Cosmos Quencer Live Example1

video upload by centrevillage

"Two Cosmos Quencers controlled by a joystick (Doepfer A-174-4).

Cosmos Quencer has external cv / gate / mod inputs.
So you can modulate the internal sequence by the external cv/gate signal.

It's so fun!

🧚 Fairy Fountain | The Legend of Zelda | Modular Synthesizer

video upload by Sworn64

"🧚 This is a classic video game song from The Legend of Zelda series with tons of nostalgia. Please enjoy this modular synthesizer version of the song.

I initially made this as a way to learn more about working with chords on the Audiophile Circuits League Sinfonion module. This song has lots of chord changes, so I thought it was a great choice.

NAMM 2020: Doepfer A-174-4 3 Dimensional Joystick

Published on Jan 18, 2020 Perfect Circuit

"While Doepfer's new joystick module might seem simple at first, we still firmly believe it to be one of the coolest new Eurorack modules at NAMM 2020.

The new Doepfer A-147-4 is a heavy-duty joystick for Eurorack modular synthesizers. It features the expected X and Y axis outputs, but additionally provides Z-axis control by allowing users to twist the joystick itself—meaning that in a single movement, performers can manipulate three axes of movement. And with several integrated axis overlap functions, manual gate, and combined axis voltages, the A-147-4 can be used to produce tons of correlated voltages simultaneously, making for an intuitive and powerful expressive controller. Use it for multichannel panning, pitch bend, or intricate macro control—and feel like a fighter pilot while doing it!

NAMM 2020: Doepfer Made a Joystick Controller With A New Axis!!

Published on Jan 17, 2020 sonicstate

Try taking that on a flight...

"With the proliferation of the Eurorack format, Doepfer sometimes get pushed to the side however if you can look past the utilitarian front panels then you'll see that Dieter Doepfer is continually making really useful, interesting and feature packed modules.

The Doepfer A-174-4 is a joy stick controller that gives you a ton of cv outputs. 4 quadrant outputs, xyz rotation and a gate. We also took a look at a few other modules that have been added to the a-100 line this year."

A-111-6 featured as well.

BURG - reverse adrenaline (ms-20, eurorack, monologue)

Published on Jan 12, 2019

"If you like my stuff please support me on http://music.ollilab.com/ and https://www.patreon.com/theBURG

#ms20 #eurorack #KORGmonologue

This track is really all about the monologue bass and the ms-20 5 step sequence, to help drive that groove throughout the tune. The bass goes pretty low in the beginning (with the filter turned down) so make sure you have proper headphones or speaker to hear / feel the bass from the monologue.

The modular has 5 sounds,

1.) Braids is the first sound you hear, heavily modulated + bandpass filter and sequenced by the QuBit octone with a 5 step sequence.

2.) Rings is doing, well rings style sounds with a random style sequence.

3.) In the morphagene i have recorded a piano loop, played in reverse with some serious modulated granular mayhem.

4.) BIA is doing percussion, with some nice ratcheting programmed in the eloquencer

5.) 3x doepfer VCOs are doing the chord stabs, controlled by the uO_C.

The planar 2 joystick is modulating MI Rings, uVCF and Ripples. Tetrapad is controlling the morphagene, Gene Size and Slide.

Gear Used:

- KORG ms-20 mini + SQ-1, FX, strymon el capistan
- KORG monologue, FX, presonus mixer plate reverb

Edgar Froese Tribute by Eric G on the EHS Modular System

Published on Jun 24, 2015 Stnibar

"Thank you Edgar for all the beautiful music and inspiration!
Here is an improvised, one-take (no edits) tribute to Edgar made by eric g. He plays EHS Synthi Mu, EHS 3P Modular, EMU VK-6, ARP Pro soloist."

Spotted this one on Synthtopia. Like me, you might be wondering what the EHS Synthi Mu & 3P modular is. It appears it is a custom 5U/MU system by Stnibar aka Eric G featuring his own DIY modules and others.

via Eric G's website:

"This is my self built modular synth. It is a three cabinet, MU, portable Moog look-alike. Most modules are designed and built by me but there are also modules from Arrick, Doepfer and SSL.

Module listing

Eurorack Modular Demos by Brandon Logic

Published on Oct 2, 2016 brandon logic

Playlist:
1. Reflex Liveloop use as a sampler demo.

2. Epoch Twin Peak vs the Klangbau Twin Peak filter. Filter sound comparison.

"From 0 to 3:45 i'm filtering a square wave from the Sputnik Oscillator through the Klangbau then through the Epoch. from 3:45 to 8:40 i'm using only triggers from Mutable Instruments Grids into the audio inputs of the filters (and multing to mod a and b of the Epoch). Here, the Epoch is panned hard left and the Klangbau hard right. from 8:40 untill the end, it's back to the sputnik square and some random wiggling of both filters at onece, still panned hard left and right.

Recording is completely dry, no effects or eq. In this demo, i'm using animodule line amp as a buffered mult to split the signal going into the audio input of the epoch to also go into the peak a and peak b mod inputs of the Epoch. This is because this is similar to how the Klangbau's Tr-F1 adn Tr-F2 controls are internally wired. I am using channel two of the line amp to boost the output of the epoch because it tends to output below standard euro modular level. line amp helps boot it normal euro levels. The Epoch requires more patching for this comparison but it also has more cv inputs for modulation and is a little more flexible under cv control and is easier to fine tune with it's knobs compared to the Klangbau's joystick, which make it hard to dial in two specific filter frequencies to track with other oscillators and v/oct, although the joystick is nice for improv and performance . you might notice that the Klangbau sometimes has a little clipping or distortion. from my experience this is part of the character of the the Klangbau version, which can sound nice! it can be controlled to some extent with the input level knob. The Klangbau will consistently self resonate with the resonance all the way up, so it is capable of longer sustaining rings . the Epoch does not self resonate like this without modulation/pings."

3. Glockenspiel vs Modualr adventures in sound.

"here, i'm experimenting with running acoustic sound (glockenspiel and drum) through my synth for both audio processing and triggering sounds and events. the sound runs through the 4ms spectral multiband resonator to convert the audio into envelopes which are then converted to triggers to fire sounds in the synth and trigger random voltages (wogglebug, ura, a-149 and turing machine) which create the variety of sounds you hear. I'm using the 4ms dual dealy to create the loops. the glockenspiel loop is then going through the reflex liveloop to create the glitchy delay and pitch shifting effects. the drum loops its going the warps parasites dealy and then to clouds for more audio manipulations."
