"Born out of the first stage in Euterpe’s 4U rack-mount filterbank (Vertice), the itinera is a VCF, distortion and audio destruction behemoth. Featuring a heafty 100% analog preamp, four filter types (notch, hipass band and low pass), discrete (transistor) overdrive and diode clipping stages, and carefully selected cv inputs, the sonic palette is massive and there’s really nothing quite this machine. The giant knobs, jumbo switches and well spaced panel invite you in and provoke you to destroy whatever signal you have ready for patching. The tonal outputs are unique and bold. Resonances sound intensely full, with characteristics unique to this circuit. Aggressive yet pleasant. As if a wasp filter was built out of tubes. But there are no tubes here. Whatever magic is happening behind the panel sounds incredible and the results are addictive and an absolute a joy to play with.

The Euterpe - Itinera is available right now from Nosiebug. These filters are carefully hand crafted in Italy. Nosiebug currently has serial numbers 33 through 38 out 50 units total.

This Realistic 31-1986 Stereo Frequency Equalizer sounds great. People argue about it on Gearslutz. In this video, the input and output of the 31-1986 are both plugged into the Rucci Electronics passive matrix mixer to create a feedback loop, then I ride the faders to control the pitch. One of the outputs also goes through the Peavey DDL-3 delay. Each band slider has an intention at 0db, which is how I could keep this roughly in tune."

Since they look so similiar it was too tempting to compare those 2 classic rhythm units. Despite their similar design they are quite different, and the comparision is not really fair to the Korg since the Roland has programing abiltities. The CR-5000 would have been a closer contender but I don't own one so it is the 8000.
Though the Korg Rhythm 55 has less features and sounds than the Roland it has more patterns (48 patterns wheras the Roland features 24 preset patterns and 8 user ones) and a tighter, punchier sound.
Overall I prefer the Roland, especially for percussive sound (cowbell, claves, tom, rimshot and that amazing clap) but the kick, snare and hi hats of the Korg are very nice.
The Korg was fitted with a 24 ppq clock input so it can easily be synced to other gear in the studio, as it is the case here, slaved to the Roland.
The Roland had it's Kick, Snare and Toms sounds modified slightly. The kick is lower and boomier than it originally is and the snare is way snappier than it originally is. The Tom had the white noise part removed to have a more round sound."

"Classic presets analog drum machine from 1979.

Unit was serviced and is in fully working order.
It was fitted with a 3,5mm jack clock input. It works on 24 PPQ so like most of the gear you will have in your studio and much easier to sync than the 8 PPQ the unit internally runs on. Check the video, as it is synced to the Roland CR-8000

Cosmetic is fair with some cracks on the case and bumps here and there, see pictures."

Update: "GEM is an image processing package from PureData. Kogomi's particle images are based on this. I used to create images using Proce55ing, but I wanted to create visuals that were perfectly synchronized with MIDI signals, so I started using GEM. It's fine to simply stream images using a ready-made visualizer, but I wanted to create original visual images that were synchronized with sound."

"This is one of likely one Roland Jupiter 6 with 8 voices. It was a custom project made by Roland engineers in the 80s. Usually the JP-6 has a 2 voice board and a 4 voice board, but this one has custom code and a fully populated second 4 voice board for more polyphony or two 4 voice splits. It also has a custom RAM mod that gives you 3x the patch banks for more patch storage.

The synth itself is in good shape. There are a handful of slider caps that don't match (from Juno 106 and JX3P) but that's only cosmetic. It is fully functional with no issues.

If you want something nobody else has, this is it."

Usually I do generative stuff, but it was fun to make something more in the spirit of a custom synth, and then to perform that synth.

"Demonstrating a simple circuit that provides flexible and dynamic signal distortion as a sound effect for synthesizers and gitars. Basics explained in my movie : Pipeline distortion, basics. Here the build version is shown with sound examples. Note that for the sound examples the input is just a basic sinewave, all harmonics and modulation come from the distortion effect. (no other effects are used).
