Vintage Univox Compac CP115B Analog Keyboard

via this auction
The Compac 2 as seen in this post was all black.

"Model Compac CP-115B -Serial Number: A / 0317 -Scale Length 30" (61 Keys) -Weight: 26.45lbs

Rare Univox Compac electric piano, made in Italy by Canalini in the early 1970’s. This super hip vintage electric piano simply sounds amazing!! The Compac model was endorsed and played by some top keyboard players of the 1970's (Billy Preston and Edgar Winter) for its tonality and lush analog sound– it sounds incredible."

the new lines - voyager program 1977 [Mattson Mini Modular & EMS Synthi]

YouTube Uploaded by hewstigator on Apr 22, 2011

"This track features two of our favorite synths, the ems synthi and the mattson mini modular working together to produce the electronic creaks and chirps in the background...

We considered using actual voyager footage but somehow shots of computers being sent into space... lacked the appropriate emotional impact...

single available on thenewlines.bandcamp.com
Split 7" with the still corners in the works via the great pop supplement"

mattson mini modular color changing lights relocated to the power panel (and playing part of a song)

YouTube Uploaded by hewstigator on Apr 29, 2011

"The point of this video is just to show where I relocated my color changing led lights from a prior video... since I used up the spots where my blanking panels used to be, I stuck the leds behind the power panel on the lower right... no other mods needed since the light shines through the panels as is (the aluminum behind the graphics have a 4x4 pattern pre-drilled).

The melody is just some draft song which we may complete later... to hear a full song please check out our recent video,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcEhpxl6GwU [above]
or thenewlines.bandcamp.com

There are some moogerfoogers shown also but only the freqbox is used to add some high melancholic overtones... I say melancholic because it is quite difficult to get the v/oct scaling just right so unless you hit the sync it will be a tiny bit out of tune but I like the effect...!

Although the mattson modular plays all of the parts of the song, the video only really shows it playing one of the melody lines since I only have one midi/cv converter and can only have it play one part at a time."

Folktek Arts Time Machine Ver. 5

via Folktek Arts
"A commissioned collaborative work by Arius Blaze and Ben Houston with Folktek Magnetic patchbay - live remixing the world. The Time Machine takes incoming sound, samples that sound (up to about four seconds) and twists it up however the player likes - in thousands of ways. Or it can be used for a real nasty delay with dub feedback in addition to the possibilties as a multi-osc. sound generator.

David Cockerell NAMM.org Video Interview

"David Cockerell designed one of the earliest synthesizers produced in the United Kingdom. The Synthi was introduced in the late 1960s by EMS Ltd. The unit, which came in a case with a KS keyboard, used patch cords to root reverb and ring modes. David also included two oscillators both with shape and level controllers as well as a frequency control. The design marked the beginning of many contributions to the industry over the years including his work on guitar effects pedals for Mike Matthews in the 1980s."

Easy Synthing: Novation K-Station

YouTube Uploaded by se7ense7 on Apr 30, 2011

"Some random synthesis on the K-Station. No vocoders or elaborate patches. Just some LFO routing, sync, filter env, delay, reverb, distortion... It's capable of much much more... but as you know these video's are all about simple synthesis on various synthesizers...

Cool little synth, allmost every paramter has it's own knob (a lot of similarities with the Nova and Supernova) ... you shouldn't pay any more then €250-300 for it. I bought mine for €150 (without adapter). This synth is small enough to actual take it with you... I'm gigging with this too... no batteries - so no synthing on the train or bus...

The vocoder is - I think - better than the one on the Microkorg. Less clipping. There are less parameters to adjust though... I'll have a go at a video showing this later...

I also make actual tracks with these synths I'm demoing... Go have a look at http://www.soundcloud.com/alienrobotdance - look for me on facebook - or have a look at my weblog at http://alienrobotdance.wordpress.com"

"The SAS-4 is a 4 voice polyphonic virtualization analog synthesizer for iPad.

I think that I can enjoy the atmosphere of an analog synthesizer 30 years ago.

The layout on the panel of the SAS-4 images the Oberheim OB-Xa. However, the output tone is the one that is original SAS-4 different from the OB-Xa."

"SAS-5A/SAS-2A has the basic functions of a traditional polyphonic Analog Synthesizer is realized on the iPad. 5 voice (SAS-2A is 2 voice) can sound simultaneously.

SAS-5A/SAS-2A panel is an image with Oberheim OB-Xa. If, OB-X if you have an operation, the operation is easy. But the sound is separate from the output."

The difference between SAS-2A and SAS-5A is presence in the number of pronunciations and Delay Effect."

Moog Modular Vintage Analog Synthesizer 1969 (LA) For Sale

via Craigslist

"Here is your once in a life time chance to own a vintage Moog Modular. If you are looking at this I probably don't need to tell you about the history of Moog and the importance these early modulars had on the impact of music. This is THE classic vintage analog synthesizer. This Moog modular is all original, and was made in 1969! All modules have close serial numbers, with matching stamped manufacture date from March 6th, 1969. It has been well preserved over the years and is in excellent shape for a 40+ year old instrument. This synth is fully functional and has recently been restored and fully serviced, including a recap, touching up the keyboard for perfect triggering, with replaced bushing for smoother action, and a cleaning of all pots and jacks. Cosmetically it is in great shape too, the only major issue is the rear a small piece of wood was cut away to tuck the keyboard cables under. You aren't likely to find another one from this year in such all original and nice condition!

Even includes the original keyboard.

Price is $35,000

Serious buyers only. Please reply with phone number. Cash preferred, may possibly be interested in a partial trade for other high end synthesizers (Arp 2500, 2600, EMS AKS Synthi VCS3, Buchla) or high end recording equipment (Neumann microphones, u47 u67 preamps, compressors)
See pictures below. More pictures are available per request. This synth is actually located in SF, but for a serious buyer I can deliver it to LA.
You are welcome to come test it out in person. We can ship it, but all money must clear before shipment. Skype demos are available if you are not local. I recommend that you better come hear it in person though, once you start patching and playing with this you won't want to give it up!"

"Some of the modules included, all dated from March 6th, 1969, are:

901 Voltage Controlled Oscillator
901-A x2 Oscillator Controller
901-B x5 Oscillator

Vintage Serge Modular Stolen From Bard College

This one in via Daniel

"my alma mater, bard college, just had a devastating theft. someone broke into the electronic music studio and ripped a panel out of their 4 panel Serge Modular. I spent two years learning about electronic music on this very instrument. The loss of the panel is utterly detrimental to the system—this was the panel which had all the filters and slope generators on it.

THIS IS A CUSTOM PANEL. if you see/find anything like it, it's probably that very one.

Chroma Enabler Available for Order

via Randel:

"I'm writing to let you know that I'm accepting orders for a production run of Enablers - my 96 knob physical controller for the CC+ equipped Rhodes Chroma

Photos and video are available at the following links:

http://enabler.redshift-consulting.com/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFS7jhMdfMw
[video below]

The price is $2,600 US, plus shipping, and orders will require an $800 US deposit. I anticipate a production time of approximately 6 months from the receipt of a deposit to the shipment of your Enabler.

Because each Enabler is hand crafted, there are a few opportunities for customization - I'm currently making the outer case from Bubinga for a customer, and I can vary the dimensions and finish of the case to attempt to match those of your Chroma. Also, I can customize the startup screen to display (nearly) any text that you wish.

Also, because each Enabler is hand crafted, there might be slight imperfections and variations in the casework, and in the operating system code; currently the LCD can become unresponsive after many hours of continuous use, but it's operation is restored after a power cycle.

Shipping and insurance is expensive. I'll work with domestic and international customers to determine the best way to get your Enabler to you.

If you're interested, please let me know, and send a deposit via PayPal [link]

I'm always happy to answer questions.

Thanks!

-Randel"
