Analog synthesizers live demo 7; feat. Kraftwerk and Vangelis ; please use headphones

video by Synthe_64

"please use headphones: since this is recorded live, the mixing is not very good, but when you use headphones you will hear all extras like bass, wind, phasing, panning etc.
In this demo you can hear the mighty analog synths: Moog minimoog ( 1973 ), Korg MS10, Yamaha CS10 and Roland SH2.
More recent are the Roland U220 and Yamaha FB01 midi modules. The newbies are the Arp Odissey ( Korg ) and Arturia Microbrute. The modulars are Pittsburgh Modular and Doepfer Dark Energy along with the Dark Time.
Rhythm provided by the Akai Rhythm Wolf.
Everything is played live. No prerecording, post editing or mixing."

In this demo, the solo's are played with a Minimoog ( 1973 ) and a Roland SH2. The bass partion is from the Yamaha CS10 and de ARP Odissey. Chords are played with 2 Roland JV1010 modules and a Yamaha FB01.
The modulars are mainly Pittsburgh and Doepfer. Sequencers are Pittsburgh, Doepfer dark time and the Korg SQ1. Additional drum is done by the Korg monotribe and the EMW T-drum module. Finally some FX from Roland, Yamaha and Alesis.
Everything is played live, no post production. I don't use midi , everything is connected trough CV, Gates and clock signals."

James Song - An Improvisation by MyOneManBand

Published on May 12, 2016

Gear list further below.

"This is the first of a series I will be making in response to the sheets filled out by the audience of my last TEDx talk.

........................................
About Me :
MyOneManBand is the name I give to the live improvisational electronica that I create in real-time out of sounds from many instruments, often using a mixture of organic sound sets such at classical guitar, marimba, dulcimer, kalimba, accordion and drums with synthetic textures electronic percussion, beeps, bleeps and hiss.

I make music to please an urge that exists within me to see what is possible to accomplish on my own with no pre-recording or backing tracks. I came to this way of working through the live-looping process using audio recording tools such as the Boss Loopstation and Echoplex Digital Pro, but I now find for the main part that MIDI is more flexible for what I do as it allows the musical structures of my work to remain flexible in real time so I can add and strip away layers in a non linear way.

I also make music to take my own small space within the context of the many great artists who are also working in the field and as such I am on a journey that does not expect reward financially or through the more conventional measures of success, but rather I hope to find value in my work through the people who I meet through its undertaking and the ideas and thoughts that they bring into my life.
I am therefore always eager to engage with my views through critique, help or just to talk geek for a while...please...never be afraid to get in touch.

Thanks very much for watching, if you like my work , please consider subscribing to help me continue to spread my work to like minded people.

Behringer PRO-800 TouchOSC Bidirectional Editor v3.0

Behringer PRO-800 TouchOSC Bidirectional Editor v3.0 from synth_nyc on Vimeo.

via synth_nyc

"Global Settings parameters (starting at 03:30 in the video above) are now bidirectional (read / write from / to synth).

Script:
- Press Request to load the synth current Global Settings in the editor
- Start editing (in the editor)
- Press Write to save the Global Settings to the synth
- Re-edit the Global Settings (in the editor)
- Press Request to re-load the synth Global Settings in the editor, to demonstrate that it's the exact same Global Settings as edited a minute ago

Also as requested by some of you folks, I'm providing a free trial version of the editor:
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/1y9ss...bm8o9ykp9&dl=0
- Choose MIDI Channel
- Send Bank and Program Change
- Request any patch from the synth, but only Oscillator A Volume is read
- Write a default patch to the synth (any location), with user chosen Oscillator A Volume
NB:
- Requires a TouchOSC license (https://hexler.net/touchosc)
- Make sure to select "PRO 800" in the TouchOSC application menu / Connections... / MIDI / Connection 1 / Send Port and Receive Port sub menu to enable bidirectional communication

Have fun!
PS: In v3.0, SYSEX strings parsing / encoding procedure has been 'industrialized' which should enable future synth support with minimal effort"

MOMB Tenori Tutorial

Published on Aug 8, 2013

"I thought I would do a little video showing how the Tenorion can be used as an awesome multi-channel MIDI step sequencer.

The great thing is every channel can run at its own speed and also you can save variations of the sequence at different points and then move between them during the performance.

I hope you enjoy the tune, let me know if you have any questions.

How Bata Make's Electronic Music

video upload by Bata

"Going over my whole setup briefly. This is probably the most detailed studio tour/setup description I'll do unless I start a patreon or something and need extra videos. I don't mention a lot of the random gear like outboard compressors, EQs, etc just the things I'm most commonly using in my videos. If you have questions feel free to ask in the comments but I won't be writing very long replies so try to keep the questions simple."

Jamming with Nord Wave, Yamaha CS-15, and Friends

video upload by Bata

"Sequencing the Nord Wave, Yamaha CS-15, Studio Electronics Boomstar, and Moog Source from the Akai MPC-X. The CS-15 is using a Kenton Pro Solo MK3 as midi to CV converter and the Source is using a Roland SBX-1. Drums are from the MPC and are Oberheim DMX samples. The highhat is going through a DeltaLab effectron for flanging. Behringer Pro-1 does the lead with its filter being modulated from the free running Frostwave Fat Controller."
