via this auction

"A very nice EMS VCS3 studio modular synthesizer in fully working condition !! cosmetics just some marks on the wood case (see pictures) otherwise perfect ! all patchpins are presented.

this is a piece of history synthesizers , made in the UK in small examples ,to create a sound you have to use the patch system , you have to know how to work with it ! very complex sound creation possible and with the joystick to vector a way thru the sound field , this one has a update like sync OSC's and the filter selecter 24 db/18 db ! 220 volts !!"

Vintage Octave Plateau Voyetra Eight 08

via this auction

"Here's a rare chance to grab one of the best polyphonic 8 voices midi analog synth on the planet: A Vintage synthesiser Octave plateau Voyetra 8 rev 4.

I place it in the same league as a Jupiter 8, except that the V8 is midi, doesn't take so much space and is much harder to source.

Less than 800 ever built, many of them are malfunctioning ( early revision without the black fan at the back never worked properly) and not many were upgraded to the latest revision 4 ( barely a few hundreds).

Rev4 offers more midi capabilities like control over velocity, modwheel and pitchbend.

Rev 4 is also the only revision that you can control using the midi editor Midiquest Xl or via the V8 app for the Mackie controller C4 .

Voyetra-8 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's been fully serviced 3 years ago by Peter Lanzillotta . This baby tunes & works perfectly but will have Peter look at it again at my expense when it's sold for your peace of mind. The waiting time won't be more than 1 week after i receive your payment. Peter and I live in the same city, i know him well as he has serviced all 7 Voyetra's i've owned in my life.

I didn't list the VKP5 in this auction but it's available. If you're interested in the keyboard as well let me know and we'll work out a deal."

Sold For: US $5,300.00

FM Feedback Matrix 4x4 grid

YouTube via NoizeHack — April 15, 2010 —

"http://noizehack.com/fm-feedback-matrix Pure Data FM (frequency modulation) feedback matrix 4X4 grid for making nice FM sounds or horrible nasty fm feedback noises, or some combination of the two. it is fun to play with. you can download it for free at http://noizehack.com/fm-feedback-matrix. you might be able to create interesting and unpredictable responses with this for making your digital synths sound more analogue, maybe if you can figure out how to implement it."

Welson Syntex Ultra Rarer analoger Italo Synthesizer

via this auction

(English translation below)

Up for sale here we have a full working Welson Syntex synthesizer .

Due its age = noisy slider and switches and signs of usage....but full working"

via Florian who provided this translation:

"I offer a Welson synthesizer of type Syntex. The Syntex is completely functional and can be played, but regarding its age some switches and potentiometers crackle - as most of the italian synths from this age.

Also there are optical traces of usage - corresponding to its age.

Exceptional good filter, definitely one of the best discrete built filters in an italian synth.

Totally crazy Sample and Hold function ;-), full ADSR envelope, LFO modulation on both of the two Oscillators, VCF and VCA.

Schematics will be delivered as pdf.

You can see this synth on youtube in a Grobschnitt - anyware video [remark: Grobschnitt is a mid to late seventies Krautrockband] ... damn' long ago.

I'd favour local pickup, since this synth is quite delicate ... shipping is possible but definitely on the risk of the buyer.

I had three of those ... they accumulated here somehow ;-))
Recently I sold one here. This one is the second I am selling. The last one I will keep.

As usual...
No Warrenty, since this is a private sale [remark: this is a legally required disclaimer in the EU]

Since my profession is technician I can confirm that the Syntex works completely."

Update: Found the video here. Embedding disabled unfortunately, so you will have to watch there. You can clearly see it at 1:59.

Eigenlabs Eigenharp: Hear It, Know It, Love It

YouTube via gearwire — April 15, 2010 — "Understanding the potential of something as sophisticated and multi-faceted as the Eigenlabs Eigenharp can be overwhelming at first blush. To really help us wrap our feeble brains around this unique instrument we enlisted the help of developer and Eigenlabs founder James Lambert.

Mr. Lambert talks a little about the surprisingly long history of this new-to-the-market instrument, and does an impressive job detailing all its most important functions and features in under eight minutes. You also get to see and hear the Eigenharp Alpha and Eigenharp Pico in action in this, the most efficient Gearwire tradeshow video ever created."

Korg Wavedrum: We Get All Handsy With It At AES

Polyphonic front end

YouTube via organfairy — April 15, 2010 —

"I am about to record a demo with my newly constructed mini modular analogue synthesizer. But I intend to blend in some chords too which the synthesizer should process.

To generate the chords I am going to use this little organ or polyphonic front-end that I made some years ago. The idea is the same as in the Paia Oz/Gnome duo: An organ-like instrument provides the chords and the actual synthesizer gives the chords their timbre and volume.

The music in this video is played on the Technics SX-C600 organ and the Roland SH-2000 synthesizer.

Sorry about the sketchy half-finished schematics in this video. When I made the mini organ I didn't know that I was going to present it in a video."

The ensemble effect was engaged, as was the octave switch and the detuning of the 3 oscillator ranks. There are a set of pots for attack and release and a slider to control the brilliance of the sustaining voices. My impression of the Lambda choir is that it sounds like a mufled string synth.
