CHASE BLISS HABIT // Exploration Jam 1 // MicroFreak + DOD RUBBERNECK Analog Delay

video upload by LESINDES

"Playing CHASE BLISS HABIT for the first time after having read the initial chapter of the manual. Manual DIP switch ON. All other DIP switches OFF and in the beginning only playing with the two delays and repeat rate.
In order to give the sound a bit more with and liveliness I processed the HABIT signal thru the RUBBERNCK which is faded in in the beginning resulting in a very nice stereo image.
The DOD RUBBERNECK is panned to the LEFT and HABIT's mono only signal to RIGHT."

DOD 512 multi effects with RAM loop parameter adjustments

circuitbenders.co.uk

"Sometimes when you forcibly loop the RAM on an effects unit, the parameter knobs remain active to a certain extent. This is what happens when you adjust the delay time parameter on a DOD512, with the delay RAM contents looping continuously."

More Distortion!

Published on Jun 1, 2016 HardtekStudios

"I have wanted to do this video for a while now. The Arturia Microbrute is 1st going into the Boss Hyper Fuzz, then the DOD Death Metal distortion, then the Digitech Grunge and finally the Digitech Weapon. In case you are wondering, then is about half of my distortion pedal collection, but if I added more distortion pedals, it would have gotten too messy."

DOD FX45 Analog Stereo Reverb with Moog Little Phatty

YouTube via Dovinia | December 14, 2010 | 0 likes, 0 dislikes

"This is probably the first and, for the time being, only demo of the rare DOD FX-45 Stereo Reverb pedal anywhere on the web. This bucket brigade based analog reverb was released in 1985 but was quickly discontinued. It differs from other simillar pedals from the same era (notably the Arion SRV-1) in that it employs two MN3011 BBD's instead of just one. In this demo I'm just noodling around rather pathetically on my Little Phatty in order to give you an impression of how the DOD FX-45 actually sounds. As you can hear this is a room type reverb. Or rather a bathroom type reverb... It has a total of 5 delay lines which crash together and creates something not entirely unlike reverb. This weird pedal has it's serious limitations, but it is analog and for some (like me) that makes it very interesting."

Noise Makers on addicted to noise

via addicted to noise, a new site on various noise makers (more below).

Pictured:
"Left-to-right, top-to-bottom:
Jomox M-Resonator, Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail, DOD FX32 Meat Box, Bleep Labs Nebulophone
Behringer Xenyx 802, 4MS Autonomous Bassline Generator, Ciat-Lonbarde Tetrazzi Organus

The signal path is:
Tetrazzi Organ (stereo) > M-Resonator (stereo) > channel on mixer
ABG / Nebulophone > channel on mixer
FX send on mixer: Holy Grail > Meat Box > channel on mixer
mixer > amplification+sound!"

via Josh of addicted to noise:
"I've started up a site that's dedicated to doing reviews, samples, holding discussions and soon to feature video reviews of music hardware for experimental artists. Will be covering a lot of different devices very soon--for now the only review I have finished is for the DOD FX32 Meat Box, but I have plans to cover some of the Andromeda Space Rockers kits, the Ciat-Lonbarde Tetrazzi Organus, Jomox M-Resonator, etc, all in a fashion that will favor people of an experimental nature. I feel like this is a presence that is lacking amongst all the guitar effects demos on YouTube and on other sites; not enough thinking that strays from the path."

YouTube via NoizeHack — June 04, 2010 —

"I built an Atari Punk Console (556 timer synth) and then ran it through a cool 4ms simsam2.0 kit I built and then ran that into an MXR Distortion + and then ran that into a DOD flanger I got at a garage sale for $7 and then into my honeytone. some awesome terrible noises."

Uglyface, Tremulus Lune and DOD440 in a box

YouTube via Dovinia
"This is a multieffects unit consisting of an Uglyface (oscillator/fuzz), a Tremulus Lune (tremolo) and a modified DOD 440 Envelope Filter. It sounds quite terrible, but that's the whole point. While the soundquality is rather abyssmal, things may get somewhat more interesting if it is played in stereo; Try adding "&fmt=18" at the end of the url."

The Uglyface is by Tim Escobedo. When available you can find them on Ebay here.
The Tremulus Lune is by 4ms. You can find some 4ms pedals on Ebay here and at Big City Music.
