via this auction "The Musini is a musical toy that little kids put on the ground. It plays music in time with the vibrations of their kid feet dancing around. Lights flash and the 16bit 44.1khz sound chip pumps out LOUD stereo music through the built in speakers. It is powered by batteries or wallwart (not included). It also has a headphone jack. Pretty damn cool and built very solid.
I don't get excited about most circuit bent stuff becaue it all kind of sounds the same to me. This bent Musini does NOT sound like a bent Casio! CD quality, stereo sounds with reverb, chorus, and other effects all stream out of this Musini. It's a rare beast because Musini's are still popular for their intended purpose thus tough to find and also because it's an easy machine to fry while looking for bend points.
From right to left, the mods are:
* Glitch Button: Press this button to start the fun, keep pressing to descend into more chaos.
* Power Starve Knob: Rotate this clockwise to simulate the batteries failing. Using this and the glitch button at the same time will keep you busy for years.
* Pitch Knob: Turn this knob counter-clockwise to lower the pitch of whatever noise is spewing out.
* Reset Button: If the Musini seems to be stuck and responding to the Glitch button, press Reset; it's the same as turning it off then on again but easier than finding the power switch on the underside.
* Hold Switch: The Musini is motion activated. If you get tired of making motions, flip the Hold switch and it will usually hold at the tempo it's currently at, but sometimes it just goes to a tempo of about 60bpm.
Using the different controls in combination with each other and the stock Musini controls yields widely-varied results. Even adjusting the volume or using the headphone jack instead of the built in speakers makes the Musini emit all kinds of different weirdness. The controls interact with each other in strange but magnificent ways."

"Serge Analog Modular Synthesizer and a homemade Thomas Henry Mega Percussive Synthesizer through a Fender Frontman 15G guitar amp, with a view of downtown Austin Texas. I can fit that amp in my backpack and it's loud enough to hear over other musicians, but easily overdriven. I recorded the audio from the amp through the mic on the camera and added reverb to it. The evil laughter is from me laughing at the ridiculous sound of the tempo change. Download the audio here: http://soundcloud.com/jargmarbin/it-m..."

"Extremely rare modular synthesizer. This was the predecessor to the Maplin 5600S and was available from 1973 (just after the EMS VCS3 became available) as a kit in the UK
The synthesizer has the following features:
4 VCO voltage controlled oscillators (each with sin, tri, saw, inverted saw and square wave with pulse width
All oscillators can be switched to Low range and have 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1 and 1/2' settings for pitch!
2 VCF voltage controlled filters (multimode lpf/bpf/hpf)
2 Amplifiers or Ring Modulators
3 envelope generators in the form of 1 Envelope Generator and 2 Transient Genrators
5 Mixers (3 x 5 input and 2 x 2 input)
1 Noise generator (pink & white)
1 Equalizer
1 Spring reverb
1 keyboard controller for glide and pitch modulation 1 joystick controller
1 four octave CV-Gate keyboard
1 Pitch Matrix patching system. Instead of patch cords, the system is patched this way

The project was started in March 2002 by Nasca Octavian Paul. He began to write ZynAddSubFX in order to create a synthesizer which could produce beautiful sounds, while being freely available to anybody who needs it.
The output of the computer goes into the BOSS DD7 Looper and then into my hifi-system. Just a spontaneous jam! Enjoy PS: recorded with my cellphone, sry"
* Realtime synth * Polyphonic synth (allows playing more than one note at once) * Mutlitimbral synth (allows playing more than one instrument at once) * Microtonal capabilities with any scale, up to 128 notes per octave, and key mapping * Three synthesizer engines: 1. "ADsynth" or "ADnote" is a complex engine which makes sounds by adding a number of voices. Each one has filters, envelopes, LFOs, morphing, modulation (Ring Modulation, Phase Modulation... the modulators can have any shape), resonance, etc. Each voice includes a very powerful waveform generator with up to 128 sine/non-sine harmonics. You can use Fourier synthesis or if you don't like it you can wave-shaping/filtering of functions. This engine includes anti-aliasing. 2. "SUBsynth" or "SUBnote" is a simple engine which makes sounds through subtraction of harmonics from white noise 3. "PADsynth" or "PADnote" is engine that makes very beautiful pads and other instruments. (these instruments can be exported for use with other programs too) * Legato, Poly, and Mono modes * Instruments can be organized in kits, which allows you to make drum kits or layered(mixed) instruments; this makes possible to use more than one instrument for a single part. It is possible to choose what items from the kit should be processed by the Part's effects. * Effects: o Reverb, Echo, Chorus/Flange, Phaser, AlienWah (it's a kind of vocal morpher), Distortion(Wave-shaping), EQ, DynamicFilter o The effects can behave as System Effects or as Insertion Effects; this allows to use many effects at the same time. You can put any insertion effect on any part(or more insertion effects to same parts, if you like so) or you can put the insertion effect to Master output (very useful if you use the EQ effect). Also, you can have instrument's effect (which save with the instrument). * Filters up to 60dB/octave (or more..); filters can be analogic (LPF,HPF, BPF,etc.), formant(advanced formant filters) and state variable (SVF) * Envelopes can have ADSR (or ASR, etc..) modes or can be free modes (with any shape) * Many settings have a "randomness" option, which you can make instruments that every time produces a subtle different sound; this produces a very pleasant effect (like analogue synths or natural instruments that can't produces exactly same sound twice). Because of this, even if it is digital synthesis, it sounds "warm". Listen the ogg vorbis demos from this page to hear this effect. * The specifications can be easily changed, so (for example) if you want to change the number of voices or parts to a higher value or to allow a higher number of effects at the same time, there is necessary to change only a single value from the source file (globals.h) and to recompile the program * Intuitive and easy to use User Interface with Clipboard and many objects has user presets * Midi support (supports many controllers) and (if you want) JACK support * A built-in Virtual Keyboard which let you to use it even if you don't have a real midi keyboard * The graphical user interface can be completely disabled if the user need so * It is a free program, licensed under version 2 of the GNU General Public License * LASH support * DSSI audio output * Over 300 high quality instruments included * Many other features... It is is impossible to describe all this program's features in just a page"
"This simple Tap Tempo LFO is based on the PIC 16F684. You can set the LFO frequency by tapping a tempo on a button connected to the chip, or by changing the Tempo CV. With this chip you can build tap tempo effects units or stompboxes, tap tempo controlled drum machines or tap tempo sequencer clocks. All of these are described in the datasheet below." details at electric druid
Abbreviated as UASSO, this unique orchestra emerged sometime during winter/spring 2009. The idea was to gather analogue syntheseizer enthusiasts under the same roof, to practice for a live performance as the opening act of the new and exciting electronic music festival VOLT (www.voltfestivalen.se).
The arrangement and music was written by Erik Möller, Kristofer Ulfves and Mario Pierro.
The VOLT festival took place at 6th of June 2009 in the city of Uppsala, Sweden. For information of the line up, here is the last.fm event: last.fm/event/935709+Volt

YouTube via innerclock2004 "In this video we initially hear a recorded TR-808 audio loop playing from Ableton Live 8. As before, Live is driving the Sync-Lock via the Sync-Gen Plugin which is in turn driving a genuine TR-808 via Din Sync and an Akai MPC-60 MKI via Midi Clock. I first mute and then un-mute the TR-808 audio loop in Live so you know what it sounds like in isolation. Next I move to the real TR-808 and turn up the master output. I then turn to the MPC-60 and turn up the master output also. On the MPC-60 I hold the [Note Repeat] button and improvise on the Snare and Hi-Hat in quantized 16ths so you can hear the tight sync with both the real TR-808 and the Live audio loops as well. I turn down the real TR-808 for a few bars so you can hear just the MPC-60 and Live playing in sync and then bring the real TR-808 back up again in the mix. Finally, I take out the audio loop playing in Live laving just the TR-808 and the MPC-60 playing until the fade."
"This half-rack piece is, essentially, a two preset bank GM Rack module that features the ability to function in a 'Proteus Clone' mode, (with the exception of the sample ROM ), and features 32-voice polyphony, 16-part multitimbrality, 384 programmable presets, two digital effects processors, and a Mac computer interface. It was one of the first offerings of a General MIDI device, and certainly unique and collectible."
