nothing. It also features a filter, an envelope follower and a phase/frequency shifter. It's all originally designed to detect and possibly isolate little sounds in a soup of very faint noise, so the first thing people do is to crank it up and wonder if it can make normal music. Yes it can, and it saturates like nothing else. Just don't buy it BECAUSE you want to make normal music.
My favorite use case is to explore very faint sounds, like the raw output from a Piezo, an electric guitar or a sensitive electromagnetic sniffer. Theres a whole new world out there for you to discover."

Escaping to Nature with the Digitone
video upload by VoltageCtrlRtv
"Sometimes, I need to step away from screens and just reconnect with nature. My birthday was on the 7th so I I packed up my Elektron Digitone, the Myvolts Step Up Explorers Kit, and a portable Bluetooth speaker and headed out to a quiet spot where I could breathe. Being surrounded by trees and open skies always inspires something deeper in my music; it's like the melodies just flow naturally in response to the landscape. I found a shady spot, plugged in, and let the Digitone hum its warm, evolving tones. As I dialed in delicate FM textures, while listening organic sounds, I felt an incredible sense of peace. Making ambient music here felt right, like syncing with a rhythm older than any technology.

The Swarm by Atrium Instruments
video upload by DECIMA1

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Knob-For-Knob Functionality
We at Artium Instruments are committed to knob-for-knob functionality. Every feature of The Swarm is directly mapped to a knob, button, switch, or jack, ensuring effortless control. There's no need for menu-diving or complicated sequences of button presses to access features; everything is conveniently accessible at your fingertips.
Curated, Onboard Effects
With over a decade of experience in the effects industry, we have carefully curated a selection of effects that seamlessly complement the synth core. Unique to The Swarm is its capability to use the onboard effects with other equipment, allowing you to route external audio through the inputs on the back.
Plug and Play Functionality
The Swarm utilizes a USB-C MIDI host for simplicity and ease of use. Most modern class-compliant MIDI controllers with USB functionality should plug in and work immediately with zero setup. Additionally, The Swarm provides power to your controller, streamlining your setup process. For older controllers that only have DIN connections, a USB to DIN converter can be used to ensure compatibility. (These converters typically cost $10-20)
Quality Craftsmanship, Intentional Design
We've invested considerable thought into crafting the overall feel of the instrument. From the layout of the knobs to the choice of colors, artwork, and the weight of the enclosure, every detail has been considered. These details matter to us because we recognize that the connection a user forms with a piece of gear is almost as crucial in the creative process as the sounds it produces. We hope you can feel the love and passion we've poured into every aspect of The Swarm, from its sonic capabilities to its design aesthetics.
Open Source Platform
Artium desktop synths use an open source platform known as Axoloti or Ksoloti for development and implementation of its products. Click here for details on the open source platform being used.
SYNTH CORE
Oscillator
The Swarm features a SuperSaw oscillator with 8-note polyphony. This oscillator is composed of seven individual saw waves stacked on top of each other. The magic unfolds when you detune the waveforms by applying a frequency offset, resulting in one of the most massive synth sounds available.
Gm Xe Introduces AuraTie 4U Digital Effects Module
AuraTie 4U reverb vibrate delay Walk through video upload by Gm Xe
"The official announcement of the Auratie 4U stereo module.
AURATIE is a stereo digital effects module designed in Buchla voltage format, featuring dual-channel stereo output. It employs a Tini transfer switch that supports automatic switching between mono and stereo inputs. AURATIE aims to explore the extension of single tones into the stereo realm. It transforms simple sounds into expansive and reshaped experiences, making it particularly effective for designing drone soundscapes. The interaction between vibrate and delay creates unique feedback with different delays and frequency changes across the left and right channels. The reverb’s gritty design, combined with the vibrate interaction, allows for intriguing experimentation, enabling users to switch the positions of the two parts for further exploration."

"Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Rev 2 61-Key 5-Voice Analog Polyphonic Synthesizer. The Rev 2's tend to be the most coveted holy grail version of the Prophet 5 due to the design implementing SSM chips rather than later Prophet 5 Rev 3's Curtis chips. The Rev 2's have a more raw, bold aggressive sound that some consider to be the real classic tone that a P5 should have. This one is tested and fully functional. Previous owner bought it from a synth shop that tends to refurbish all their items for sale so it's likely been gone through as needed in the past. Includes high quality dust cover. It's in excellent shape for its age, with most of the wear as expected on the bottom surface. The top and sides are in great shape with minor signs of wear. This example has been well taken care of."

Reissue SP1200s are preferred over the OG gray ones because they do no have hot or failing power supplies like the original and they also can work on worldwide power automatically without having to do any setting changes. Also being made several years after the OG units they will have less age, wear and tear on them than the original gray models."

"This is more or less an attic find, except the attic has been my teaching office for the last 20 years. This Roland TR-808 seems to have had a pretty easy life between the time it was made in the early 80s and when I bought it in 2002. For second half of its life it's been used maybe a grand total of 10-20 hours: once a year I would bring it in for my big lecture class on EDM and fire it up for a demonstration. It hasn't seen the inside of a studio or been used for a gig in over two decades. So the wear-and-tear on this box has been minimal!"

"The PE-2000 (Polyphonic Ensemble S) is a string synthesizer, creating a richer sound than the PE-1000 through the use of three oscillators per note, possibly employing delayed and detuned variations of a single oscillator, and a built-in phaser effect. It includes eight presets, such as organ, brass, chorus, and string sounds, and was utilized by notable artists like Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Hawkwind. #analogsynthesizer #analogsynth #electronicmusic #korgsynth #synthesizer #korgsynthesizer #vintagesynthesizer #stringsynth"
